A little while ago I changed my C-120's transmission fluid because it was full of water. Recently, I found out that the shifter boot may be the culprit. Bought new ones anyway and when I got out to change it this is what I found. Needless to say, i think I found my problem. Also got on the Raider 10 and tuned the carb for the new engine. Sounds good and I got to move some dirt around the yard. Couldn't help but take a pic of the action.

She’s not even aware of its existence yet. With all that is going on these days and literally no shows to attend I’m just going to wait. For the winter I’m just going to keep it stored down near Springfield IL at Clarke’s tractor storage center. rates down there are quite reasonable..😊

Jay, were you in the cantaloupe patch this morning ? Thanks for the @roadapples . They picked all day yesterday. And all day today during the hurricane that dumped 3-4" of rain.

We went last Saturday and cut some poplar trees to cut for use on the tool room our club is building. We finally got our mill set up and going. It’s powered by an IH power unit - basically the same unit found in Farmall M tractors. Started out great - until the lacing started to come out of our new belt! That sucker sounded like an angry honey badger as it thrashed about and came apart. Luckily we only lost some decking, boogered up the fuel tank straps on the unit, and broke the throttle lever off. If anyone had gotten in the way of the belt or debris, it would have been an instant trip to the hospital or worse! After we fixed the belt, the blade guides came loose and allowed the blade to contact the carriage heads. Another hour of sweeties g and filing and we were ready to go. Ran really sweet after the train wreck of a start we had. We got all of our logs sawed and found just a few more things that need tweaking. Not too bad for a 150 year old mill (with power unit update).

ok.....the journeys over......This is is one of the most ORIGINAL Horses ever that I have seen. One owner, unmolested.....has a bad left front hoof though, I am going to put some dressing on it after dinner... poor thing..... Paint on the dash is really nice, and the overall paint on the machine is pretty darn nice too....Going to give her a salad dressing finish, then go through all of the fluids. They all look full, and like honey. AMAZING. If it not being indoors its whole life things may have turned out different for this Horse. Now its home to where it will be able to graze on non ethanol fuels, Lucas oil,and very special lubricants.... LOOK WHAT FOLLOWED ME HOME HONEY.......................I also told you about the skeleton...and some other priceless items in the yard...check out the Skee Horse...awesome. Read the signs tooo....what a find free mule drive....look at these guys towing the tractor from the rear property...

It's just gone midnight and we are all up to start weaning the piglets. We go to each outside pen and pick the mother's up with the trailer, and shut the hut door so the (hopefully) sleeping piglets are trapped inside. Should be done by 8am, then everyone else turns up and collects the piglets and brings them into the weaning shed. A truck will pick them up on Friday morning and take them to Yorkshire where another farm makes them big. I'm just doing it for free to help out my wife and because I'm stupid! The kids all come out as well so it's a real family evening.

I recently purchased a couple of junk yard pieces, a Jacobsen reel mower and a Toro sand pro that I'm having trouble dating the years of manufacture. When suddenly an idea formed, the tires would have a date code embedded on the sidewall. Chances are these junkyard finds still have the original tires, albeit weather checked and rotted, but the embedded sidewall data has a story to tell.

The guy is a ditching contractor. He's from the Doncaster area which is basically a flat, featureless area full of old airfields 🛩, farms 🚜 and drainage ditches. In fact he lives near Finningley, an ex RAF bomber base with a heavy duty runway. This became the Doncaster, Sheffield (although its nowhere near Sheffield and was only named that because their airport was a flop and closed) Robin Hood (although Robin Hood was really Robin of Loxley, which is in Sheffield and nothing to do with bloody Doncaster) Airport. So if you guys fly over here the pilot has a real mouthful to welcome you It is a long way from where I live and he drove all the way on major roads to dig our ditch.

Har sent me a Mail, the delivery of my 656 will be tomorrow about lunch Time. So just few hour‘s until my new to me 656 Horse arrives to it‘s new Stable. It seems i be able to Welcome it myself, because i have a lot overtime i can reduce. So i will leave tomorrow at 09:00 GMT the Office to recieve my Horse.

Skip the starter fluid, bad things can happen. You may have fouled the plugs when the oil splashed up into the cylinders. Pull the plugs and crank it a bit, then put good plugs back in.

Thanks for all the great information, wheeledhorseman! I picked up this dump cart this spring from the original owner. He said he only ever used it to give his kids rides. It is completely original- even the tires are original according to him. It’s a great find, but now I’m too scared to use it - it’s too pretty!

I think what Bob is saying here is he shims the input shaft inward if there is any slop to keep the input shaft firmly into the 3rd gear. I've never done this but not a bad Idea and @Achtohas a horse that pops out that he is going to fix some day and will look at this. His 3rd gear looked pretty decent when he had it apart. Don't throw the old one out Dan makes dandy hitch pins out of them! Geez I shoulda posted that in repurpose Dan!

Along with tags in real big letters FILL WITH OIL BEFORE STARTING! Id have to say that rod is knackered wouldn't you Norm?!?!

I HAVE a backup camera in the glovebox of my E350 Van for hooking up the trailer.... a Swift Cam, I bought it 4-5 years ago and has been worth every penny. It mounts with a super magnet and then live streams to my cell phone. Just need to get a magnetic I-Phone holder and I am all set.. I will post pics next time I use it.... Ha, thanks Jim! But man, that's the first time I've ever seen my name and the word "liberal" used in the same sentence. Lol As far as keeping my tractors running, I'll be the first to admit that they don't all get run as much as they should but I've had almost all of the tractors in our collection running at some point. I tend to have 5 or 6 ( the ones that are closest to the garage door) that I run most frequently. But as long as I run the carbs dry, I don't ususaly have many issues running them after being stored for a while.

The brass fitting hise is probably original. The big outer one is a replacement. The hoses do not usually fail it is the O ring in the fitting or the swivel itself that fails. You could try replacing the O rings for a few cents before you pay big bucks for new hose. Frankly several of mine seep a bit still work OK and it keeps things from rusting

AG tires are date coded differently, they're not required to have a DOT number. 3. Date Code Date Codes tell you where your tire was made as well as what week of what year it was manufactured. - Code for manufacturing location - VE is the code for tires produced as Bridgestone/Firestone Des Moines, Iowa. - First two numbers - This is the week your tire was made - Last two numbers - This is the year your tire was made - "0819" 0 Indicates a tire manufactured on the 8th week of 2019

Don't forget The Sovereign. My buddy is into Simplicity's & Allis Chalmers garden tractors. I give him grief about owning his house & still having 4 Landlords. He also called me one day saying that he got a Sovereign for a Cub Cadet. My response was "Well, I guess that's better than only getting a Shilling for a Cub Cadet"

Mowed half the lawn, then drained the old oil. Once the new oil was in, I finished the lawn and started moving dirt to fill in some divots. Life is good.

A small gas engine. Most of their implements have engines to run the hydraulics or mechanics. They only use horses to pull the equipment.

This is the Rubber duck that we used to dig out the anti vehicle ditch and the drainage culvert. He also pushed down a huge willow tree that had grown in one of the culverts. He reckons ten tons of timber from it at least.

About 6 weeks ago removed the motion control assembly and completely disassembled it. Today cleaned all shafts and associated parts, picked up new nyliner plastic bushings for reassembly and anything else that appeared worn. Cleaned and painted PTO parts and E-brake hardware. Polished pto rod housing, mule drive,motion control and trans engage/ disengage lever for the 420. Getting closer to a trail ride test run.

I finished up the ramp for my Uncle. I had no idea how many uses the charged M18 battery had before this job, but one battery managed to shoot every screw, until there were 2 boards left!

I started this project in the Fall of 2014. Disassembled the entire tractor,sandblasted most of the parts ,primed and painted several of the parts , rebuilt the unidrive transmission,blasted and powder coated the rims and pretty much just started collecting parts including a k91 Kohler . also picked up the parts for rebuilding the k91 including a NOS .030 piston ring set, NOS piston rod and NOS Crankshaft. Also ordered from Terry a custom set of pink lawn ranger decals for the 68 ranger which was custom matched to the paint color of the tractor. And thats about as far as I got and the project was shelved for over 4 years due to life getting busy. So last summer my Friend Denny Clarke @dclarkeoffered to finish this project for me as a winter project to keep busy. Knowing how Nice of a Job Denny does on his restorations (especially Lawn Rangers) i had to say YES! To Make a long story short...Here are some pics.

So, i kept cranking and cranking, it started to backfire a bit from the carb, then she cought..at first she chugged, then smoothened out. When i got off of the seat to manually adjust the choke, she died and wont start back up..i was sooo close!!

By the looks of your hoses they are due for replacement. Lowell sells the hoses and repairs the cylinders.

This video shows a bit on how that clutch simply slides on the shaft and pins in place...

I agree about the starter fluid. Forget it. Remove the plugs and make sure you've got a spark/sparks. If so, remove air filter and squirt petrol into the carb.

The same tab was missing on my 854 when I got it. I simply drilled and tapped the frame and used a spacer.

Hope we see a lot of Pict‘s while Converting @Dan.gerous. Ya know, we like Pic‘s. 😇 and nothing is happen without Evidence😂 It‘s not a Whizzard work or even a Miracle, its just a wrenching Job. At least few measure before the sizes what must be changed, prepare it and then mounting it and paint before if needed. It sounds that easy as it is. Worst case it‘s a Week job include painting, depends on what you like to change and how it have to look. As an Electrical System you just need + and - Wires to Battery what seems allready delivered with that Engine. if not, that is no problem. a Ignition Key is still on that Engine what i have seen so far, so you can use that further. if you like to move it into Dash, extend the original Wire harness, so less Work must be done. As you working on vessel‘s i see no Problem for you, to realize that. Same situation, but just on Land. Don‘t talk about problems, let us talk about Solutions. you made it happen, i‘m sure 👍

MIL canned the green beans and did 20 quarts after third and final picking. Cucumbers are still producing so good I'm giving them away to coworkers. Tomatoes and peppers are next to go wild like the cucs another week and the first planting of should be ready next week(end) and the watermelons are coming on good as well. Then in the last pic a lil fella the wife was freaking out over , a tobacco hornworm on a tomato plant. Potato vines are dying off won't be long until I break out the 520 and plow, and plow them out.
