First pic shows a trailer my Father and I built to use behind his Porter Cable MK 26. (My nephews and nieces are in the trailer and "driving" (circa 1965) Second picture is my niece on Father's brand new L-107 (May 1967) Last two are same girl today on the same L-107. Note the trailer has new wheels/axle setup but, body is the same, just some paint. It is my chore tractor and used year round.. Trailer was made of T-111 left over from the construction of the porch in the background of first picture.

Last day, heading home tomorrow. Great week with the famiy at the beach house. Four different families during the week. Big crowds on the beach. The hard shells were plentiful this year.

Working out in the driveway and I see this overhead. I know I'm old but co'mon fellas!!!

Just thought it would be nice to have a thread on pictures of our home towns doesn’t have to have tractors in it but that would be a bonus! I recently purchased a new truck and decided to take my Work Horse to the beach. So many of us are proud of where we live, so post em up. God bless America!

I've got about a gajillion pics. I think a moose in the wild really displays what Maine is all about for me.

So I picked up a new project today. I know almost nothing about this tractor, except that it is small, and red. Most of the ID tags are painted over, faded, damaged, or otherwise illegible. I have figured out it is a Speedex S-17, with optional electric start, and apparently a 2-speed transmission, and a plow. My boy likes tractors, likes to play with tractors, and has been asking me to teach him to paint, and he wants to drop a blade with me when the snow hits. He also is a few years yet from really growing into the 800 Special that he has claimed as his own, so when I saw this sitting along the road for $100, I figured I couldn't go too wrong. It's a mess now, but we are going to restore it together.

First trip was a success. We went to a small lake about 25 miles from home, spent Friday and Saturday night out there. Did some fishing, but not much luck, which I knew would be the case, this particular lake you really need a boat if you want to catch many fish. But we still had a good time with no major mishaps

SWMBO wanted her rockeries altered to make weeding easier. The first one was done a couple of weeks ago. Just took an afternoon. Including some tempery fencing to keep the new pup off. Before. Now. The second one was started yesterday afternoon and finished this afternoon. Took a lot more doing, as when first built it was filled up with a lot of big rocks and sandstone. Took a full load away with the Sears GT16 and Saxon trailer. Before. After. Need to make that pup proof before any more done. She likes to stand on the tyre and look over the fence or lie on top of it. After she'd dug the plants in it out.

Got this tractor had no decals and the front wheel horse wasn’t painted. Decals from redo your horse. Nice Quality. The thumb screws for the hood had bolts but we were able to get some reproduction thumb screws later on eBay and I have since been put on

This was a $25 tag sale score last year…and it’s become my go to for all my outside cleaning chores. Only 1600psi, but it’s a whole lot easier to not blast off decals and such than it is with my gas powered unit. Just cleaned up this 42SD to prep it for storage.

Tested out my homemade mulcher deck for my aunt's 312 and it was a succes! Clippings are greatly reduced.

Horsepower isn't critical when tilling. I ran a tiller on a B-80 for a while then switched to a 16hp. The only difference I noticed was fuel consumption.

Quite a productive day. We took the 5 x 8 utility trailer loaded with all manner of recycling, refuse, metal, and a fair pile of broken shingles (from the roof installation last April and May) to the transfer station. On the way back we stopped and picked up a few tools and some pegboard along with a trailer load of firewood from the widow downstreet we've been helping out. Got back and unloaded that. The BBT and her constant energy kept going and her mom came over to help. They moved a dozen or so 5 to 6 cubic foot loads of gravel from the 14 yard pile in the front down to the back of the house. We're filling in some of the holes and rough spots so we'll able to use that area for walking around and drive the tractors on it. I'll get video of that project sometime. It's part of the clearing project we've been working on for a good 2 years now. Ater all that we took about 3-1/2 hours to do a fairly decent detail cleaning on the Kia. I've been mulling over trading it in. We'll see what a couple dealers are willing to offer and go from there. Now it's time to set a spell and enjoy a nice adult beverage.

Ended up at 935.3 miles before making a fuel stop! Now I need to train my body and my pit crew to hold it for 900 miles and we’ll be truckers…

Funny you mentioned drones. The Noisy Pool Family got their son a drone for Christmas about 5 yrs. ago. First flight it got stuck in a tree. I got it down with my tree pruner pole. 2nd flight it got stuck again. This time a ladder and the pole. 3rd flight it got stuck a lot higher. Kid spent a week throwing a football at it and gave up. They got it down a couple of years later when the tree cane down!

Yup, wet sand it. I’ve done two like that, with white patches on the hood. I’m not so scared to have white blotches on the hood, just wet sand it!

Starting to run on just one tank. I’m wondering how many more 100’s I can rack up on the trip! Be in Michigan soon!

First post here. Had to join just to give a big thank you to everyone on this forum that answers questions so well. Bought a 1993 314-h with all the attachments. Was running smoothly for 6 months, then started draining the battery. Eventually I started disconnecting the neg terminal when I put it away. Then it wouldn't start. Smoke coming from the wires ... Turn the key... nothing. I started researching and found this site. WOW! Tons of info, ideas and diagrams. Long story short, the ignition switch had rusted/shorted and melted a pin off. The starter solenoid was bad, fuel filter was clogged and the fuse connectors were corroded horribly. I got new parts based on wire diagrams and the manual I got from here, replaced it all by following advice from here, and adjusted the carb from instructions on here. It runs smoothly now, and all credit to the people on this forum! THANK YOU!

I recently bought a bunch of metal at an estate sale but my metal rack did not have enough tubes to organize it so I added some tubes and some uprights at the bottom for small sheet goods. Metal loaded onto rack.

Not today, but in the morning. "East bound and down, loaded up and truckin' " Antique tractor and equipment show about an hour east of me tomorrow morning. First show I have ever been to out of town.

Someone made a comment on one of my threads and it made me realize I never quite introduced myself on here. So my name is Ben I also go by BDM garage on YouTube and Ben’s vintage tractors everywhere else. If your in new England chances are you have seen some of my posts on marketplace and or Craigslist as I buy and sell wheel horse and other vintage garden tractors and parts and pieces. I’ve currently got about 55 tractors 20 of which are my personal collection and the rest are inventory. I’m a huge fan of repower and custom machines but I also love a good all original machine too. I’m big into pulling tractors and off-road racing tractors. I’ll attach a few pictures of some of my favorite machines I own.

The only time that's happened to me, the float height was high and the bump caused the carb to flood over a little and the engine ran rich enough for a second or two to cough or sputter. I'd also check to make sure the kill wire coming from the coil isn't chafed on something and grounding out momentarily when you hit a bump. This could also happen if a safety switch/interlock wire or switch was loose, chafed, or otherwise opening/closing when you hit that bump.

I have never found HP to be a factor in tilling... Consider very old TroyBilt tillers had 2 or 3 hp engines. Even my 1970 Troybilt Horse is only 6hp....

None of us were born knowing anything, we have all learned from others. Unlike the majority of the population you are smart enough to ask first rather than throwing money away and ending up with poor results. @prondzy did an excellent thread on engine rebuilding, enjoy.

Been doing a lot of litter picking lately, keeping the area tidy. I broke a pair of litter tongs so decided to have a bash at making one. Its turned into a bit of an epic build to be honest. The next step will be hydraulic power lol.

I removed the gas tank from the engine and used the one supplied with the tractor. Removed the air cleaner and replaced it with a smaller set up. Also removed the muffler and made my own pipe. All of this was done to avoid cutting any sheet metal on the tractor. The bolt pattern to mount the predator to the frame should be a direct fit. Other alteration may be the belt guard, the belt guard will be needed in to stop the belt while the clutch is pushed in. A pic of my Suburban 400 "Rat Rod" with a Predator engine.
