15 pointsI had to watch 3 of my grandsons the other day while my wife and daughter went to a funeral. They got kinda' antsy, so I figured "why not take them for a ride with ole' rusty". Went all around the property, up into the woods and back. They had a blast. So did I.

9 pointsI picked this up today thinking it may go to my grandson, but….then I saw it - it’s really nice and I’m keeping it! Sorry kid 🤪 The deck is like new…the paint is good, it’s very clean and don’t ever get me started on the seat

7 pointsThank all of you for the Birthday wishes! I reached the Required Minimum Distribution Age today! Ruth already had it spent before the check came! I had my customary steak, with the bonus of tater tots and caprese salad! Also today I got one of my oldest RJs out today and started it for the first time with the new Nova Ii electronic ignition module! After the first pull fired it up I can believe I haven’t changed from Points to one of these before!

6 pointsYep same tractor ... 1067 My first one and first resto. Was supposed to be a trailer queen and parked in my living room to look at. @Achto 's restos are a hell of alot nicer than mine and he has no qualms about sticking them in the dirt so who am I? Used to plow with it after resto till I set up a dedicated 1257 plow mule. Would like to find a rough molested 1267 to resto. Only model I would ever resto again.
-
5 pointsHappy Happy Lane ! Only guy I know who sacrifices trailer real estate for lounge chairs !

4 pointsThanks! Yeah, been pretty busy, and will continue to be for a while. Next up is priming and coating that metal roof with black silicone (not great for heat dissipation, but going for the resale value curb appeal...). Garage is already done and it looks great. After that, I have some wood floors to sand and refinish, then new kitchen countertops, sink, and some painting to do. Whew!

4 pointsWHX Are these the same tractor? If so the 2nd pick came out very nice. To nice to work in my book. You have to have one you pull out and have a cold beer an just look at it on a nice day like this and yours. Enjoy the ride.

3 pointsSpec # checks out as a ... they used the original shroud. Short block maybe? Just keeps gettin better... Found this under seat debris... regular freakin hardware store there... Now I gotta see if I can save the rusted tight needle nose... Whatthehellisthematta with a clown like me...
-
3 pointsCheck out the Spec. Number on the engine, could be a pump/generator engine with a tapered shaft that a PO put s kit on. Looking at the end of the crank shaft in your photo it looks that way to me.
-
3 pointsKevin and 702Bill I Learned a while back about old seats. If you clean them well I use Gorilla tape in the hot sun and keep pressing down on the spots that need fixing. In bad areas you can use a weight to hold it down. So far I have done few this way. It is the sun that does the work and good Quilty tape.

3 pointsI ran across an 856 I just couldn't leave behind also. It is now one of my most reliable machines.

3 pointsI did a few final tweaks on the B-80 Reborn. I had to replace the fuel filter due to a little leak. Then it was time for it's maiden voyage. I have no clue why but it took just shy of 7 hours to download this. It never occurred to me that I could have added a little chit-chat but I think I was just enjoying how well the K-181 sounded. I think it's pretty cool. 48 years ago I loaded this brand new B-80 up at Chandler Sales. It wasn't long before I 'converted' it to a C-160. 40+ years later it's back to being a B-80
-
2 pointsWell I finished this 1067 last week. She is a good worker now. went thru it front to back. I hope you enjoy the picks.

2 pointsVertical Ed Dog... I believe the tank is above and behind the dash. Was on the 244H I have anyway. Not sure f there is a even a pump might just be gravity fed??? Should be one tho. Does a shot of sniffin salts get her roaring? Did you happen to look in the files to see if there is a manual for this motor?
-
2 pointsYup... put a price on that.... That thar jus' might be a Calendar shot, fo' sure....

2 pointsOther than my wife and I, my whole family is on iPhones. I guess when they all have 6-figure incomes, the cost of the phone is not a problem. To that end, I have no problem communicating via voice, text, or email with them. I don't know why anyone needs to, or for that matter, wants to see my face when talking to me.
-
2 pointsHave yet to run that number but will do Richard. Would like to grind off them welds and check it out as the pulley could go in another 1/8. Not serious tho and if it ain't broke don't fix it I guess.

2 points::just let it soak in the recovery process :: I am with you on this Pete.

2 pointsInstall a marine primer bulb between the fuel tank and fuel pump. https://www.amazon.com/Attwood-93516LP7-Universal-High-Output-Certified/dp/B00546EOAM/ref=asc_df_B00546EOAM?tag=bingshoppinga-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=80333123589147&hvnetw=o&hvqmt=e&hvbmt=be&hvdev=c&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=&hvtargid=pla-4583932699771448&th=1

2 pointsThat looks like the stage of production where they should have put Never-Seize on the steering shaft and the roll pin that goes through it!! 😂
-
2 pointsBeen busy fixing some drainage issues around the low end of the house. Used a small excavator hoe last weekend. Using the GT-1848 and trailer, and muscle power, to get the dirt back where it belongs.
-
2 pointsI'm like you Mick. I have a house full of stuff that serve no purpose, I just like them. Kinda like why I have a garage full of Wheel Horses but live in the city and cut my grass with a push mower.
-
2 pointsDon I think you're absolutely right there. It is a piece of functional art, it's form dictated by it's function. But still beautiful in it's design. I have many objects that I have no use for, but they fascinate me, or impress my engineering mind, or just feel good to have around. I do wonder about what I will do with my collection as I approach the cold, cold grave. No young uns to pass things onto At all. Maybe I'll have to sell off a load of stuff pre death. Or I need to buy a big viking longboat and get buried with it.

2 pointsSeller mentioned that he has 150 in the seat. Thought is Wrencher after the EB check list is to put a eight inch plow on it and use it for a house tractor at plow day since I sold the no '73 name 8 I had set up. If that happens yah the seat will get swapped out for a beater. Either way it will probaly go on a resto or a more refined tractor. It will get a gentle power washing. The tunnel is filled with dirt and crap but after that just something for the to die for patina. Fer sure leave it rough Mike. Paint has never been messed with. I shoulda got a pic before we moved it. Grass and weeds growing up thru it and filled with grass clippings. Choke and throttle froze up solid so saving those is going to be work.

1 pointadded end chain mounting stops on my 6" channel aerator frames , allowing me to trap / secure weight chain , for spiker more depth penetration , still use heavy vacuum pump rotors , for slide on trapping to channel upper frame , one mounted , with lift handle is 100 lb , the other one on ground is 200 lb . like ball hitches , fot quick / easy swapping , grandson welded on the upper tray tabs to hold bigger chain . made up a bracket to bolt on older type W/H hitch , bolts right on original single hole mount point .very solid , smooth . made all those spikers from heavy flat steel , more than 30 years of use , still have spares , often refer to mounting my decks to a wall stud , over winter , with a cleaning and fresh oil soaking , just screw in a screw in an eyebolt , hook a heavy extension spring to it , easy to bend up a large S type hook from 1/4" or 5/16 round steel rod . the big end opening makes deck attachment quick / easy , been using NAPA , MACS CHAIN CABLE LUBE # 1370 , for all related lubrication , note oil slick on weight chain , stops rust , also every rotational movement point , note spikers , ball hitch areas . greasy pete

1 pointThis is not unlike owning artwork, right? One can appreciate things mechanical for their function, design/engineering, and craftsmanship. It can even invoke emotional responses where there is a connection with previous owners or users of the item or its role in a significant historical event.

1 pointFour iphones in the family. Work flawlessly with each other and with others who have androids... We switched because of all the update / setup nonsense on our home computer back in the day - went all apple computer and phones probably 10 years ago and have not had any issues... seemless connection ...
-
1 pointWe were at the beach last week. The rental house had all Roku tv's. I tried to cast pictures from my Android to the Roku. Would not let me. So my daughter got her Apple and connected AirPlay and instantaneously she was casting pictures. We were there for 8 days and I never got my Motorola to work. That is one of the things I hate about Apple. They buy their way into all platforms to become the exclusive way to connect.

1 pointRed-kote works very good or Kreem's kit works well on small gas tanks, preparation is the key, clean, rinse, clean rinse, air dry, had good results in the past.

1 pointThis was an ASA parade in Andersen, IN. Wheelhorse leading the pack! Notice the second car is a being pulled by one and the third appears to be towed by another GT. My wife’s grandfather is on the door of the Goodwrench car. Back in the parade, my FIL and wife riding on the trunk lid…. We aren’t sure who was sticking out the passenger window.
