I thought you may never have seen a WH delivery quite like this after purchase, and all I had to do was to remove the 36'' tiller so the C-120 would fit in the bucket, tiller also was included in the deal. Have included a few after pics with a good cleaning, wheel paint, and some WD-40 to keep the Patina.

Shortly after Jim's @WHX24 plow day I was cleaning up my trailer to get it ready for a fresh coat of sealer on the deck. While I was cleaning I noticed this nice little surprise. Last weekend I pulled the deck off to get a better look at what had happened. Well things looked even worse on the under side. Seeing this reminded me of a car trailer that I looked at that was built out of tubing that had the same issue, Nitro boat trailer were built with tubing and also had the same issue. Lesson in life, don't buy or build a trailer with steel tube construction. Well mine is unusable so nothing to do now but turn this. Into this. Stand by for the building of my new trailer.

I’m planning on coming this year as far things look now . I’ll be staying at the grounds in my new toyhauler and if it’s just the wife and I we should have plenty of room . As like @pullstart said I have no problem sharing and helping out .

@PeacemakerJack @pullstart. @JCM @elcamino/wheelhorse Bringing in the new year with this ole rig... Took another load of firewood over to my parents today all went well over and most the way back about 35 miles or so home I stopped for some gas left out made the 2-3 shift and the rails locked up in neutral could budge the shifter sitting have way in the lane of travel and the shoulder, knocked on the door of a house next to where it stopped he pulled out of harm's way while I popped the shifter out and pried the fork/rail back to allow shifting and on my merry way home all before dark... BTW 10+mpg there and back and see the elevation on the mountain ... Happy New Year!

I finished all the drawers in the vanity the other day, now I’m working on grout. It’s so time consuming on the walls compared to the floor!

I'm also interested in any advice as I'm hoping to visit the show sometime. Maybe next year as other things already planned for this year. There's a possibility of me getting over to WHX24's plough Daze. For that I'll fly Carlisle - Dublin - Chicago O'Hare. From there a certain gentleman in Elgin said he'd meet me. If he remembers.

Needed a sheltered spot to put 520 with cab and blower on days after snow so as not to put it inside full of snow, so I came up with this hinged roof on side of shed. There is already a similar one below where the Electro with plow is. Basically 7'x10'.Simple construction only two 2x10s ripped into square pieces for frame, 3 roof panels from Lowes, 3 stainless hinges, a couple of cables and turnbuckles to square frame and to provide an adjustable crown up front since there is no middle support. Two adjustable legs saved from an old tent and its done. Convenient and out of way when not needed.

We got about 11" here with the same intermixing of sleet that @JCM mentioned in the previous post. Trina ran the snowblower around a little to break through. Then we got the horses out and set to work. Each of us got stuck once. No big deal. Just a bit of a tug or a shovel. Driveway is clear and ready for the next round.

@Cvans I would never have considered that when I was younger just strip it down and repaint , turn the clock to The RS boys who gave me the idea to clean the original paint preserve the Patina and repaint the wheels, what a great idea and I don't have to worry about scratching the paint like on everything else I own.

Might as well build a sleeper on it since James won't let you sleep in his fancy pants toy hauler!

@AHS I factory ordered that truck in March of 1986 knowing I would keep it for many years, there are more pics on page 7 showing the interior. It has an LT9 350 with a 4 barrell carb and 4 speed manual transmission that the salesman tried to talk me out of saying it was to nice of a truck the way I ordered it to be shifting and I'm glad I didn't let him talk me out of it, that's the most fun part of driving it even 34 years later. Thanks for your interest

Well the time has come to get some work done on the RJ. Got majority of it apart today and the list of "wrong" was adding up quickly. This is gonna take longer than expected but should turn out great in the end. Enjoy the tear down pics and stay tuned for progress!

So in the process of building one of these transmission dollies this old girl showed up and snuck her way into the shop. Well that's not really how it happened. Don't worry it's not mine, a friend picked this up and it's sat for years. Cant turn my nose up at chance to make a buck or two. Boy it is GREEN!! Started with the top end. Removed the head and de-carboned everything, oiled the valves and cylinder. No slack in the piston and one of the cleanest engines I see. The carburetor is tomorrows project.

That’s about the best news I’ve heard @ACman!! I’ve missed seeing you the last couple of years! Maybe you and your family, @pullstart and family, and my family and I can get together to go eat or something. Kevin and I had a blast with our families going to Sweet Frog for ice cream after the Italian dinner last year. Just nice to spend time with friends!

Happy New Year! Have you confirmed a flight and a vehicle? Where are you flying in to? Maybe we need a list list of things you might need, and what we can help with? For the show, I’ll hook you up with a tent and bedding if you plan to camp on the grounds. We’ll be there the whole show time... If you would like, I have a cooler too for storing food, drinks, whatever suits your fancy. Obviously tools for your shopping needs will be everywhere!

Ended up with a good 10'' of snow out of this storm, brought the 520 out for a little exercise today. The sleet mixed with the snow made the Onan work extra hard though.

You been watching too many reruns of Christmas vacation Kev ... Reduced a perfectly good 702 to a pile of parts today. SWMBO say's candy apple red so she what she wants is what she gets! Her tractor & no point in even arguing! What you laughing about @Achto yer ideas about the flames BS! She even helped by stripping ... get yer minds out the gutter fellas... mafia in training! Got this tractor from @Shynon, an older resto of his, couple of years ago and has always been my go to tub puller and a tractor show must have. He always said good candidate for a repaint. He was right ... after looking at some of his paint runs worst than me after our new years lobster feed! Tranny is a little loud so that will get sorted out as well.

@Kurt-NEPA, @PeacemakerJack, @shallowwatersailor @19richie66 ... I was over in WV delivering some more wood to my parents and my 15yo boy came out to help then on the way to his house I took a little detour to see my old dealer a see if the N.O.S. xi I keep referring to was still available and yes it is but has gathered another couple demo hours... Enjoy. Really wish I had the $$$ to bring it to my stable.

I agree. I have little to no painting skills so I leave mine “original with patina” and only paint the rims. It totally changes the look

A friend of a friend at my old job put a Camaro body on a Blazer chassis, then mounted an 8’ belly mower under it for field duties. We dubbed it “The Camower” but I had only seen pictures of the creation from the first friend. That’s riding in redneck style right there!

I had a 68 Chev short bed 4 wheel drive straight six - 4 spd Fisher plow (rare at the time ; most had Meyers at the time) had the big straight six - not the small 235 or whatever it was 292 I think (? - 300 would be a Ford ?) not positive - but I believe it was the same heavy duty / commercial 6 installed in many UPS trucks at the time ... beefy bottom end (forged crank and rods ?) truck was ordered from factory with lower gearing - really low : that thing was singing at 55 mph on the highway

Came from a family of Deere, 3 generations, at least 90% anyhow. Being the black sheep I had to be different and those reds always caught my eye. Tell ya what, as new as I am to all this, there’s still no doubt these Horses are simple, no frills machines and built like a tank! Couldnt be happier with the switch!

Did a little patch work on the 520-H. Somebody had run into a couple of bolts with the lower hood, or it may have been the same bolt twice at a different place. Busted the paint and was rusting. I ground off the paint and knocked out what I could get. Filled the area, didn't quite get enough area filled. I didn't have any regular filler so I used BJ Weld and you don't put any extra on as it's hard to remove. I'm not building a show tractor. tring to stop the rust and make it look a little better. Don't use JB Weld for filler unless you have some good Gator Sandpaper. I also knocked a dent out under the right head light I got most of it. I painted the red and put a heat lamp on it for a couple of hours then painted the black after lunch. Lowe's had some Troy Buit Red that I tried looks to be close to Toro Red. I'll see what it looks like after I get it out side. I know you want pictures so here are a few.

I have built many odd things in my life but I think to most this one will be the oddest and most unusual. Its a typical Portuguese oxen yoke. I am probably the last one in many years that has built one of these, and it is probably the one I am most proud of.

we miss the brown truck ! diesel auto 4 wheel with meyers plow good times - would drive the kids around in this truck and listen to their fav country tunes but the diesel engine was the fav tune - nothing quite like the sound of a diesel when I brought home 416-H - their eyes opened wide because they thought it sounded like a diesel lol

That side of shed is an essential passage for utility trailer .Shelter legs obstruct that. In winter it will probably always be up since trailer does not get used ( trailer also has usually a tractor stored in it in winter). Another reason is that it would be too close to property line as a permanent structure. Wife is already giving it the evil eye thing there are more tractors coming. I might also introduce another one on the other side of shed. It has to be smaller due to a beech tree too close to shed. A few reasons for your second question. My first intent was to have legs always attached to roof and have them pivot out as I lifted roof out. For that roof has to be flush on the edges. I first tried that option without the roof panels in place, but found that it was just too problematic. First in closed position legs would fall out. Then when lifting roof, legs would have to fall against shed as I lifted so they would support it. That did not always happen on the two legs, sometimes one falling in the opposite direction, creating an odd situation for me to fix since this thing is ten feet long. If instead i just lay the legs out first and then lifted , then leg's feet would constantly get stuck on gravel. So I opted not to have legs installed when in down position. Instead I have a third leg that I use in the center that supports top at the correct height already allowing be to place the other two without any drama. Now the reason that there is no drip edge on the other side, (eventually there will be) is that one thing I neglected to calculate, was how long panels would be when you overlap them. Therefor on that side panel overhangs by 1/2". Cannot really cut it it would not look right, so I just left it since I no longer need it flush. By the way, since pitch is variable I can use top as a smaller storage area by just lowering it and having legs horizontal up against shed as brackets looking like a tent. As for cables, one is mounted diagonally under frame and allowed me to square frame prior to installing panels. The other cable is mounted towards front of frame, and by tightening it it creates a crown on front of frame to increase its strength by eliminating sag in the center since I do not have a support there. I can adjust the "crowning" as i need it. I use that system many times even on shelves with long spans.

Why not just make it permanent? Beefed up a bit, of course. I think it would be useful year round.
