Two years ago Rodney Burger (Lawnman_56) and I bought some new baby moon hubcaps online. I think one pair were stainless steel and one pair chrome plated. I pondered this before on Red Square. As the great looking original hubcaps with the horse head logo lessen in quantity ( and increase in price) this is a practical alternative. Thanks to Terry Dennis (vinylguy) and his great decals he made several sets to go on these baby moon hubcaps. Our set was the trail version and were more flat when applying. Terry has since perfected with a center dot for applying and a more rounded look. Just another way to make a great looking show tractor!

I've been searching for a short frame snow blade to leave on my 854 year round. Well, I still haven't found one but now I have about 4 yards of dirt to move. I do have a long frame that I mount on my 05 Classic in the winter. That tractor is pretty tied up with mowing duties and I didn't want to be swapping attachments back and forth so I decided to get another axle bracket for the 854 and move the rear rod to the shorty position and get that dirt spread out. I checked out Ebay and those guys want more for a used bracket than Lowell sells his new ones for. I went ahead and ordered one from him. I went through Ebay rather than direct only because I had to use up some Ebay Bucks before they expired. Here's the two on them: + After it arrived I liked it better than the factory bracket so I decided to swap out the factory with the new one. It's being used in conjunction with one of his receiver hitches. There's not a lot of differences in the two but Lowells definitely gets the nod for better quality. I also added a drawbar hitch for the little dump cart and spreader.

I finished up a new stainless belt gaurd for the old Patiot.

Yes Lowell makes pretty good stuff for Wheel Horses - no debate about it- and he does it in between a full time job, a family and a gnawing search for Wheel Horse tractors, attachments and collectibles!

Cracking open a refrigerant tank and letting it vent does not count as AC! I got one of the biggest Carrier window shakers ever made in my shop. Think it was built in the 70's It's about 2 tons! Got a big A-- fan to blow the heat out of my back shop.

I turned a couple old machine shop work tables in to end tables for the basement.

We finally will have our first tractor pull of the year this Sunday. So, I took all the tractors out and gave them new batteries and oil changes. I had some spare time and fired up the C-145 that I originally bought to steal parts off of but my little tractor but wanted to save it. We blew it off, decreased and washed it. Little man even did some mowing with it.

I couldnt resist, it was almost free and I figured that a bigger machine is useful, or just use it for a bunch of spare parts if its on its last legs. You guys will be loving the fuel arrangement, he said the fuel pump isn't working so thats the obvious solution. The cutting deck has been butchered and I am not sure about the offset mounting position, he has had a front mounted mower so that might explain it. I guess the exhaust is stopping the bonnet going back on. Told my wife first thing this morning and she gave me the OK so long as I came and helped her artificially inseminate a bunch of pigs.....the levels I will lower myself to to get another little tractor! Now just have a 9 hour drive to go collect it, would be nice to have one on my doorstep a bit more often. So anyway, I am now the proud owner of 2 x C-125's 1 x C161 and whatever my race one is ( I always forget).

I went to an auction in Flat Rock, Indiana several years ago and there were two Elec-Trak Forklifts for sale. One of the Forklifts was sold with an electric Wheel Horse! Posting for reference. The tag for the Forklift says the forklift weighed 690 lbs!

and I like the model with zerk fittings.

I wish I knew that Jim. I appreciate it but I'm good to go now. Let's just call my post a plug for the quality of Lowell's goodies.

Hhhmmm... Sounds like you gotta should change your name to WHBracketX60... Ain’t you ever heard of the classifieds here on RS? Or at least give them to @pullstart so he has something to put in his FEL...

That is very cool. Terry is Top Shelf for sure.

Hi Guys, I recently picked up this Brinly Planter with a bunch of wheel horse attachments. I've got a 15x15ft garden so it's a bit overkill for my use. I was hoping someone on here could tell me what model it might be and maybe how much I can expect to get out of it. Everything turns as I think it should and I have 5 seed plates for it. Hoping I can use the money to offset the attachments I just bought...or buy another wheel horse

You will love the twin Briggs sound and power if it’s in good running condition. This is my dad‘s and has never had anything done to it except a few new batteries and maintenance and it still runs like a top.

I was at a buddy's the other day and spotted this in the woods line And had to have it. 1950-60s curves, beautiful... It's rusted out under the tin roofing but salvageable.. . For the dedicated, who does alot of sheet metal It's a Western Auto Wizard yard Cart But does anyone know anything about them? What year? I can't find anything on these on the Google's or a single picture of one. I know wizard rebranded several things that were sold elsewhere ( Mercury outboards) so was this style sold elsewhere?

They finally moved in, my wife Marie went up and laid down the law as they wouldn't leave the old house. Even a budgie listens sometimes!

Lane...you should say..."Now that I have had a chance to think about it...I come up blank." "I had an idea where I had got them, but it was like a dream." " I will say that if I figure it out, you will be the first to know." "Where in Wisconsin are you at?? " "Got anything to trade??" Excellent advise Lane...make sure your zipper is up if you deal with these guys. Just kidding Mate.

Gotta chew yer butt Bob..... .You need those brackets I got five dozen hanging in the parts shed. Seems every tractor that came in had one on it and I just don't use them. Sides I mornin likely owe you for stuff you gave me!

etsy is you have to have matching! Or it does take quite a bit of paint to fill in the tennis ball fuzz!

A few days in an E-tank should clean up that.

Added a primer bulb to the 417. Two squeezes of the bulb an the KT starts on the first 1/2 rev. Then mowed some trails and set the trap for a groundhog I saw in the cabbage patch. This will be number 10 when I send him to hog heaven, The cabbage and melons are ready to be picked this week.

Hundreds of thousands perhaps millions of these little saws sold all over the world, would not surprise me if many of the forum members at one time owned one or have one tucked away somewhere on the homestead.

Started work on the loft yesterday. Had the whole building empty and got the front support beam in place today. Then the sky opened up. Had to reload all the horses (and one deere) before an hour of torrential rain hit. Thanks to my 12 year old grandson who rounded up all the horses and brought them to the stable.

The two with the painted nuts and bushings have been used for thirty years. The other two are new with threaded 1/2" studs. I took two off my C120/180 so i would not have to drill out the steering triangle on my 520-H.. Then put the other two treaded 1/2" on the out side steering arms of my C-120/180.

Lol. Sounds foreign. Might have to use the metric drawer on that tractor. Thinking about it. I bet that's funky to drive. I remember back when I worked at a small engine shop i always used a hustler 60in to cut about 10ac but for some reason I had a 72" one day. I must have hit every last tree in the place with that extra deck. Driving that would be like swapping decks at the end of every row.

Lane, the Wisconsiny guys are not like that...that is for sure. A nice wicker basket of Wisconsin Sausage and assorted cheeses would be worth a couple of Baby Moons...maybe for the front wheels. 2 Baskets of goodies...2 front hubs and 1 back one....3 baskets of goodies, worth a full set of hubs.

worked part time at a service station during high school and college days ... neighbor had a nice sized station with around 8 bays plus body shop and two tow trucks one of my jobs was 'petroleum distribution engineer' ... lol ... pumped gas ... self service was just beginning to become a thing then we had a customers with Dodge Aspen w / slant 6 - some that would calculate their fuel economy - and they were getting under 20 mpg local driving one frequent customer was often under 15 mpg - which was right around what I was getting with a 396 Chevelle and 455 Olds rust holes began to form on the tops of the Aspen fenders within three or so years

They would be cool to have. Of course, that assumes they were not previously on "a vehicle" parked behind the Walmart outside of Gary, Indiana around 3:39 am last Tuesday evening ...

My dad had one of those Carrier monsters back in the 70's, when it ran all day during dog days down here the monthly electrical bill was.... Mike that's more of a wall shaker than a window shaker.

Yah I should put them there Sylvia ...trouble is parts shed is about a cluster as @Achto s garage so that means I would have to clean it to get them out...

I usually do with a wood bit but this was a quick job on a Work tractor. You do have to cut bottom out first before drilling!

Ok I found some pics from 2019 (last time I made one of the tennis ball boots for a Wheel Horse shifter on the transmission). This may give you a better idea how to make one of these tennis ball boots for your tractor!

I have a C141 Hydro. You'll love it!!! I never wanted a Hydro until I mowed with one. Never could get just the right speed with a manual. No problem with a Hydro, plus much quicker when changing direction.

Yes we ship international in fact we have a box going to the UK in a week or 2

This is one item I made several replacement boots out of tennis balls! They are thicker and can be cut with a hack saw on bottom and drilled through on top for shifter! These will last longer than the Wheel Horse boot!

I had one in a pulling cub. It was a Briggs, i can't remember HP. Straight piped with whatever size stock was to the floorboards and then up to 3in chrome tips. It sounded like a full fledge cammed up v8. I do believe best lawnmower I've ever heard. Deeeeeep, throaty, hollow

Talked to the man doing my car this week, plans to have the final coat or primer on it by the end of the week. Has been blocking the body and says it is looking pretty good. Will probably run down there tomorrow, hav to take a couple of pieces down.

Talk to any heat/air conditioning contractor the does commercial work. When units are replaced the belt driven fan is tossed out. A six pack should get it done for you. Mine was on the way to the scrap metal dumpster and the guy was glad to toss a couple into the bed of my truck. Used an old muel drive and some bed frame metal to mount it.

Love the Magnum engines. I have a 1988 416-8 that I just finished up " refreshing " . Its condition was in similar shape to yours. Check out my post in the Restoration section to see what I did to mine. A little bit of paint and a lot of elbow grease and a new set of decals will go a long ways.
