Just want to say thank you for the replies first and foremost. What I am about to say is extremely embarrassing and if the moderators feel compelled to ban me or suspend me for a period of time I would completely agree. It had no gas! There I said it, my apologies to all, didn't mean to panic and run asking for help. I tend to do that when I don't know much about something. I am not the best with small engines, I know very basics but always eager to learn and learned much over the years to folks like yourselves on this forum. To my very small defense, rough busy day, lots of things going on and then got to building to those barn doors, they took a lot of out of me and were pretty heavy to move. Also was sick with Covid this past week so not 100% just yet. Swore I put gas in the WH just a week or so ago, but I think she drinks a lot more gas then my Craftsman did and I am learning that the hard way today. Again thanks for the quick replies and awesome info, I think I'll go lick my wounds! Thanks again to all!

Nothing special, just my 416-H with 60” deck, factory front mount weight and 5hp Peco vacuum. Approximately 400 original hrs.

Just mounted some weights. Their off a simplicity. About 25 lbs each, so total of around 100 lbs. Used 3/4 PVC as a spacer to have bolt tension prior to sliding the weights into place. Seemed to make the install easier and probably less damage to the paint on the rims.

Those plows look almost too nice to use fellas... Worked on a front end for the 701. What a pain given what i had off the carcass to work with. Roll pin holes wallowed out. Steering arms pin holes all wallowed out.... I shoulda looked for replacements but was up for the challenge. My success hinges on the results of high strength epoxy.

Not many know this but the Portuguese version of the bullfight is very different from the Spanish version . There is no slaughtering of the animal after intentionally weakening it by a barbaric deed. Still not the most humane thing but not so gruesome. The high point of it is depicted below. The outcome is not always favorable to the humans but the guy in front definitely has a pair. An '88 520H w/42"RD With the red neck axle bracket. Made from 4 pieces of angle and welded around the axle housing. Should be fun grinding it off.

@ebinmaine just FYI that pvc was from my son’s backyard ski ramp about 10 years ago… he and his buddies would skid along the top like a rail… pretty cool setup… can’t find a pic of his but it looked just like this:

Cut it on a table saw. Make a little jig with 90 degree angle that slides on mitre slot. use a strap to hold the pipe loosely on to the jig, and slowly rotate the pipe. Sorta like this, just picture a larger piece of PVC. This jig is for making box joints, but it would look very similar.

Like many vaccines it reduces the chances. Prevention is not 100%. From the interwebs: "It does not guarantee you will not get shingles, but it will reduce your chances. If you do get shingles, the vaccine is likely to make the symptoms milder and the illness shorter."

Finally got the Engine back into the 1057 today !!!! Got wiring to do and clean up the fuel tank, get a voltage regulator , battery and hopefully we will have a runner

This Bronco 14 was listed on MP, about a 75 mile round trip, all for $100. The owner was cleaning his place up and wanted it gone and I seen it at the right time. It does have some PO mods and it is pretty greasy around the lift and engine. I haven't heard it run,but the owner says it runs good,we will see. I will work on it tomorrow and see. The horsey hub caps are crusty and it has a replacement engine. The Cub Cadet seat is adjustable!!

Here's one for the books. When I was a kid, my father bought a new Montgomery Ward riding lawn mower. After a couple of weeks, he asked me to change the oil, saying that the first oil is only break-in oil, and for long life we needed to put in a good 30 weight. So I drained the oil, put the drain plug back in, started the engine and drove it up to garage to get oil. What was I thinking? I never told anyone, and that mower lasted at least until I got out of high school. I went into the military after school, and don't recall when he got rid of it, but it never had any engine problems.

Got some thick HDPE plastic, bolted in place with the original wear strip on mine.

Gearing up for my last ride of the season…gonna be a chilly one! Full tank of ethanol free (thanks Eric @ebinmaine ) Regular fuel all summer but the last ride gets e-free since it’s winter storage after today.

AWESOME. I'll send a PM... Excellent idea! That would work to hold the wheels together for flat ground. Steve has some elevation. My ground is ROUGH. The PVC holding the wheels to each other makes all the difference.

78375 is the mower deck model number. It tells me you have an Xi series tractor but it doesn’t help with the tractor model. Your model/serial tag should be under the left side of the seat. Other than a loader, what are you looking for? Be advised, the loader kind of takes up the whole tractor once it’s on.

If the rims are just held together with long bolts and the PVC, then why not just sleeve the bolts with steel pipe nipples. similar to this

As soon as the trailer shows up… we’ll be sticking some camp chairs on the trailer for some camp rides

I keep expecting the next picture to feature a small trailer with 10 clowns popping out of it!

Don't feel bad. We have all done that.

Used the trailer with fresh wheels (installed this morning) to help with the garden clean up.

Had a great time today, weather was perfect and the mid-ride tie rod patch job held! Thanks again for another great event @stevebo

Got 2 more walls upright on Grady’s wife’s “she shed”… Progress is extremely slow due to having to break out the calculus and the slide rule, because the floor is way out of square and way out of level… By the time we get to the top plates on the walls it will be level and square before we attempt the roof rafters. It doesn’t look like it but those studs are 24” on center… except for the space where the entry door will be framed in…

Thanks @peter lena... I appreciate the pep talk. There is a bit of slop in the drive levers. I haven't quite decided what I want to do about that. When I move them together to start moving, they touch each other... it's a little annoying, honestly... In other news... you know... Pete I started growing a beard a couple of months ago... just to top off the goatee... and I use Lucas grease to keep it all slicked back and under control.... Don

@ebinmaine @OldWorkHorse not knowing your urgency… @SylvanLakeWH included a real good length of 12” pvc with the WHRat. I have plenty.
