Figured I would post this as I have not seen one with an oem rollbar before. Picked this up and will be keeping the rollbar, weight box and seat. I am selling the machine and loader to a buddy. This is a 522xi.

Had to sneak across state lines to acquire this one. Going to take the backroads to avoid the game warden.

It seems that everybody is quick to complain about poor service, products, etc. I'll do that but I'm also quick to pass on the good stuff too. Living out in the sticks as we do you'd think we'd have kick butt outdoor power equipment. That's true when it comes to the tractors but most everything else is electric. Corded and cordless. We chainsaws, extended reach chainsaws, weed wackers, leaf blowers and more in both versions. We just don't use them enough for me to justify gas versions and the maintenance that comes with them. I finally broke down and bought an 18" gas chainsaw mainly to clear the paths of large trees that seem to only fall where they block things. A couple months ago we saw a Craftsman V20 weed wacker and leafblower combo for a great price. It was pretty much their bottom line but for our purposes we figured to would be handy. The weed wacker is actually pretty nice and handy for some light duty wacking. The blower simply doesn't have enough power to move much more than dust. I set it aside figuring at least we like the weed wacker and forgot about it. Then I got an email asking me to post a review. OK. I wrote an honest review and I concluded by saying I could only give it 2 stars because of the weak blower. A couple days later they responded saying to contact this email to discuss the situation. After several emails with a nice lady I was told they were sending a replacement. Four days later UPS dropped this off. Not only a replacement but three additional units!! I appreciated the customer service but had to laugh at the confusion, disorganization or whatever on their end. As you can see I opened one of them but I'll wait for an answer to my email as to what they want me to do with the three extras.

Howdy all . Well after posting last week about the second WH I picked up from my scrap guy friend , I am happy to report that I had a little time today to go though this Gem Automatic 16 . went through the fuel system all looked very clean then checked and set the governor , I lubed the cables to get the choke and throttle to operate nice and smooth , I pulled the spark plug witch did not look to bad cleaned it up , then check all the wiring to see if anything was frayed or broken , at that point I decided to see if she had spark, got a battery in and turned the key , starter spun but no engagement ,I could see the bendix drive was not throwing out all the way ,so pulled the starter took the bendix drive a part and the old grease was caked up solid ,so cleaned it new grease and reinstalled the starter. turned the key had perfect starter engagement , and sure enough had really nice spark ,so I made up a make shift fuel tank and let her rip ,it was like somebody just finished cutting grass with this Gem it fired right up. I could not believe how nice this engine ran, let her warm up adjusted the low speed idle and adjusted the throttle cable both were way out of adjustment , I also confirmed the electric PTO worked , Tomorrow I will pull the cover go through the drive belt operation , I can feel there is way more play in that belt compared to my C120 , so I will get it on the jack so I can confirm the transmission operation and hydraulics hopefully work, if all goes well I will give this Gem a test drive .

Everybody meet Allie, our newest addition to the family. Tasha seems to think that she has a lot of Australian Shepherd in her, but we really don't know what she is for sure. What we do know is that she is still a puppy, she's albino, we are pretty sure she has limited to no vision in one eye, and I'm 99% sure she is deaf. Someone dropped her off out at a friend of ours farm last week, he was going to take her to town to the pound Monday morning if someone didn't take her first. The last thing we needed around here was another dog, but we also knew that if he took her to the pound, it was sure to be a certain death sentence for her with all the problems she has. She is the sweetest most loving little puppy I've ever seen, I just couldn't stand the thought of that happening to her so we brought her home. She was supposed to be Tasha's dog, but it didn't take long for her to become permanently attached to me, she most generally is never more than 2-3 feet from wherever I am. It's been an adjustment and a bit of a challenge trying to figure out what works and what doesn't training a dog that's half blind and deaf, but we love her and wouldn't trade her for anything.

Once again, here is a pic of my Lawn Boy Loafer, circa 1962. If you look closely at the pic, you will see the deck has brackets for attaching a handle, so you can push it, just like a conventional mower. Here is a pic of just the deck. No motor, no blade, no wheels or hardware, no handle, just the bare deck. This deck is aluminum. It measures ~ 30 X 30 X 6 high, and normally has a 24" blade. and weighs 28 lbs. bare. Many of my Lawn Boys don't weigh that much complete. How would you like to push this around your 1960ish suburbia 1/2 acre lot.

The inside of the rims are painted. I'm letting them sit a few days before I mount the tires. I also got all the new light socket pigtails installed and tested the headlights, tail light, and the gen warning light.

He’s doing pretty alright. We raised his water and food, have re-wrapped him once and we put a plastic bag on his foot so he can go to the great outdoors during sunlight hours. His little brother is being quite nice as well. They haven’t fought or wrastled in quite a while.

Took the 1075 out of the garage today. It's been sitting blocked in in the back for some time now. Big Block, Short Frame, Tall Stack, Baby Moons, Custom Decals, Wheel Horse !!

Nice, I need one. Just in time for Christmas Bob. Hint... Hint.

I love it @Ed Kennell and @peter lena Around here when I bake with my grandchildren (old family recipes, of course) we alway follow with a "Quality Control" session where any misshapen or other "rejects" (a term VERY loosely interpreted) get taken care of over a nice cup of tea!

Yes it is, had a little nitromethane from another project left over so i put it in the horse and dialed up the fuel...cleared out the muffler and years of carbon, only had enough for a few minutes but she made a hell of a flame show on deceleration.

Excellent. Glad to hear that machine is getting better care. Just for future reference the starter Bendix should NOT have any type of wet lube such as grease or oil. They are lubed with dry graphite powder.

The 12 volt heavy feed from the switch should go to the A terminal same one the small wire that comes from under the regulator goes to. (two wires on the genny A terminal one on the F) The small wire from the last terminal on the regulator goes to F on the genny. Yours is correct.

Are those 2 stroke engines?? If so, having 2 engines - is it a poor man's 4 stroke or dueling 2 strokes ??

Fun project!! Keep us up to date. A little fact on the 1468 and 1568, They had cylinder cut out way back then. The tractor would drop down to 4 cylinders when power was not required. Some people believe that 1568 was bigger than the 1468, truth was that they were the same size & horse power. Difference was that the 1568 was a tillage only tractor, it did not come with a PTO. Same difference applies to their 6 cylinder counter part's the 1466 and 1566.

A decade ago I witnessed what would be a two man baseball game with a cameo apperance of a 100mph fastball pitcher. Most people attend a professional game as a social event but I imagine being part of the game. But with my team losing from the get go I figured the trivial socializing could be more memorable than this game. With one eye on the game I didn't miss a play, just the impact they contributed to the game. I knew Vinny had a homer or two so my good sense rewarded me seeing him smash another long ball. When you're hot you're hot and at the crack of the bat Brian Giles ran to the wall only to run out of real estate. His timing was perfect as he leaped and robbed Vinny in the 4th inning. All eyes are now on Vinny and later he makes good his 3rd homer of the game. At the top of the ninth he has a chance for a record 4 but strikes out. It' 8-2 and the Pirate's last at bats produce a ralley for a couple runs but also a couple outs. Houston calls their ace reliever Billy Wagner to end the game but Jason Kendall who is not shy to take a hit by pitch is now the tying run. Giles is next and Wagner intends to strike him out as he did in their only other face off. But Giles is waiting for his fast ball and the first pitch is good for a Brian Giles game winning Grand Slam. ( If I'm not the last to learn how to enlarge, right click image and copy in new tab, then enlarge ) When I was searching for the appropriate cards, the last stood out because it was the newspaper photo which in turn became a baseball card. Who knew...not me

Why do a few have so many, when many have so few?

I bought the 12 Pc Set of these a few months back.12 pc Retaining Ring Pliers Set (Green) | SRPC112G | Snap-on Store (snapon.com) Close to $500 after tax. I do have ONE regret after buying them...waiting too long and fighting with the cheap Chinese junk set I've had forever before upgrading to the SnapOn set. I absolutely love them, money well spent in my opinion, but I do use them almost daily. For occasional use I'm sure there are lesser priced pliers out there that would work well.

While cow and horse manure is good it can contain lots of weed seed. Aged- composted manure will have sterilized some of these seeds. If you can harvest a lot of natural compost from forest floor areas that is your goldmine. It’s even better than manure for building up your soil (but I will say chicken or rabbit manure is great ) After you have the executor level the site I suggest a thick layer of forest floor compost, then foot topsoil and more forest compost tilled in. As mentioned above Ph is very important so learn what Ph the plants you grow like. Also mentioned above your University of Maine Cooperative Extension county office and website is a wealth of information. (Yes there are tons of YouTube videos with lots of opinions and mid-information) But you Extension service has tested proven information I just completed a 6 month- weekly Master Gardners class put on by our Texas Extension Service. I’ve been gardening for years but learned a lot.

Sure enough tilted the engine to the side and there were the blind threaded holes, on the pto side, to mount it to the frame. No ‘J’ bolts necessary. Thanks to one and all. It’s on the tractor now just need to finish connecting up the cables and fuel line.

The model you need has a longer shaft up higher through the large holes in the frame. These often go for cheap because there is not much demand for them. The chute and auger will fit the model you need so a good way to update an older model if the price is right.

I have a friend who lives south of town a few miles. He has a 1965 Ford Galaxie 500. Bucket seats, console, auto on the floor with a 390. The works. He also has a '50ish GMC 1 ton truck. A 1970 Corvette.(his dad bought him while he was in high school) 1928 Pierce Arrow. (his dad bought 100 years ago when the local Dr. passed). Among other cars and trucks and tractors his dad bought over the years. All of these are sitting in a barn, on a dirt floor, rotting away. His dad always took the wheels and tires off, stored them in separate sheds, so no one would steal them. His dad was a very successful farmer and seed dealer, but a bit eccentric. Year around he wore bib overalls, and rubber boots. Or he was barefoot. Hie dad would never sell anything, and nor will Jim. None of Jims kids stayed on the farm, so maybe when the time comes, these things will be sold off. By then, there may not be anything left to sell. He has one large barn FULL of steel wheeled tractors. Thankfully, these are not sitting shoeless on the ground. Jim now collects John Deere tractors, and Chevy trucks. He built a very large shed with a concrete floor for these.

Wew...frustrated over sore back and spending mony on wire wheels that cost us 20 plus dollars. Heres a update on a process I did in small ways in the past and was so impressed by the end result I just had to share. Its an electrolisis setup that will eliminate oll that arm power we put into removing rust but with far less base material being removed.....neever mind the costs of all the **** we need to buy that far still way over priced....55 gal plastic drum, 4 36 inch rebar, 1 box of 20 mule team soda, a few feet of copper wire and voala you have the bar nun best rust remover ever that does its job while your using yer arm power on other ****. Dam what a god send and its non toxic too. Ill be finished building it by noon tomorrow.
