9 pointsLike I said the other day we put some stuff away over the weekend. My 2 rj-58’s, 753, and 603. Plus my oldest son’s all original 856. The last piece of the puzzle is Wheelhorse_kid’s 604 up top. Plus he has 2 small engines (Briggs and Stratton WMB and a Continental) up there along with my spare Kohler K90. This is the beefed up version of what I have had for years. It helps get some out of the way. It’s nice to have my garage back. I have plenty of projects I’d like to work on in there lol.

5 pointsI went and got 3 more tractors last night. a huffy model H 1016 is the model it like a mustang mower if you have heard of one, the engine is free 5 hp briggs , a bonanza "truck" tractor witch is blue and is pretty neat, engine turns looks complete 8 or 10 hp electric start briggs , and a craftsman 131.96285 with a tecumpseh, engine is stuck and steering is stuck, and it looks complete also, has a plastic hood, but I got them for a great deal $150 for all them in a week or 2 I'm going back to get the Springfield 36. for more on top of these 3. there neat I'll get them unloaded when I get home and get some pictures of each of them.

5 pointsWe still lived in Florida when I drove to Jacksonville to check out some puppies. They were just looking for a good home and I ended up taking one. I asked when they were born and it was December 4th. Easy to remember because that's my birthday too. OK, fine. It was on the way home with the puppy that I realized the house address where she was at was 1954. The year I was born. 🙂

4 pointsI've always been fascinated by numbers and sequences of numbers, but last night I happened to look at my watch. It was 9:24. The date was 9/24, and my address is 924 Chapel Rd. Nothing special happened, and I'm still alive. Just sayin'

4 pointsLeaves haven’t started to turn much yet in NC, but the mowing intervals have dropped to once every two weeks. Much of the grass is turning yellow as well. I am no fan of cold, but I certainly don’t mind a break.

3 pointsThank you all!! Applied a bit more warmth and applied more acetone/atf bug juice and it broke free. Actually moves pretty well now after a lot of back and forth. Going to get the screws out of the butterfly and pull the shaft soak it berrymans then some time in the ultra sonic cleaner...

3 pointsWe have coyote issues up here. The coyotes impact the deer population that is a big money maker for the state. They wreak havoc on farms with cows, chickens etc…Coyote trappers come through my area every so often, and thin them out, but they bounce back.

2 pointsHere they firstly protected the Wolf by Law, but now after their populations grows, they droped the Protection down an also a Wolf can be shot if his dna is found by a killed sheep herd or a Cow herd. How this will be controlled is out of my knowledges because i never see a Wolf with a DNA Tag on his neck. Some our laws also here are very weird.

2 pointsHere all Hunters must definitely be certified by Goverment, even when you want privatly hunting. As far as i knew this is differently to the States. If you be certified you can pay a Tax to be a owner of a hunting Area - if you have the Luck to get one - because they be held for long terms. The yearly Tax depends on the Areal. The cheapest i from a Friend i know start from about 50.000/year up to.... When you „own“ than a hunting Area you be responsible for it and you can sub license it to others but only with a hunting certification, The hunting certification is allway‘s required. But it‘s hard to get a own hunting Area because they be mostly handed over since Generations. Hunt without any certification is strictly prohibited by Law and can sent you quickly in Jail. You be allowed to go with a hunter without permission but you be not allowed go by yourself, even if it is your own Property. Luckily my Neighbor is a licensed Hunter with several own hunting Areals all combined are definitely huge. This are all the Forrests, i was allowed to ride arround with my Tractas or the Subi. I didn‘t know how much it is at all but the Areal i fly for him are 18 Fields including the 6 Forrests. He has several sub licensed hunters.

2 pointsI personally believe that a lot of the equilibrium issues are due to the huge road trains travelling back and forth across Australia. Sometimes cancelled out by @Pullhosen’s Pony Express and his big rig travelling in the opposite direction, but exacerbated when both are going the same way. I think gravity would stop us from ‘Falling’ off if we tipped right over, we may experience a state of mild dizziness for a short time, and the only way we would know afterwards was if the water going down the plug hole swirled in the opposite direction to before? All of this deep thought is making me feel that I need to increase my 🥃🥃glasses of Jack Daniel’s to 🥃🥃🥃🥃 before bed time!🤪🤪🤪🤪

2 pointsThey be hunted down. i give our Hunters the info where they go in and out and they Watch them. Boars here make unbelievable damages if they be in a Field. sometimes they destroy all internally except the lst 4 rows to outside.

2 pointsYup, fall is here definitely. How to estimate - we have no penguins here as sign of fall. two simple signs .... Temps don’t rises they just - fall - that simple 🤪😂 Lot’s of quotations for droneflights But now not for fawn saving - they want inspection flights over the Cornfields if and where boars are in. that is for me the sign - fall is here.

2 pointsMy guess is someone used red loctite on the screws for the throttle butterfly. It ran down the shaft, pooled at the bottom and locked the shaft in place. Heat up the bottom of the carb where the pocket for the shaft is. I think that will free it up. Then you can get the screws out, take the shaft out and clean everything up.

1 pointOne variant of green Loctite is Stud & Bearing Mount.... it is designed to wick and flow into minescule places....We used to use it to seal a splined press fit joint on an automotive 2 piece product that was a source of pressure leakage during the final tester Leak test..... We made racks to hold 50 or so assemblies... spritz them on Monday, use them on Tuesday.
-
1 pointYes the red stuff Bill... unless it was put on greasy oily threads. Can't imagine why they would have used green? They ain't kiddin when they say there is no known way to get that off...

1 pointBack and forth repeat repeat repeat oil the top too. Back and forth repeat. You could try prying lightly on the butterfly in the same direction and at the same time. That shaft should also move just a tiny little bit up and down too so you can trying prying it up and tapping down on it too.
-
1 pointI've put bushings in the top of quite a few carbs. It's a loose enough fit that you certainly do not need to drive the shaft down through or anything like that. If it won't move either direction I would begin to wonder if someone got some Loctite down in that lower bushing housing. I think a little more heat shouldn't hurt much. But obviously, don't be too ambitious on that. I would be prone to trying to lock the carb into a vice and use large pliers or some such, to try to turn that throttle shaft towards the "more open" direction. More that turns open, the more freedom there should be for that butterfly.

1 pointWas looking through some things this evening and figured these belonged here! My grandparents and cousin with the Work Horse my grandpa bought new in ‘83 the picture is dated 1986 along with the original operators manual which was really cool to be able to read through. The tractor is still around too which is cool and one funny thing with it was my grandfather didn’t like the turf tires so the dealer swapped wheels off another tractor so somewhere out there there’s a wheel horse with the gloss white rears and this one has the beige white rims.

1 pointTrina's newly restored stove is AMAZING!! The thermostatic fan works wonderful. The draft is excellent. Certainly the best stove we've had on the main floor. She started it, got it going well, added ONE stick after that. We'll let the temp fall for the night now. HUGE difference compared to the other two stoves that have been here.

1 pointHaven’t biked in close to 7 weeks (usually get out 3-4 times a month). So this morning before I mowed my brothers lawn and my mother in laws lawn I got in a ride. Really hammered down and made good time with a good average speed…legs were not happy with me at all

1 pointI doubt anyone was really waiting for an update on this, but thought I should close the loop here… Purchased a few of the Sterling APDs (great customer service from the company owner/engineer in the UK) and did some experimenting on my test engines…start the engine, disconnect the battery, let it run for an hour under various loads and environmental conditions. Shut down and reconnect battery then restart. Check charging system function… Success! The protection modules did their job and the charging system remains functional. Control samples run w/o the protection circuit suffered RR failure about half the time. Anyway, if you are updating to a lithium battery and are worried that a BMS disconnect might smoke your regulator it looks like these gizmos can save it. It appears that they clamp the voltage to a safe level. And they also give off one helluva spark when making the initial connection. Both of those things suggest a sizable capacitor lives in there… Steve
