In a very heart felt PM @12Horse Paladin contacted me about helping him out with a Bronco 14 that he needed help with. I would have rather helped him fix the tractor but a 2 hour travel time between us made it difficult to just be a helping hand. Instead the decision was made that I would pick the tractor up and work on it at my place. @WHX24 and I made a trip to pick the tractor up. Here is a picture of the Bronco as it was when we picked it up. After evaluating the Bronco we realized that it had a few more issues than was expected. Knowing that we would be working with a budget Jim & I decided to reach out to see if others may have some extra parts to help bring this back to life for Jason. A special thank you to @A-Z Tractor, @dclarke, @ebinmaine, @stevasaurus, @Vinylguy, @wheelhorseman for helping Jim & I make this happen for Jason. Here are some of the hurtles that we encountered. First off the axle key ways were damaged and of course the hubs were trashed. The hubs were replaced and the axles were repaired. After the trans-axle was fully repaired and ready for service attention was was given to sheet metal repairs. There were multiple damaged pieces, with the repairs that were needed it made sense to extend repairs to a repaint as well. More pictures and the unveiling of the tractor to Jason yet to come.

My wife took this without me knowing

Wanted to pull out a couple stumps of trees just cut down. More than the Wheel Horses could handle. M37 winched out the first stump OK but the second one dragged her over the 6x6s as chocks. Got out the M and used her as dead weight. Stalled the engine on the M37 once finally broke free, should have gotten out the ****** block. Used the M to pick up the stumps and haul the away... The M is 76 years old the M37 67 me 70. Old farts can get it done. Note the rocks uncovered.That is what I have rocks and clay and is why have never even tried to use the mold board plow I got for my WHs a few years ago....You guys and your pictures turning nice dark stone free dirt....

Im not gonna say much here, tonight. Ill be startin aother thread tho, prolly tomorro, to say/add more. Been a long day n just got in from the garage again; rearanging the garage to fit everything. Will say i was speechless for a good bit after 9am, at 1st....and thats not something i am, often. You...guys, gals...all of you... Are amazing. A good looking tractor with a good transmission and a good engine still needs to handle well. The tie rods were in poor shape so to repair them I chose to turn the original tie rods down and fit them with replaceable ends. Some final body work to be done on the sheet metal. After blowing some paint around a little assembly work. On to getting the implements ready. The dozer blade was my job, Jim took on the mower deck. To start with the A-frame was not exactly correct for the tractor so some alterations were required. First of all a PO made an addition to the A-frame to convert it from a short to a long frame set up. Issue... they stopped short of where they needed to be. When the plow was pivoted it would hit the front tires. I removed the addition that a PO welded on and added on a more suitable addition. Unhappy with where the pivot handle ended up after the addition, alterations were done to make thing fit better as well as be more comfortable for the operator. The plow after it was finished and fitted to the tractor. I did some work on the mower deck. A little welding to take care of some worn out parts. Weld up some over sized holes so they could be made the correct size. The rest of the deck was up to Jim @WHX24. I'll let him give a take on that.

Just signed up. It seems like this board is more up on and more active w the xi series tractors. I have a 98 New Holland GT22(same thing as the xi22) but nobody seems to know anything about the NHs. anyway.... I have a 48” side discharge deck, a “toro” 48” snow/dozer blade, and a toro 44” 2 stage snow thrower i was really looking for a factory ROPS toro #79210. anybody have any knowledge of those? oh and a shameless pic of my blue beauty

Every spring and fall they have a big consignment auction in the next town over. Had a pretty good sale and pretty good turnout today, considering everything going on. But I always end up with a bunch of crap I dont need. Bought a couple pallets of stuff for $5, but most of it I'm sure is just junk. Bought some more shelves and parts bins for the shop. And finally bought this ugly little green and yellow thing. When they went to start it all it would do was click, and I saw it spark at the starter connection so I knew it was an easy fix. Bought it, grabbed a crescent out of my pickup door tightened the starter cable and drove it on the trailer

Finished. It'll never be this clean again!

I'll be posting more tonight, just have to step away and make some thing to throw down my throat.

I took off my plow and front and rear weights off and put my 1995 520 H in summer mode the other day. I put the hubcaps on too, but not in the picture.

He pretty much do's what we tell him Dave... I'll chime in with my version of the whole ordeal when Dan is done......it was actually quite edumacatling for me anyway... bout time I broaden my horizons anyway...

Hauled the C-165 to Mass from Maine to mow for the summer. Tested out my Sharpen with a hand file 3 blades on the 42'' SD and the old Girl still remembers how to stripe. The lawn was a good 6'' high so did it once in 1st gear and went over it a 2nd time in 2nd gear and happy with the results. Also got the 310-8 running for the first time and can't believe how nice it runs for a beater machine. This was headed for the WH graveyard and I just couldn't let that happen.

that is a calendar shot if I’ve ever seen one! Of course that specific model will always be my favorite (check out my avatar pic) not only because it is really cool looking and the first hydro but also because I was on one when I was your son's age too👍🏻 Thanks for sharing!

The way John Deere stuff sells around here I could probably double my money, but I'll probably keep it around...most of the mowing around the ranch I do with the M, but there are a few places it is just too big to get in to, not much on Deere equipment, but it beats pushing a push mower all summer

it’s an old picture... but I had just purchased that one and used it to build Frank, my wife’s custom tractor. Normally I use the hilo to unload but can’t tell why I used he hoist that day. Made for a good picture moment!

Found them a temporary home above the cabinets in the kitchen...that will work for a bit until I run out of room. Which may not take long at the rate I'm going. Still have the two coming I ordered last night. And ordered two more tonight, a Farmall B and John Deere R. The R is actually for Rodger for his birthday coming up, he wants a scale model of every tractor he owns, and the R was the only one he didn't have

Got the new 16hp engine for the C-160 today, and it's mostly hooked up. Throttle, choke, and exhaust to go. Along with fuel lines. There's one wire that seems to be missing from the equation . I've got a spot for one to go, but I've. seemed to run out of wires. I want to thank @richmondred01 for rebuilding this engine and having available for sale. Hope to have this running by tomorrow night, if all goes as expected .

Just a wee bit-o-snow fell last night. All the flowers came inside for the night, but the RJ...well she stays outdoors

Last time I hauled a car with my 95 Dodge V10, I noticed the transmission slipping a bit. Been about 6 months since then, and I began noticing it during normal driving. Hoping a fluid and filter change would help it hang on for a little longer, I pulled the pan and found some carnage, which is pictured below. In addition to the non-magnetic stuff floating around in the pan, I found some decent sized chunks of metal stuck to the magnet in the pan. I inspected the filter before pulling it off, and found it to be torn, so it's been ingesting everything through that opening which is likely what caused the problems to begin with. Put a new filter on it, filled it with Dexron, and it's not any better than it was before. Time for a new transmission. I hate automatics (in cars/trucks, WH's are the exception) and took to FB marketplace to see if I could find a 5 speed to put in it. Came across an 01 Dodge parts truck, also a V10 with a 5 speed NV4500, a disc brake Dana 80 rear end, good engine with supposedly 90k miles, for $350!. Transmission would bring 800 by itself on the ground, and the rear end would bring that as well. A kid bought it from his boss with an electrical issue and he pulled every wire out of the fuse block under the hood trying to diagnose, and then gave up once it was apart! Looks like my truck will be being manual swapped in the near future. I'll have to take some pictures of the progress and any hiccups I encounter.

I always did the normal routine maintenance on my 1989, 414-8, but never changed the transmission oil in 31 years. First time today after 1,400 hours of usage. Oil looked good, not black, no water, no metal flakes, no sludge. Good for another 1,400 hours!

Got it fixed and running. It was the pto switch. So I put a jumper in it and wrapped it up with tape. Thanks for all your guys help. Very much appreciated.

I think that trademark came out about 1970, we used Delco parts at the service station and I remember them bringing in all new cabinets with that logo about "70 or '71.

NO!! You have to change ignition switches when you go to battery points...You need a switch with an "I" terminal.

The high back one piece seat pan on the Cinnamon Horse was that way as well. I took the springs out and replaced them with pieces of 2" square tubing. Drilled holes in the tubing to set my seat 2" + further back than stock. It's about right for my "not small" self.

I go to a lot of farm toy auctions around here. As of now anyway,the boxes don't seem to mean anything to anyone unless it's something awfully rare. Here's a few of mine. So dark here now because of the storms I'll take more with better lighting. @stevasaurus BONGO MONKEYS!
