You should really think about one the carport style buildings like I put up.

During normal working hours (I know nobody works) it will be prudent for the collector to scope out restaurants and diners along with horses along the byways. So when SWMBO wants to spend some quality time with you on a nice day you say “ how about lunch at this neat diner I saw yesterday “ Where she’ll reply, “ Where is this tractor?”

Well I had to bite the bullet and get a bigger tractor for things I need to get done around the property at the sacrifice of my 552. I decided to go RED and get a TYM. They make Rural King/Mahindra and others. Got a great deal from a local dealer with a loader, grapple and pallet forks. So far I moved some big brush piles to a burn pile which in and of itself was a HUGE time saver!!

After selling and buying for 20 years this is the final straw. I sell a fair amount of tractor parts and my other hobby model airplane stuff. As a private seller I don't take returns unless it's an extreme circumstances or my mistake. Recently I had a buyer file a nonsense claim against me stating the description was wrong (which nothing was wrong with the item or description). As part of ebay's buyers 100% guarantee, ebay went and froze money in my PayPal account while the claim was investigated, to which they wouldn't even listen to my side. So now I have to pay to get the item shipped back if I want my item back. (I have to pay the shipping both ways). Ebay will automatically refund the buyer out my PayPal account. Apparently eBay has permissions to go into your account. What a headache! The sad part is I don't make money doing this, it's more of passing parts and pieces to other people that need it. Which unfortunately ebay's agenda now is geared toward high volume junk sellers from across the pacific and could care less about the small private accounts. So needless to say I have decided after 20 years I will be closing my ebay account. A friend of mine did the same and told me it is so much easier just getting rid at the dump rather than being bothered selling on ebay, craigslist, facebook people anymore so difficult to deal with. That's my rant for today. It's Friday , almost beer time!

So it’s repaired enough to get me thru the winter. Had to get creative since a couple pieces of the frame were unsavable. Left the original top on and covered the entire thing with a new tarp. Kinda dark inside so I’ll have to add a second light fixture.

I went through the magical box of spare briggs parts. I knew I had enough to build one spare engine but looks like I have enough to build 2. So I cleaned up and painted the parts universal gloss black. I know the one block needs rings, do that over winter. It's nice just have them just in case something engine less shows up. These are pre 1964 143302 and 143402 5 3/4hp. I have no tractor restorations this winter. I am planning the engine department all organized.

Started refreshing my dads 1996 toro 1028 power shift. New wear and tear parts, oil, carb and paint. Still a solid machine for being used its 1st 12 years of life in a commercial work atmosphere, then he hook it home after he retired it there for his own use. Other then paint still works like new. Not bad for 24 years of maine winters.

OK - more picture overload. Well...this now looks much better! The one picture shows all the internals I replaced. Carb was in great shape...should be good for another 41 years!

In my travels I see some of those canvas quonsets recovered with corrugated metal length wise.

That was a Way i did normally before, means mulching before sweep. The Way i will go now, is use a easy flip- Trailer, where the dump go in. So it will be collected in the Trailer ( open to build) where dump was blown in. When that works so far, than i can easily dump on the Forrest at my allowed Dump port. Easy and simple doing with some Seattime on the Horse - it‘s a try, but we will see if and how it works.

Last time i used the Sweeper to collect Leaf, i realized, i must interrupt very often to dump. When leaf is collected with the sweeper stuffed after it was mulched before the third of ammount can be collected until you must dump first time. I wanna keep my Mowerdeck as it is in Original Condition, but i see on my last mowing with the new Blades, And the removed sideshields, it is a hell of a Turbine on sideexchange. So my idea is to cover the rear and drain it just with 2 directed channels, where i will collect a Tube and send it into a Trailer, so i can ride a longer time and clean a bigger Areal, and have to dump maybe just once. not much interrupt’s on my Ride while dump, Seattime is important... it is just a Try but maybe it‘s working better than i believe of it ain‘t work at all an my idea is Stupid, however i will give it a Try.

It is perfectly acceptable and even encouraged to have a dedicated wheel horse for each individual task; one for just the mower, a different one for the push blade, another one with the 3 pt hitch for the plow and tilling attachments.... That's my story and I'm sticking to it. Wife agrees.

I have owned this tractor almost 20 years and it has proved itself over and over again. About 13 years ago I updated to a zero-turn for grass cutting on my two acre lot. The last 5 years with my kids growing up too fast my old Wheel Horse has been sitting in my storage barn - and that bothers me! I have restored race boats, antique motorcycles, so many cars....and why have I not restored my tractor?! Here are a few shots of my history with this machine that I'm so attached to! 2004 - put in a septic field and then had LOTS of grass seed to plant. 2004-2012 - soooo many party's pulling the kiddos around - 'Farmer Al' - LOL. I'm sure everyone on here has very similar stories from their years with Wheel Horse tractors!

Looks like a going out of business sale or a tag sale here...but it isn’t. Shed took a huge hit when a tree dropped on it in a windstorm last Sunday. Frame work is severely bent and a few pieces are snapped. None of my stuff was damaged so that’s good. I’ll spend today trying to shore it up to al least get me thru the winter. Right now most of the shed contents are in the yard and a few items including a couple tractors are in the garage.

Man I got mine running today pictures and video coming maybe this weekend yet have a fun filled weekend like always,the thing sounds sweet!!!!! Rides and drives good real good actually... only problem I have is on throttle up in gear the belt seams to want to slip for the first couple seconds but man oh man I am so happy like a kid in a candy store right now

I don't sell on eBay and as most of you know I'm not on Facebook or Twitter. I reached a point three or four years ago where I've stopped selling almost anything except here on Redsquare because I just don't feel like dealing with the headaches on CL. If I have something that somebody wants that's a friend of mine I'll likely give it to them or occasionally I'll bring things to the freecycle area of the transfer station.

Right there with ya!! I let my eBay account go and ended my PayPal account quite a few years ago. I don’t even look at eBay anymore. My reasons were a bit different than yours. I was watching a couple people I know bid on each other’s stuff to push up the price. They were both pretty proud of how they had “beat” ebays system and never had to pay for adding a reserve to their auctions and would always get top dollar. They both sold WH stuff so hopefully none of you got scammed. Dirty auctions is what I called it.

Exactly! Now that it’s winter-tight I can work on a plan for replacement. I bought a better grade tarp so who knows, might get a few years outa this setup.

Sat in my tree stand from 5:30 till 10:30 AM Saw 13 deer...all doe. One doe laid down 40 yds from me at 9AM and was still there when I left for lunch at 10:30. A quick nap and back in the tree at 1PM till dark. Those bucks gotta move soon.

I mounted up the 27x10-12 tires last night, they are significantly larger than the 27x7.50-12’s! I think once fluid filled, I’ll be plenty butt heavy! As far as height goes, keep in mind the skinnies have only fluid pressure from a 1/4” transfer pump inside, zero air pressure.

Agree. I was looking at the pinch point between seat area and rotating screws... wheels take things out the back. Still dangerous but down and out... screws will take things down and in while twisting... just an observation...

I think we shall find because of the very wide footprint that this machine will be quite stable

Im still dealing with things. But here are some pics, of things I've done the last few days, in my c160. The more I screw with it, the more I love it. I do not know if I did the best with the tie rods, @Achto...but considering i just used the Bronco as a guide n eyeballs the rest, for now itll do, I hope, as ive a few things to get done b4 Sun...I sure thankyou for your help getting mine upgraded, as one was originally just held on with wire!

No not really, feels like a regular tractor steering, other than I don't have stops on it. You do need to keep your hands on the wheel all times cause if you hit a bump it will turn.

So, @PeacemakerJack and I took a chance on these 27x7.50-12’s last weekend and they performed like monsters! I just ordered another set of them, but in the 10” wide fashion. I tubed and filled mine and haven’t weighed them, but have extreme traction. For my 7.5’s, I used a set of wheels (5” wide?) off an original 6-12 setup. I’ll likely use 7” wheels on the 10’s and fluid fill them the same. As for what to put them on? The 1054 “Joe” that I brought to plow day just needed a set of 1-1/8” hubs swapped from a 12” wheel tractor and we were in business! The best part about these tires is the price! Well other than the traction they offer, of course. I found a few deals on eBay for a little over $220 for the pair shipped.

So, I’ve had this generator for close to 2 years, bought it for $28 plus some auction fees and tax! Last year about this time, I tore the Genny head off and set out to see if it’ll run. It was mostly locked up, so I filled the entire thing with used motor oil and shelved it. Tonight, out of curiosity I pulled it down and it rolls over! All the way! Funny, same WICO magneto as the Senior, just a two cylinder version! Now, what to do, what to do? It was set up as a hand crank start but the pin sheared off, so there is no starter. Monster kick start? Big ‘ole rope? Big ‘ole starter/generator? @ebinmaine it’s collossus’ cousin engine!

The damage from, a big falling tree on one of those metal sheds will be pricey. May want to relocate to a safer spot.

Here it is.....pulled out of storage and in the front 'work garage'. Upon quick inspection...she looks pretty good! But of course...as we all know...critters make homes in the craziest places! Eeeeeek!!!

Lol ... I get it now ... hey I'm a little slow...ok I'm alot slow. Never claimed to be the sharpest knife in the drawer. It appears EB is a little sharper than I too. Good thing I didn't title it green & yellow rules .... Good man AHS... New rule... It is acceptable to flip tractors for profit to buy more tractors. In the interest of our kids it is also acceptable to use said profit for new shoes or a college fund instead of squandering on more tractors or tools.

Got a few pics from mine. The front spindle was made from a cast iron mower deck spindle the rest was spare parts that I had laying around. Just realized, with no shows this year I didn't even get it out of storage this year! It drives very nice and will turn on a dime! Only thing that I never got done was steering stops! Lol.
