14 pointsWell the grandsons and I spent some time in the shop Sunday. Work started out with their workbench and working on their toy truck. Work quickly progressed to working on my C160 @dells68 this crew will be available to put the custom touches on your tub cart as soon as their through customizing my C160 PS I suspect their might be a pink tractor in my future. Were told our 1st granddaughter is on the way!

9 pointsWe recently updated our kitchen appliances so this fridge is being donated to the shop. I imagine this is still more efficient than the camp/dorm fridge that ices up all the time. Who’s betting that my movement apparatus will work to move across the yard?

6 pointsIn the house we went with a bottom freezer drawer thingy. It matched our new stove and was in the scratch and dent section. We found this sweet new function too!

6 pointsLoading up truck and trailer today for my trip to Florida Flywheelers via Georgia and Alabama! Going to be dropping off some deliveries to fellow Red Square members on the way to Florida where I will see some more Red Square members at Florida Flywheelers!

6 pointsI had the same problem with the Low Rider Dell. I pushed the seat bucket sides out as far as I could and it is still tight and getting tighter. You may want to make some spacers to push the wheels out a couple inches. Your "arse" will thank you some day. After I had the seat bucket to this point, I squeezed in and found I couldn't get my legs apart enough to straddle the console. I had to rework the front end to clear my legs.

6 pointsI decided to tack in a sheet of metal to start a wheel tub. First of all, I’m going to have to suck it in tight for my arse to fit between them there tubs! I haven’t trimmed it off even with the tub yet, just experimenting and I had an idea. I laid out a fender line on the metal sticking out with fine line tape. I initially thought I might carry it out the back with a slight upturn kind of like a model t fender, but I almost think it would look more sinister with the tubs trimmed off even with the tub. What do you think? Not committed yet, just playing to see what I like.

5 pointsEnjoy the Winter snow removal and trail rides to some degree but looking forward to Spring seat time, Anyone else.

5 pointsOMG, you can't cut up a OEM black wheelbarrow tub! You're on the naughty list now Dells Search wheelbarrow Go kart images and you can get some pretty good ideas to go for the look you want. This is my favorite. It's a peddle car but who ever did it is my hero

4 pointsOk guys, I’ve been toying with this idea for a few years and I have most of the spare parts laying around. What do you get when you cross one really worn out wheel barrow tub, a manual trans, short frame, 16 up Briggs Vanguard, flipped axle, and hopefully two trashed suburban hoods welded into one? I don’t know, so what do you guys think? Worth it or just save the parts? Stretch the frame another foot or so or keep it short? Have I lost what’s left of my mind?

4 pointsI'm just waitin', anticipati'n for the next snow to show up. There is a song in there somewhere...some kind of Association. Who's tripping round the streets of the city, smiling at everybody he sees, Who's reachin' round to capture a moment...everyone knows it's Stevie.

4 pointsI had had that thought earlier as well. I was realizing once again that this website is a very positive place with a bunch of great people..... But we sure don't seem to mind at all when we are trying to get someone else to do a bunch of work. Work might not be the right word. Messing around. Tinkering. Playing with our toys. Those are closer......

4 pointsI need to stay off this forum, it is giving me a lot of bad ideas. I mean, good ideas.

3 pointsLooking forward to Spring myself. Sure do like the ole square body Chev in the back ground of this pic.
-
3 pointsYes, in a way looking forward to spring, haven't gotten a lot of seat time this winter. Hopefully spring will be dry enough to be able to get out in the lawn.
-
3 pointsIt hasn’t been a very harsh winter, but I too am looking forward to spring. I hope it stays cold long enough to get all the starches in the sugar bush turned to sugars and maple season is a hit... but I’m ready to jump to that and get more shop time with open doors!

3 pointsMy father always said if you enjoy doing it it is not work. He would spend hours in the field "playing" on the Christmas tree farm. It was his WH that I inherited.

3 pointsi know how to make it snow, just take off my snow blower ! i would still leave on my two 42 " blades on my other two. so far this is the winter that isn,t , what we had was easily cleaned up . regular rain often, temps in the 40,s ,windy. i think with the ground warmth it will make any snow fall short lived, even the moles and the rabbits are out. on the other hand my son in northern vt , just had 15" + . kinda weird , waiting to get kicked , maybe in April , we did get 27 " in April years ago , buried the stop signs, pete

3 pointsSorry, no video proof... but it didn’t take much to get everything in motion and keep it moving.
-
3 pointsFlames, its got to have flames. it sure is easy to toss out these ideas when someone else is doing the work!
-
3 pointsBought the belt guard for the Burns, gonna get some funds together, buy my almost brand new briggs, and get the restoration going.
-
3 pointsYou know as we get older we like to get things a little easier to get through the day. The thought of having my knees that high up in the air while driving a tractor.... nah! I does look cool ! Dont forget

3 pointsWell there you have it ladies and gentlemen. The Dell / Roth version coming up!

3 pointsI like it. Kind of a T tub vibe. How about a vertical windshield and a pair of gas light lanterns either side of the windshield where the cowl would normally be. Big wide back tires and maybe skinny bicycle wheels and tires up front. Oh ya - big tall shift lever with an 8 ball knob.
-
3 pointsNaw Ed thats just extra weight to slow a guy down ...does add some coolness tho .... me thinks you should have a chat with Mike @prondzy ! His is a blast to tool around in! Way to quick for me Richard!
-
3 pointsStefan, we just had some wet heavy snow come through the Midwest US. It’ll probably hit @ebinmaine next, then skip right across the pond to Southern Germany! I know, I’m about as accurate as a weather lady but no where near as cute...
-
3 pointsI used the greaseable Heim joints, threaded rod and bolts on the low rider build.

2 pointsHas anyone tried the bare metal look on a tractor? I'm sitting here looking at the beauty in the swirls in the metal and thinking hmmmm... what would it look like to spray clear on it to seal it. Just a thought for now.
-
2 pointsThat's what I'm takin Ed! I take one of those football roasts out of the hind quarter and brine it in maple cure. Slow smoke for 6 hrs then slice paper thin... serve with white sauce over toast points, biscuits or mashed taters....now that's good eats!

2 pointsJust wanted to show off my grand baby Emma. I thank the big man upstairs everyday that this blessing has been put in me and my wife's life. We have had alot of stress over the past 3 years and having this cute little turd has been the biggest blessing in the world to us! God is good!

2 pointsA couple of suggestion here: 1. Best to add weight on the axle, least stress one the bearings. Weight added beind the rear axle will tend to act like a titter-todder, lifting the front end slightly, and the blade it-self unless, you have weight on the front end too. 2. IMO; weight inside the tire, like RimGuared is the best way to go, 'low & close to tractor'. 3. Rubber chains are very safe, no damage, 2- link will give a very smooth ride. but $$$ 4. An engine block pad heater will make starting much easier on those 0º mornings. 5. Early in the morning before any sun comes out, the snow is very dry and light; for me it's well worth getting out at 5am for clear snow. 6. A trickle-charger will keep the battery at 12-13 volts which is what it takes to start on a very cold day. (I'm in Michigan and love it). 7. Wire all 110v extra plugs to just one plug so it's easy to unplug once the tractor is started, consider allowing for using with warm gloves. 8. I'm near a busy highway and allowed for extra HF magnetic lights. 9. (I wished there was a back blade available with sides to pull snow away from a garage door). 10. A heated car seat pad is very easy to install and really helps to make plowing more comfortable. Left: regular Carlisle Lugs Right: Firestone 23º Lugs

2 pointsI forgot to take a picture of the back of the hangers, but I made a tall /\ shape on the back with 100% silicone to shed any water that might get behind the hangers.
-
2 pointsWe have been using the shower for a few weeks now and have yet to install any towel hangers. A few items like shelving, full length mirror, etc have been added... but towels are draped over the wall. We noticed the wall area between the shower and tub stays dry, plus a towel would be handy for either option bathing or showering. I tried a cement drill on a scrap piece of tile and quickly realized drilling tile is no joke! I have a diamond tipped core drill that was used to make holes for the push button shower controls, but couldn’t seem to find a reasonably sized anchor to hold the screws for the hangers. We got a set of these fancy tile drill bits from Amazon and with plenty of constant fresh water from a spray bottle, things are looking like a finished bathroom is coming soon!
