Any body heve any ? Should be 3-4 weeks here. The early corn that was planted under plastic is in tassel. He plants a pair of rows with a soaker water/fertilizer line in each pair. Then leaves a space between the pairs wide enough for a horse dragging a produce box used when picking. A couple acres are planted each week so he has corn ripening all summer. Every 40' he leaves a space wide enough for a two horse team pulling the sprayer. Mowed the wide sprayer spaces today.

Out for bike ride tonight with the Mrs. Had to stop and pick this one up… No identified markings but it is old… any guesses? Neighbor said he got it from an antique store about 10 years ago for his kids… Even the right color!!!

Stuff like that can be had for free. They're called 'shopping carts'. They're laying around in nearly every big store parking lot. I load one in my truck every time I go. A couple minutes with a hacksaw and a few scraps of plywood and you've got a dandy rolling tool cart. AND the metal grill stuff that you cut off them is good for cookin' burgers on! (don't try it with the plastic ones!)

We'll figure it out at the show. It will depend on how nice Jim is to me!

Just finished annual maintenance. Air filters, spark plugs, engine and transmission oil, grease, and polish (belts are only two years old). They get about 30 hours a year now. Hoping to pass them down to the next generation in a few years for them to care for.

I buy these sets all the time just for the 10mm sockets!

Find a piece of pipe that just fits inside the mast and sink it into the concrete enough to slide the pole over it and fasten it with a thru bolt. If you have to take it down for any reason you can.

I picked one of these up couple years back for like 130 had no use for it but price was right fig I'd pay that much for a roller cart and it came with free tools. my other half don't allow me to go to home depot or lowes or any other store I might get lost in b4 the bills are paid hahaha

A lot of professionally installed flagpoles are mounted between two implanted posts. Two bolts through the posts and pole secure the pole permitting one bolt to be used as a hinge when raising or lowering the pole before putting in the second bolt fo fix it in place.

This morning I sorted the drivers door check strap which had somehow become detached. Two new nuts and away we go. Now its not jamming the powered window any more. Oiled all the door locks, hinges, seat mountings etc. Gave the dash a good clean and then polish with Maguires back to black. Looks like a new car. Not sure if the air con is working so will ponder on that one.

That is a very nice sidewalk cruiser you have there. I have a few of my own. Getting this one ready to take to a car show to see if I can sell it. The engine is a cooler, holds a 12 pack of your favorite canned beverage. Lift the valve covers to access them. Kids have out grown it I used to pull them around in it at local car shows. If I sold it it would make room for another Wheel Horse !

I'd have to imagine that thing probably weighs two or three times what an old turbo 350 does. Back about 25 or 30 years ago I had a 79 Camaro that I bought knowing it needed a transmission. I got several used ones from the same salvage yard. Took me four installations to get a good one. The guy was really great about it and gave me a new seal kit and fluid for all four. By the time we got to the third and fourth one we were just bench pressing it into place instead of bothering to use a jack. Of course I might have been slightly younger and maybe a little stronger back then....

Great tractor that 310. This was dropped off at my house, I interrupted it on the way to the dump, I just couldn't let that happen. Doesn't smoke or burn oil. Some before and after a clean-up and refurb pictures.

I wouldn't recommend it. My C-105 and 310-8 both do okay with a 42" side discharge, but just okay, they both struggle with tall thick grass. If you look back at any of the dealer brochures from that era, Wheel Horse didn't recommend a 48" deck on anything smaller than 12 horsepower.

I would think that's pushing the limit. Maybe if kept short...

I like Tuul's idea of finding a pipe that fit inside mast. But I would add 4 pieces of angle iron that would allow the pole to be tipped over and raised easily.. Pardon my hi-tec cad system

Jeremy: Me thinks that Squonk has has accurately located your problem - and it IS a problem. If left as is, the exhaust valve will not always close and it will not be able to transfer its heat to the valve seat, resulting in a burnt valve. Two items come to mind - chuck up the loose valve in a drill and spin it to check to see if it bent. Also, new valve stems are usually too long to allow grinding to fit to achieve your correct valve clearance to the tappet. Check your clearances for both valves. My first instinct was a possible piston slap condition - most machine shops will NOT bore a block oversize without having the new piston on hand to verify its skirt size. Its not so much as the bore diameter but that the bore is round and provides the proper skirt clearance. Bill

Our local sweet corn guy planted his fields in alfalfa. Most have been cut already. Must be more money in that crop. That plot planting spacing reminds me of when I was a kid. My dad planted his gardens in 10x10 squares. We would start with 6 or so and keep adding. I can remember him telling my mom in the morning before he left for work saying "tell the boy spade up a 10x10 today." And it had to be a certain way, two inch wide shovel slivers, turned over 100%. No raking or sod busting, he did that. Always had vegetables till the frost.

I didn't put a full plate on mine but I could draw one up if no one can come up with one. I'll have to check a few dimations to add to the one I have. I used two 1/4" x 1 1/2" top and bottom as my transmission plate was not broken. I'll have to take a picture of the drawing and post it here I have around 95% of what's needed on my drawing for a full plate. Here is a picture of my tractor.

We had a body builder dude in the shop. I remember seeing him catch 700R4 with a transfer case attached after it fell off the trans jack.

Have you seen the carts Target has? Yes they are plastic but they are pretty slick! Cup holders and all kinds of goodies. My son lives near a Target and a cart showed up in his yard. I volunteered to bring it back to the store and when I saw how fancy it was I wanted to take it home and give it to my wife for a garden cart. all it needed was a UPS and USB port!

And I agree with that ---- but, oddly enough one of my early buys when getting the Horse bite was a 1054 out back in the weeds (which of course had the 10hp) was from an elderly gentleman who had bought it new --- with a 48" deck! I got her all slicked up and running good and used the deck .... briefly, and pretty quickly felt it was struggling a bit. I didnt need another tractor and ran a quick CL ad and a fella with lake front property with a pretty steep climb from lake to house and he was using a -- unknown -- with turf tires and they just wasnt getting it. I had added new ags to the horse and that convinced him. Have often wondered how that worked out. I seldom regret selling one, but I kinda wish I'd have hung on to that one

Busy day up at the farm. Repairing cubicle barriers. Hanging gates and assembling a new water trough. Finally collected the Santa Fe from the garage where it has been for M.O.T. and full service. Wallet took a bit of a hit, but not as hard as a main stealer would have done.

A great find for sure. Perhaps you could drag a manual reel mower or 3 behind that and use it as a mower???

Exhaust Valve sticking. When it sticks and releases you will get a click like a tappet adjustment. Doesn't stick all the time so that will account for the oscillation. It would also account for the unburnt fuel. Were the guides and stems checked?

Solid steel they weigh 20lbs each.

Does it carry the bike well?

Been looking for a nice sailing mast to convert to a flag pole for about a year… finally got one off CL for decent price delivered. Good shape. 23’ tall. Going to go with about 16’ tall (from grade) so I can handle it myself… Looking for advice on how to anchor it. I’m thinking about 3-4’ deep hole, 18” wide, filled with concrete… Sleeve will be an issue since it’s not round… should I just permanently sink it in concrete or any good ideas for a sleeve? Maybe pvc and sand / wedges? Ideas / methods of getting it plumb straight are welcome. Any thoughts appreciated…

Chakka! The first Corona rules are falling and we get step by step the freedom back. But this year‘s Big show was definitely impossible sadly. So i do my Honeydo work and after it begins to rain i switched over to the Backhoe. Finalized the Swing mount and Painted it. including the Cylindre. While i wait that the cylindre cures, i see the Powersteering pump from the old white Astra. This pump delivers 90Bar pressure, that should work and i decided to give it a Try. I love the old Astra technic, because not too much Electronics a simple straight forward Car. Plus minus and two switched plus wires and the Pump starts. Pressuregauge shows me it just delivers 40Bar and i decided to disassemble it. i found some dirt in her from a gone gasket and clened her completely. Than i changed the O- ring and give her a Try. She screams a little but shows again fully 98Bar on the Pressuregauge. - Success - at least i drain the complete system and give it a complete Cleanup. This pump needs 12V 50A maximum on full pressure. That should be enough for a Testdrive if - yes if i got finally my Hydraulic Hoses i need now urgently. so maybe the Backhoe can maybe used with a bigger Generator Attached via a Mule drive. Bur firstly it must passes some Tests- and i need the Hoses...
