9 pointsHydraulic control valve cleaned up and new O rings installed. Hoses have been cleaned up with new O rings as well. That is where I am at right now. Engine has been cleaned up and had the decarbon, valves adjusted etc last year and it is ready to go back in when I am ready for it.

9 pointsThe wife's little custom. A Wheel Horse at heart built on a 312 frame.

8 pointsI have been trying to get my dad’s tractor ready to take to my son next week. Hope is that he will get the bug and redo it later. Swapped out a bunch of different parts that my dad put on it and tried to get it back to stock. Also put a deck on it and mowed a little. Little rough on the rear without a seat 😁.

7 pointsPulled the b80 out and did a bit of yrd work. 800 special is ready for grass duty after a long winters snooze in the shed.ole Briggs started right up

7 pointsSoooo…went into the woods for a cruise with the B-80 and figured I would snap a side shot for this thread (and apparently a few front end Friday shots as well). Unfortunately deep in the woods I had a front tire failure, as in IT FELL OFF! Of course I had no tools so had to walk back home for a couple tools and a rag. Luckily Mother Nature left a jack-stand close by. Quick repair and she drove back home without an issue. I do need to look for front spindles with the bolt rather than that little clip
-
7 pointsI know this isn’t the right color tractor for side shot Saturday but went early this morning and picked this up. One owner tractor very well taken care of. I know it’s not a horse but I have always wanted one of these big wheel tractors. Don’t hate me too bad guys I like them all unfortunately

6 pointsEngine plate and Matt's foot control pedal installed. That is all for now until I get more nice weather to clean up and paint more parts.
-
6 pointsFinally have the hardware and time to get the steering wheel on. 2 3/4” seems ideal so I cut 1/4” off that 3” bolt. Fits good. No play using that bolt, so job done!

5 pointsfirst of all again I want to thank the members here that were so kind with there wishes and understanding as my wife passing away back on the 8th day of December it has been really hard on me after 51 years together' she was the love of my life and she will always be; but in time we need to carry on and I know that she would want me to carry on with my hobby as the wheel horses' so I am back but for how long I really don't know' so my question is on a 10 horse Tecumseh motor what is the bolt pattern on the head bolts as one bolt is leaking out so I did buy a new head gasket but does it matter how the head bolts tighten down; again thanks to everyone who had a kind word

5 pointsRear axle cleaned up and painted Mid and front Tach's bolted to frame Frame bolted to rear axle and steering gear installed. Hydraulic supply and return lines connected to rear axle. Front axle installed using new pin.

5 pointsMy 86 Silverado. Have had it since I was 15. Here it is when I had to get it back out to daily drive it again. Living in a trailer park trying to get by 😂
-
4 pointsThis is sick! I think I would have put it in a Wheel Horse though… I may be biased.

4 points@Thegearhead0324 you buy that seat for $600 and I bet he’ll toss the rest in for free!
-
4 pointsClose Jim. Before investing time and dollars in a roller I test all the hydros by strapping the front of the tractor tight to a tree and make sure they will spin the tires hard dirt in forward and reverse. If tractor does not run, I park a tractor behind as you state and power the transmission with a long belt off the PTO. Oh and no need to twist the belt the pulleys are all always turning in the correct direction no matter if the engine is in the front or rear of the transmission...CCW looking at the pulleys.

3 pointsLet’s see some of you guys signs and memorabilia that you have. I have a few things first is this lighted sign that is what it was made to be. I did upgrade to brighter lights Second is a metal sign made to be screwed to the wall. I made a shadow box style enclosure for it and put lights behind it

3 pointsYes I use a carbide tile/glass bit and drill them out. Works excellent. A regular bit won’t touch them.
-
3 pointsThanks for the great idea @ineedanother ! I rounded up some can cozies to use as straw holders. @ebinmaine Now I, hopefully, won’t lose the straws for 2 of my new fave penetrating fluids!
-
3 pointsYou add tension by turning this trunion, closer to the PTO handle, a little bit at a time.
-
3 pointsMike, there could be a dedicated thread to your rides in the woods! Awesome!

3 pointsSolved my engine issue. I purchased a "good running" I/C engine from Ebay. Hooked it up to an IV bottle, ran some jumper cable to it and gave it a bench test run. Surprisingly the seller was correct, it is a GOOD running engine. Happy boy!!! I transferred the needed accessories from my old engine to the new/used engine and it is ready to put back into my Swisher. The one and only thing that will not work will be the pull start. The crank shaft on the new engine is not designed to accommodate a recoil pull start. No big deal as the electric start works well. I will still need to install the pull start as it serves as a belt guard for the upper pulley the drives the tractor. One project close to completion.

3 pointsAxle itself is perfect. Front tach hole is also very good. However, the bore in the frame was worn so I drilled that to 7/8" and pressed in a steel bushing. You can just see it in the picture with the frame upside down on the bench. All good now. This is a picture of the home made pin that was installed.
-
3 pointsFor sure, nice find! There was one for sale down the road from me just like yours with a hard cab & 2 stage blower. It took everything I had not to stop & look at it, Lol.

3 pointsI've 'rebuilt' (no bore or crank work, other than hone the cyl) some 12-15 Kohlers, from K241's to K532's using one of the MANY 'kits' on the bay. From just the basic rings/gaskets to the full kits having everything, and have had good luck with them. One order sent wrong rings, contacted them - think it was 'baktkids' - and they promptly sent replacements. I just find one that is reasonably priced, has a decent rating, and offers free ship, and yes, I'm well aware that they are imports - what isnt anymore? - but I figure they will last as long as I'll have the engine.
-
3 pointsYou can also look forward to an “in person” thank you for the help and parts on my 854!
-
3 pointsDone many rebuilds with these kits.

3 pointsAs you take it apart you might want to put bolts, nuts back into holes or pieces they came from.
-
3 pointsThat's amazing Such skill and thought to figure all that out and be capable of building it too.

3 pointsYou might use an @Ed Kennell trick. Put the rear of the C195 on Jack stands. Park another WH behind it. Run a belt from the 2nd tractors PTO to the transaxle input pulley of the C195 and twist that belt into a figure 8 so it turns the correct direction.

3 pointsHere are a couple of pics of the garage I’ve been working on. It’s 30x45 with 3 10x8 roll up doors and a side entrance door. I framed a bodywork and paint area to keep overspray and dust down. I poured the floor with help from my cousin and brother in law. We weren’t pros, so I coated the floor with a two part epoxy flake system to hide my mistakes. I’m really happy so far and am ready to start moving stuff in this weekend!
-
2 pointsI have some pretty good molybdenum bits and they drill them right through the roll pin but that doesn’t get the steering wheel off. Lol man they can be a real pain
-
2 pointsWell started working again gettin it tore down. I quit because I smashed my hand and saw i needed snap ring pliers. Found the brake pedal way loose on the band not really moving anything. How do you remove the pedal? Also hit a road block on removing the steering wheel how does that come off? Almost looks like a roll pin?

-
2 pointsWhat's the story on the Nelson muff EB? I just took one similar to that off a 1276 parts tractor that was given to Dan and I. I thought it was unique and had character. Managed to save it rusted on and all. No idea if the tink tinker is orginal? Outlet is threaded 1 1/4 NPT... can you say stack? Sure I knew you could... Insides might be rusted rotted tight tho . I'll go get some pics...
