This was a bad storm we had lots of ice with some snow. So The B80 8 came thru again. That plow kicks but period. With a little pressure on the handle and it digs down to the pavement. A big.

So my wife works as a A&P mechanic for American Airlines at ORD (Chicago O'Hare) and we love to travel....especially on her travel benefits. This years adventure was to Cambodia. We started in Phnom Penh, then went up to the Mondulkiri area to visit an elephant sanctuary, and then our final stop was Ankgor Wat. Attached are a few of many pics to highlight the trip..... I saw a lot of tractors along the way, but most of them were bigger than our WH types and most were the almighty orange Kubota's.

So my wonderful little honey has been chomping at the bit to use the snow plow on her horse. Chomping at the bit. Horse. See what I did there? I made a horse joke and I didn't even mean to. Well yesterday we got a little less than 2" of snow so off she goes! Took her a little bit of getting used to because the plow is in the front not on the belly like the grader blade. Like pretty much anything after just a few minutes she had it figured out.. She got up on the incoming part of the driveway which has a slight Hill to it and was pushing the snow down to the flat to me. I was then pushing it off in front of the house with the rest of what I was clearing. When the upper driveway was done she went down in the backyard and was even able to clear snow in front of and beside the shed. This past summer we had done some changing of the contour out there to enable us to use a plow and it seems to be working quite well. This all happened after dark and both of us were busy so there's no pictures yet. Next time I get home before dark I'll try to throw together a short video. Trina had an absolute blast. She told me at least three or four times how much fun it was. I may have created a monster and you all are partially to blame.

The family bleeds green lawn and garden tractors, however Im the black sheep and always liked the Horses. Wanted one that could handle implements as well as lawn duty and have power to spare, so I snagged a working 91 520H. I can see already that this is not going to be a 'perform maintenance and put it to work' piece of equipment, I brought it home 6 days ago and have already done the maintenance, fixed most of the wiring gremlins, fitted a polished stainless stack, torn it half apart and ordered paint and new decals. I believe this forum is going to be a huge help along the way. Heres to another addiction

Wheel Horse one of the few (if only ?) with a great full length plow frame that attaches to the rear and can do without tools

My wife wants me to show her how to use the plow ... says it looks like fun. I keep telling her it is very very complicated !Not sure how long that will work.

I fixed wheels to my lift so as to be able to lift and move the tractors. Sitting in a folding chair and being able to rest rear tires on my lap to mount is really worth it. These little lifts slide under tables and take up very little floor space. Tractors shown are an electro 12 and a 1075

First class is very good. That's one of the perks of her job. We fly non rev standby and pay very little for those seats. Downside is, if there aren't any available seats on the flight, then we're not getting on. It's made for some interesting travels and you have to be very flexible with your schedule. This temple with the trees was featured in the Lara Croft Tomb Raider movie from 2001. It was mostly undisturbed for 800 - 1,000 years prior to that. There are some renovations that are currently being done.

Hi all, I'm new from Pittsburgh PA and I'm going to be asking for some Toro/Wheel Horse info as I'm looking to replace my aging Cub Cadet in the spring. Maybe I'll even become a regular here!

If it can't be fixed with the above items just junk it. Can it. Toss it. Heave it. Chuck it. Or paint it green????

Nothing wrong with bailing wire repair job! It has gotten me home a few times, but sooner or later I guess a slightly more permanent repair would be in order.
  20. 3 points
At what point did the bailing wire operator look at his job, stick his hands on his hips with his chest stuck out with pride and say, “Yeah, that’ll do just fine!”?

You stick around long enough, you’ll realize that Trina (she has a black belt, so I call her BBT) seems to get her hands on more work than EB when it comes to tractors... maybe any work! She’s a tough cookie.

That's pretty much what I was thinking. If you need parts, help or both send me a PM. And post LOTS of pictures. Us children likes our pictures....

Seems an almost identical machine showed up in a question of ID. My vote was a 10/1267 or a Raider between 68-70.. That hood is 100% post 1970. A few things off though. After 68 they added full length footplates, a 3 spoke steering wheel, but did away with the generator starter. Some early Raider 12's did have full boards and a genny.. however the hood is wrong. That 2 spoke wheel looks to be the smaller one, and that would tell me 1965-6. 67 wheels are lager and a little different shape. That dash also has no headlight switch location, further pointing to a 1966/7. ..A proper mutt if anything. Must have been Johnny Cash's mower. Curious what the ID tag would say.

The solid link rules...for sure. Dang that blade looks big.
  32. 2 points
No, that was not the reason I mentioned that. I do not believe the 2 are related. The pre 1963 tractors turn like a crewcab Silverado, the 1963 and later turn more like an S10.

Grout is in! I waited too long on the first portion to sponge the excess away. It’s tearing up my sponge pretty good!

When making those carb adjustments Mick make sure the motor is good and warm. Turn both screws per the manual. Turn the screw in till it starts to sputter then back out to where she sputters and then somewhere in-between. Like Norm said idle screw first. I go by feel as to where she runs the best.

Don't get things as bad as you, lads. Had a frost last night after some light rain. Main roads were ok as they had been gritted. Back lanes were something else. Sheet ice! Made things interesting and SWMBO quiet.

That tube comes from the blower housing so it's not hot air, since the air is directly from the intake of the flywheel and before it passes the engine. Not really sure what the purpose is though. Just recently got my first Onan powered 520 so I'm also interested in it's purpose. My Kohler powered tractor does have the intake tube pull air from the warm side tins for winter or cold conditions but it can be rotated for warm conditions. I assume that's to stop the vaporized fuel from freezing

Welcome aboard. Glad to see you have the addiction terminology straight already. You will most certainly find all the help you need and then some. If you're not careful you may even make a friend or two.

I bought a pair of ags at an auction this past summer that have screws added, three per rib. I’m probably not using them in my year old concrete driveway but plan to put them on a tractor at my farm. Great idea about putting screws in a pair of boots. I went down on the ice while fishing last year and will give them a try!

I’ve heard of swimming with dolphins, but not with elephants! Awesome trip, how was the first class flight overseas? We dream of the day we can upgrade, but twice the cost for the average Joe is so hard to justify!

It is coming along very nicely Kevin! The floor is really looking good and I have big time envy about that “trough drain”—that is gonna be really slick. Good thinking Mrs P on those weep holes...👍🏻

It is a different color. We’ll add it in every 4 or 5 tiles. I’m going to call it an engineering change order, so I don’t have to look like I didn’t buy enough tile before they discontinued it! When I added the extra height in the wall, I think I cut myself short on tiles. I ran some figures and realized I was 2 or 3 boxes short. I worked with the manufacturer, Home Depot our own @PeacemakerJack and Mrs. P. trying to figure out what to do. This was our solution.

Whoa. I’m just going to do one at a time. I just want to clean it up and paint it replace all warn parts and anything that has baling wire on it. Haven’t seen any on the B80 yet. But the raider has several. The tie rod is wired on

My little bear is growing up..... Today was my sons first day of school. He’s been waiting for this since he could put together sentences. Every time a school bus would go by he’d ask “Daddy, is that gunna be my bus?” He went off with no fear, only excitement.
