10 pointsWhen Carol, my better half, was not much more than a year old, her mother gave birth to another baby girl. Due to circumstances beyond Carols mothers control, the baby girl was adopted. A few weeks ago, one of the adopted sister's son's, after years of searching, located Carol and got in contact. After some e-mails and phone calls, we have been invited down to meet up with the extended family Carol didn't know she had. Come Monday morning taking Carol down to South Wales, to the farm where they live. Could be an interesting and emotional couple of days.

8 pointsMy son-in-law just bought this 4-wheel cart. It has a hydraulic dump, wooden sides, and measures 40" x 72". Anybody have any idea if who the manufacturer is.

7 pointsSpent some time โAt seaโ last night... About 5 miles offshore, in 180 ft of water. We went 6 for 6! The 27.2 pounder hooked on 140 feet of line and ran out to 645 and held for a good 30 minutes before I could make any good progress.

5 pointsWell. I been asking for a chance to pull my new tractors. It's here... Wayy fast. I'm not ready.lol It's the 15th. I need to put a fresh belt on the horse. Change oil. Order and replace plugs. Fix/replace the kill switch. And add a personal touch of paint. I guess since I haven't named it,I'll call it the Wheelhorse. Noone else has one around here for pulling. I knocked out the battery, battery box, fuel tank, fuel pump, lines. Battery cables. The hello kitty needs a dang paint job. But definitely needs a fresh belt and .oil change.
-
5 pointsChange the oil. Better safe than sorry. It's 10 mins you won't regret spending.

5 pointsearlier this summer pulled an Alberta spruce out of the ground with the 416 - this evening pulled a rhododendron out with the 312

4 pointsHoooooooney, i go Shopping .... - for the Hooooorrseee .๐๐ Ok, there existing sentences you better keep to yourself.. ๐ Jump shortly to a Hardwarestore, to find some needed Things. Firstly to fix loosened drain oil Screw i organized few Fittings 3/8โ identical ones, as i used on my 212. ok a Galvanized will maybe work also, but i must have a bit of Crome somewhere on my Machines. like a good old statement โ you only can Trust it with Chrome and Flamesโ, i like it... some fresh Oil for a First refilling here of the Whole Horse I donโt know something about rotella as some here mentioned, here at my side i prefer Liqui Moly Oils with best experiences over decades. 5W30 for the tecky shall be fine, i hope he like it and 2 Bottles with 85W 90 gearoil for the Unidrive. If i be correct the Unidrive must have 1quart in thatโs close 1Litre. 0,9 Litre to be exact. i think it would die with one Liter in the Tranny 2 Bottles of Brake cleaner to remove some old Grease and oil spills. than while im lurking arround what they have arround Colors a red blitzen into my Eye i do immediately a stop and found that Beautiful Rubin Red and i decided to choose the Color combination, i will use for her new Finish. Rubin Red ( RAL3003). Deepblack (RAL9005) and a bright grey close to whilte( no RAL) i searching arround the Whole Colorpallette they have and love that Combination i put firstly on the Side. In my Mind i can see the Result, and i think it looks beautiful.

4 pointsA super nice, minty fresh set of new old stock. Certainly something you don't see everyday!
-
4 pointsI never used one on a WH, but I did use a winch to raise and lower the plow on a 4 wheeler. You do need a spring to handle the winch overrun when the plow frame hits the tractor frame. And I know this how? Don't ask.
-
4 pointsWhat do you want to use it for. The only PTO driven attachments from WH were the 60" finish mower (actually made by Woods) and the 50 inch roto tiller. Because of the high PTO speed most driven implements from other companies will not work. The 3 pt is a Cat Zero and stuff like York rakes are available. Other attachment snow plow snow blower mid mount blade are sort of unique to the D series as the frame is wider than regular horses.... Does the D160 already have a rear PTO and 3pt?? if not you will about double the purchase price by the time you get them installed.

4 pointsespecially if this is a pressure fed oiler motor with a filter. If if goes beyond 100 hrs then change it regardless. Won't kill the SIL to be without power for the 10 min it takes. Just a safety reminder fellas make sure you are not back feeding street power. Linemens lives matter too!
-
4 pointsCongratulations Stefan!!!! Glad everything made it and Kevin @pullstart did all that work and a great job to get it there! Thought you might enjoy a couple of the WHCC show shirts since you couldn't come this year. Hope to see you wearing one in person next year!

3 pointsHello all, well.... Eversorce restored power 20 mins before I got there. So... it got a full service, gas drained, carb drained, WD40 on outside.... its down for a long sleep till next time. Thanks for insight Tony
-
3 pointsI confirm...Short fins go down. Here is a pic. BEFORE you bolt up the hyd pump, make CERTAIN that the Charge Pump Housing is properly oriented. See 2nd pic. Get some assembly lube in there too. I used RED lube...

3 pointsThat's awesome ๐ The same thing happened to my mum before she had all of us. I met my oldest brother for the first time when I was 18 after he had spent years trying to find Mum. Quite emotional, and amazing at the same time. We all get on as if we had grown up together, have the same likes and hobbies. Good luck and enjoy the experience โบ๏ธ

3 pointsKeep on trucking and change it after the crisis or when it's getting dark. Consider what goes into a recommendation to change oil. The hardest thing that can happen to oil is running the engine and then letting it sit. That's when moisture, acids, and other junk build up. As long as the engine is running and it stays hot, that isn't happening.
-
3 pointsNo all D series are Cat 0 with a high speed PTO. I have not seen a bush hog for it. I have the 60" finish mower. FEL is from WH but made by Arc For 500 with 3pt and PTO I would buy it. Even if the hydro is shot you could get almost that back selling the 3pt and PTO.
-
3 pointsSpray the outside with truck bed liner when the cracks get filled. I used that on a set I had that were used heavily for years. Works great!
-
3 pointsDo you have a picture of what you're doing? There should be a spring at the end of the cable so that it takes up slack when the plow stops and the cable won't break.
-
3 pointsHere is a copy of the page covering neutral creep adjustment:
-
3 pointsOwners manual says once per year or 60 hrs... im just playing devils advocate with the thought of 60 hrs straight isnt as hard on the oil as 60 hrs off and on over a year. Also no dust / dirt like cutting grass. Ill end up changing because im not cheap. Just wanted to start a conversation and get some thoughts
-
3 pointsThe 'Brakng system' is the left fott pedal. Depressing the pedal brings the shift control linkage to NEUTRAL...effectively stopping tractor motion. I have a 75 C-160 Auto and it will stop on a hill, then back up the hill if wanted...no problem. Probably the most detrimental use of the hydro system is to pull UP on the Parking Brake (engagement lever) when in motion.... i.e., the proverbial 'Panic Stop'. Doing so grinds the Parking Pawl and gears inside the gearbox and filings work their way into the fluid that gets pumped thru the system....destroying sofr brass parts along the way. Accordingly, NEVER...NOT EVER... pull up on the parking brake when in motion.

3 pointsLike the shirts, even the other Gifts John. Thanks again. There must be something horrible to stop me next year to come to the Show. Would see ya Fellas all face to face, have a talk and maybe one or two Adult beverages.. ๐๐๐บ๐ธ
-
3 pointsInstalled the center "console" , the lift linkage, the drive belt idler, the hydro cylinder, and some new hardware.
-
3 pointsBet that Flex-Seal paste version would probably the trick here.

2 pointsA long time liurker here. After years of wanting a WheelHorse but not able to justify the expense, Iโve ended up with two in the last week. Both came from elderly relatives that were downsizing. One is a 1978 C-141. The other is a 1996 M12. Both run and have mower decks. Got the M12 yesterday and the C-141 last Saturday. Not had any time to play with them yet. jhn9840 John

2 pointsIโll be heading for Harrisburg Pa from north central Ohio next week (8-13) with my enclosed trailer. Iโll have room for one or two tractors going over and at least 5-6 coming back on 8-14 or 8-15. Let me know if you need something hauled along that route or close to it..

2 pointsHere is my free D160 i got before and after. Mine has a 16 hp twin hp onan! I love mine! Best gas money i ever spent. I put all new rubber on it. and tuned it up redid fuel lines, new headlight, tail lights, some wiring, knobs replaced. Now i am working on buying a snow blade and either a deck or rear pto 3point and rear mower. I am going to keep putting money into it. I am impressed with her so far!
-
2 pointsWell done Dan. Can't say your not keen. I don't think the lawn sweeper is a Wheel Horse one. I may be wrong but it's not like mine. Good catch on the decks and I guess you won't need that rod now. I got a side discharge, but someone had run over it with something heavy. Shell was badly bent. Stripped all the parts off it and scrapped the shell. In hindsight I should have kept it and used it for a pattern.
-
2 pointsBlackstone Laboratories bought up a number of vintage oils from eBay and tested to compare to current oils. The results showed little difference overall.
-
2 pointsIt's alive, after a bit of messing about managed to get some life into the little C125. Needed new coil and condenser and using an external tank as haven't cleaned the main one yet. Will have it out workng in no time though. What an excellent afternoon! ๐๐๐
-
2 pointsThis is something I don't hesitate to rant and rave about. A UL listed transfer switch or lockout device is an absolute MUST.
-
2 pointsWe have often debated moving to the US if a situation that arose where it was possible we would probably do it, have lived all around the world anyway over the years so its not such a big deal Being away from the sea would be nice, I am sick of ships, just do it because it pays the bills until something more interesting comes along - usually I spend 6 years at sea then six years ashore, been a fairly consistent life cycle so far.
-
2 pointsPower generators are much more important than mowing the lawn. That little engine at 3200 watts is running full tilt. For all it is worth, holding less than a quart, unfiltered..... this would be a good cause for using a high quality synthetic oil changed on a cycle.
-
2 pointsIt really amazes me as to what we're trusted with - go to youtube and learn how to plug your gen into a dryer outlet? Sure!!! Everyone is an amateur electrician - those poor linemen!
-
2 pointsMine is worth even a bit more than that! But it has a $1500 loader and a $2500 backhoe on it. The tractor itself is worth about $600-$700
-
2 pointsI believe part of their demise was lack of aftermarket body parts for years. I can let you know how bad they are in a little bit. I just bought this and am bringing it home in a couple days.
-
2 pointsThat is a very nice truck.. and I believe they are so ugly that they're cool:) I'd drive it but honestly, based off the number of 70's Dodge's I've seen vs Ford's and Chevy's. They had to have been a POS. I never see them, and when I do, they are never on the road.

2 pointsMust be a healty Tractor, my Hair grows - look... ๐๐๐๐๐๐ฅณ๐ฅณ๐ฅณ๐ฅณ๐ฅณ

2 pointsok.....the journeys over......This is is one of the most ORIGINAL Horses ever that I have seen. One owner, unmolested.....has a bad left front hoof though, I am going to put some dressing on it after dinner... poor thing..... Paint on the dash is really nice, and the overall paint on the machine is pretty darn nice too....Going to give her a salad dressing finish, then go through all of the fluids. They all look full, and like honey. AMAZING. If it not being indoors its whole life things may have turned out different for this Horse. Now its home to where it will be able to graze on non ethanol fuels, Lucas oil,and very special lubricants.... LOOK WHAT FOLLOWED ME HOME HONEY.......................I also told you about the skeleton...and some other priceless items in the yard...check out the Skee Horse...awesome. Read the signs tooo....what a find free mule drive....look at these guys towing the tractor from the rear property...
