I have a cheapo Campbell Hausfield sandblaster my neighbor gave me years ago that I've never used. Today, I made a duct tape and cardboard blasting cabinet. It worked like a charm, or at least long enough to strip the nasty, rusty wheels on the snowblower I'm restoring. The best part is, I'm pretty happy with the way most of the "cabinet" turned out. So now I can break down the cardboard, lay it flat and have a decent template for a real blasting cabinet. Redneck engineering at its finest. My Dad taught me well.

The best coffee is a nice cup of tea! I had a colonoscopy a few years ago. The procedure was easy, the pre cleansing was bloody terrible. I genuinely thought I was going to turn inside out.

Ahhh 50 - First you realize that you're a half century old, you go to the mail box & find your invite to join AARP, and then doctors wanna probe you. It just can't get any better than that, can it??

I hear ya Chris.... picked a 1077 up once and the seller said he cleaned the carb. Turns out his "carb cleaning" consisted of pulling out the main jet needle and blowing air down thru it! Alrighty then

Perhaps it is a Peerless 1400 transmission. Used in the 800 Special model 1-0150 and the A-90 Special model 2-4300. Get down and look up under the dash housing for an ID plate. Garry

I've done a couple of cleanses which is exactly the same thing as the prep for the colonoscopy. I found that to be tolerable for the most part as long as you're not more than about 20 ft away from the lavatory facilities. What I'm not particularly looking forward to is being half knocked out during the procedure itself. I turn 50 in December so it's going to be sometime in the next two to four months that I go have that amount of fun...

In drag race terms, torque makes acceleration, horsepower makes top speed. A Buick 455 will come off the line harder than a Buick 3.8L turbo V6, but the turbo car will likely have a higher speed through the traps. In tractor terms, torque is more important for ground engaging chores, and horse power is more important for PTO work. In engineering terms, torque is force times the radius of rotation. Horsepower is a unit of work, which is force times distance divided by time.

I'd need someone to follow me around to help me out of that thing...

I am fortunate enough to have an open minded Dr. that will listen to the patient and give you a call-back if you need to talk to him. I had my annual wellness check-up a couple weeks ago. There wasn't anything out of the ordinary but the Dr. changed my blood pressure prescription for no apparent reason. After a few days on the new BP pill I was feeling run down and couldn't do anything without feeling exhausted. Got out the wife's old BP monitor and found the BP was about 20 points above normal and my pulse was 48! I called the Dr. to see why the change was made and he said he had noticed some slight tremors in my hands and wanted to have me on a beta blocker to address this as well as BP. Long story short I went back to the old BP pill and don't give a $h!t about the hand tremors. After about three days of down time I'm back to normal (or as close as I have ever come). Guess next time I will ask why anything is being changed.

That completely backs up Dan’s explanation of stroke and a wrench length! That increases the radius of rotation!

Was hoping this might bring up some memories for folks, as that is quite a common reaction when the old Colemans are brought up. Growing up in upstate NY, I remember a lot of bullhead fishing with my stepdad, holding lanterns while he ran the net when the smelt were running, and him leaving one lit at the cottage so I could fall asleep to the hiss. Kinda forgot about them til seeing one in an antique shop about 5-6 years ago. ......then I found a website and a few social media groups of folks who collect, restore and use them, and they hold gatherings, swap meets, camping weekends, etc.... they even have a couple official clubs! Next thing ya know, I had close to 150 of them..... Hmm, sounds kinda familiar, doesnt it?
