8 pointsHaving a shop with only 400 Square feet of space and low ceiling presents many challenges when doing sometimes even a relatively small project. Of that area there is very little available floor space, and even the ceiling area is pretty much taken with storage areas. Unfortunately small projects here don't happen very often. Organization, planning, and cleanness are an absolute must if things are to done without a trip to the insane asylum. With most projects big or small, sheet goods are the essential and indispensable materials to deal with and the most difficult to manage. Many of them are extremely expensive and must be handled with the utmost care so damage will not occur. Some are even prefinished such as the specialty plywood I use for cabinet interiors (Garnica) and drawer construction (Baltic birch). Many times these sheets of material are also 10 and 12 feet in length so there is usage efficiency with very little or no waste. Not only one needs to be careful handling them in shop but very important in transporting them. There is absolutely no way I can bring something like that in the shop and maneuver it onto the table saw. I am also a one man operation and there would not be room for two of us anyway. So to overcome all of those difficulties to start with my van is modified with a platform which also acts as a large tool box. That platform is made to safely transport sheet material. It also has a easily removable "second floor" to it if needed so as to carry unusual sheets such as 1/4" sheets or plastic laminate. The platform is at the table saw height. I merely backup van to out feed table and slide sheet already onto table saw. I never have to lift a whole sheet. After drawings for a project are completed a cutting sheet or "stock bill" is made for every single piece of material to be used having all dimensions of it and whatever machining is necessary on it. Every piece will have a number and it will be marked as such when cut. Only cut pieces make it onto shop floor, never a whole sheet. Sometimes pieces are cut slightly oversize so as to afterwards make a more precise cut such as in the case of expensive veneers that will have to be matched and have a flawless cut edge. Sequence of events such as additional machining, preparation, and assembly are also carefully planned and adhered to. Platform in van at table saw height,in this case transporting doors. Plywood sheet ( prefinished in this case) directly from van onto saw for cutting Each sheet cut as soon as it is moved onto saw Each component is numbered Each sheet layed to scale out for maximum yield Cutting list for each sheet used and each piece marked. After ripping much cross cutting to be done Much other machining to do also Drawer material ready for machining. Drawers have an insane amount of precision work Either offset tongues. Or dovetailed or finger jointed Its a long process to this point Eventually the whole place will look like this ready to leave so next phase of same project can begin.

6 pointsI believe that the e-clips are holding a solid shaft that slide through a tube. If this is the case, there is a good chance that the shaft is brown welded (rusted) inside of the tube. Might need to apply some heat to the tube and a big hammer to the end of the shaft. Careful not to peen the end of the shaft or it will not push through,

5 pointsNot to far off there EB ... now I know you know how handy it is to lock the bar of a chainsaw in a vise for hand filing. Now If you had one out in the woods??!? Better than doing it on the tailgate or a stump.... Just sayin .... Problem is I have this real problem about drilling holes in my tractors. When I have had to do it I say a prayer to the gods and tell them Dan made me do it and hopefully there wrath comes down on him. BTW I have been known to collect the drill chips of 50 year old sheet metal off a horse and put them in a place of honor right along aside @19richie66 s nubbies. ....

4 points@wallfish refering to @Ed Kennell am I out there ? bearing reply to your bearing ,https://www.ebay.com/itm/174605992319?_trkparms=amclksrc%3DITM%26aid%3D1110006%26algo%3DHOMESPLICE.SIM%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20200818143230%26 , notice the difference ? same size sprocket , details , but much bigger bearing WITH WIDE SHIELDS , FOR EASY , CLEAN OUT AND REGREASE , with lucas x tra duty , simply add a 5/8 x 3/8 bronze bushing , and its an exact size replacement , thats how I easily look at any bearing replacement , why not up grade that problem while you are there ? never worry about the w/h police , make a problem go away , and make it bombproof . this bushing insert will make you look at a chronic bearing issue , as a simple fix . wide side shields and bronze insert , very easy , quiet , solid bearings, pete

4 pointsWhen working on automobiles keep your face away. Truck on a lift. I'm tightening a ball joint nut which is a little above shoulder height. wrench slipped and I punched my self in the mouth. Working on a Toilet Ford Escort on jack stands. Installing a rear brake spring so my head is above the shoes. Brake spring pliers broke and I hit my self in the cheek and still have the scars. all my friends though I got into a fight.

4 pointsHow much isn't the issue in my mind, but rather how hard it drops onto the hitch. I've seen two busted cases because someone dropped a heavy hitch onto the drawbar. If you're gonna carry significant weight back there, I'd weld a larger "foot" onto the part that wedges against the underside of the case to spread out the load. Just my unwarranted opinion ...
