9 pointsDash mounted and seat frame built. One seat back almost finished. Looks like a good battery location between the dash support and motor.

8 pointsMy neighbor added this 1925 Rickenbacker to his collection. Beautiful machine. https://www.bing.com/search?q=rickenbacker+car&qs=n&form=QBRE&sp=-1&ghc=1&lq=0&pq=rickenbacker+car&sc=11-16&sk=&cvid=FE3AAA8A2BC441B8ADAE4BE7528F5102&ghsh=0&ghacc=0&ghpl=

7 pointsWorked my 414-8 with a 42” RD hard today. Mowed the in-laws place in preparation of an upcoming house sale. Had to mow the back twice to get it knocked down and looking good. If ya blow up the pic you can just see my WH waaay out back. She got a well deserved Rotella oil change when we got home.

6 pointsI waste that much time looking for my cameras that was in my hand 10 minutes before.

6 pointsJust wasted a bit over 90 minutes looking for the clutch pedal for my C-160-8 renovation project. The latest in a series of searches for parts that went missing since I took her apart last fall. That's what happens when projects get drawn out. Finally found it ...it was in the oven and must have been there for a couple months. Had been in the electrolysis bath and then after rinsing got put in the oven to dry off.

5 pointsOurs is kind of "What did you do FOR your Wheelhorses today?" We spent a few hours putting a new tarp over the 13 x 20 portable garage. The front side is tied to the original Shelter Logic front strap. The back has 4 straps crossing diagonally and several lengths of paracord. There's a row of rocks down each side at the base. Hopefully this will hold for another 2 years or so.

5 pointsEddie Rickenbacker also owned The Indianapolis Motor Speedway until 1945. Indianapolis Motor Speedway On November 1, 1927, Rickenbacker purchased the Indianapolis Motor Speedway from Carl for $700,000. He considered his salary of $5,000 a year and the opportunities for public relations to be more valuable than the $700,000 in debt he incurred.[73] He also drove the speedway's pace car for several years.[59] He operated the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for more than ten years, overseeing many improvements to the facility.[74] He was responsible for the first radio broadcast of the Memorial Day 500 race.[59] After a final 500-mile race in 1941, he closed the Speedway to conserve gasoline , rubber, and other resources during World War II. [ In 1945, Rickenbacker sold the racetrack to the businessman Anton Hulman Jr. More about the Rickenbacker Motor Car Company: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rickenbacker_(car)

5 pointsThis was the first vehicle to have all wheel brakes. Studebaker hurt the sales by claiming the front brakes would cause the car to flip over forward. Two years later Studebaker added front brakes.

5 pointsHad my eye on these Father’s Day weekend. He still had them and I picked them up today. Shouldn’t need any tires for a while.
-
4 pointsEngine screen is on. Rear wheels have been drilled and mounted. The lug holes need to be expanded about 2 hair's width. The OE 7/16 holes are usually worn some. I refresh them to 1/2 for the wheel spacers. Some of the holes aren't even enlarged. This is definitely a Fat Bottom Girl. Just shy of 42" across the outside of the tires. Same as my other two running C160s.
-
4 pointsThe high price was another reason for the poor sales. No expense was spared to cut the quality. The head and tail light lenses even had the Rickenbacker circled top hat emblem cast in them.

3 pointsThat is the extremely hard to find Levitation Gravity Defying Magic Suspension Trailer option. They were only rated for 1,000 pounds so you are pushing the limit with that hay bale.

3 pointsLooks like you found the problem. Do you know what you are looking at?? It's hard to say, but it looks like the high/low gear is distroyed. I would imagine the high/low shift mechanism is toast also. To get a good handle on this, line up all gears and take some good pictures for us to look at. We can tell you what parts you need then. If you have 1 1/8" axles, take a picture of the end of the differential...it sounds like we are calling the transmission a #5091. The parts you might need will be cheaper the buying another transmission and having it shipped. A-Z may have the parts and maybe the shift mechanism. Check out this thread of the #5091.

3 pointsFolks like @AMC RULES and @stevebo and all you other Patina lovin' types would be proud o' me on this build. I've been concentrated pretty hard on getting NO new paint except the wheels. There's a fair amount of parts swapping for this Beast to use the best mechanical but still original of everything I have around. This afternoon I commenced to repair on a seat and fender pan. I took into account the overall color, patina, and how difficult it was gonna be to straighten whatever fender I used. This is one from another C160-8 Tecumseh Horse that'll be a candidate for a full restoration later on. I also borrowed a brake drum and shoe from the parts shelf. The shoe had some gunky grease so I laid out a whole can of brake clean and scraped off the shoe surface. Installed that, adjusted the park brake. The list is getting shorter!!

2 points@WheelHorse_Kid has been wanting to build a puller. Summer has been busy but even with my bum knee this past week we managed to get a puller built. From my dad machining parts for a hitch to my friend helping weld when I couldn’t and a weight bar that I designed that actually worked (I’m shocked). He pulled in the 900lb class first finishing his last full pull being 1600lbs of weight and battled to the end with a tricked out wheel horse but ending with second. In the 1000lb class he took third pulling 2000lbs as his last full pull. He had a belt slipping issue at 2050lbs that knocked him out but he took third. We took a shot and weighted up for the 1200lb class and I added another spring to give us more pull on the idler and tension on the belt. First hook he took off the line great but the engine problems we battled all day finally decided to rear their head right in the middle of his pull. He moved 2100lbs 6 feet this time before the engine problems. The C-105 was a beast still. Successful day and he’s hooked. Already talking about building it better. Now to drain the gas check for stuff in it and water and redo the full fuel system to see if we can get it running right again. not a bad day for never pulling anything other than stock class.

2 pointsHad a marathon night in the garage last night working til well past midnight and then up at 5:30 to continue working on Alex’s puller project. I was out of work all week with a knee injury and went stir crazy so getting out there last night felt great. Haven’t had a stretch like that in a long time. The smiles on his face made it well worth it. I made a post in pullers if anyone wants to see it.

2 pointsHello Hans, I'm from the Netherlands and sometimes complete tractors pop up on the Dutch marketplace. Might be interesting to have a parts tractor. There are currently several 212 tractors for sale. Don't know if those parts might be interchangeable?

2 pointsSome of you may remember my buddy Bill. I fixed his Bronco 14 a while ago. He bought this whole setup brand new in 1968 ! I love it when he talks about it because his face lights up with pride. Anyway, he lives in a small cottage on the water less than a mile away from me and has a newer box store Cub Cadet to mow his lawn with. The other day he called and said the Cub keeps throwing the belt off the mower deck. I really didn’t want to work on it right away especially when it’s close to 90 degrees outside. So I decided to run over there and just mow the grass for him. He is a super nice guy and I really enjoy helping him. He always tries to pay me for helping him, but I will never take a cent for it. I’m a firm believer in karma. After mowing I thought this might be a good time for a picture or two, since I’m at the beach! In the background we are looking north towards the North Fork of Long Island. Beyond that would be the Long Island Sound and then Connecticut. Here’s Bill a year and a half ago on his Bronco, and my 418-C, hope you enjoy!
