It was the day before Thanksgiving, November 25, 2009. I was researching Wheel Horse tractor parts as I had gotten the bug to restore my 1977 B-100 8-Speed. I discovered RedSquare. I joined. I am thankful. Happy Thanksgiving to all my many Wheel Horse friends and family.

I would like to take a minute to thank all of our Servicemen for keeping us safe so that we may enjoy this Holiday in peace, to all the members and families and especially MR @roadapples to keep him in your prayers and that we may all enjoy this Special Holiday.

I would like to wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving and to thank you for all of the years of companionship and instruction. A special thank you to John @wallfish for his generosity and vision which makes me smile every day. Also a special thank you to @Ed Kennell for listening.Life has not been easy around here but it seems to be getting better.

Of course—Mr and Mrs Rules Can’t forget my buddy Pullstart (the guy who welcomed me to the forum) and his lovely wife The Boys and their roundhoods! Ryan and his tribe. these are just a few pics that I have on my phone of some of those that I’ve met and made friendships with since September 2014. So, to add a little interest to my Thanksgiving day, we had some unexpected visitors show up at the door. Three very friendly goats showed up and made a nuisance of themselves. A call to Animal Control and the sheriff showed up. We found where they had escaped from and we herded them back home.

I joined up about the same time as you did, Bob and I’m thankful too. Glad we got to meet a few years ago.

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you as well. My wife is a nurse and doesn’t get today off...so we do our Thanksgiving meal on Wednesday when she is off. It actually works out, we get both our kids (21 and 24) and they are free to go to boyfriend/girlfriends houses on actual Thanksgiving Day. Me? I’m alone with a couple cats today and not complaining at all!!

And my azaleas eaters. No thanks.

Well guys I have a story to tell you today and then I need help tracking down a few parts. I have a 72 Bronco 14, I got it when I was 16, I'm 22 now, and fixed it up after it had sat a long time and then started tracking down implements.by the time I was 18 I managed to find a plow,deck and blower for this machine. As I started college I realized how much college cost so I sold the tractor much to my regret and missed it much. Fast forward 4 years I'm nearly finished with college now and newly married and I get a call from the gentleman I sold it to,asked if I want to buy it back.Absolutely I say but later found it was a bit worse for wear from disuse.After he bought it he used it 1 time parked it and didnt touch it again. In that time he also lost parts for it on top how rough he sold it back to me for. It is running again now but I'm needing to track down some parts with your guys help. Parts on tractor itself I need are hydraulic hoses, a fuel pump and a rectifier. The parts he lost for it though are for my attachments. Upon return I found the blade control rod is missing for the plow and the lift bar for the snow blower is missing as well. Thanks in advance for any help and thanks for reading my story.

to See the WIKI Discussion for WIKI 953 on the home page it will provide you with the history of the 953's. They are really great tractors and as the others have said some of the small items that are incorrect are not a big deal and can be corrected. One thing to note is that that tractor has a hydraulic lift that makes the use of attachments a dream. The handle on the right side controls the up and down of the lift. When you go and look at it check the handle its spring loaded, when moved front to back and you let go of it the handle should return back to the center position. If it stays in place the spring is broken, the lift may still work. The rear tires are original and look to have good, they are hard to find!! If the front tires are Goodyear then they are original too. Even harder to find.

If you read the side of an ag tire "backwards" is for turf use, "forward " is for dirt fyi

Some of us get our Dozing in after the turkey, I got mine in BEFORE the turkey! Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

I usually go around with my echo handheld blower (which I’ve had since 1985! And has just short of a billion hours on it) and clean around the house and the trees. Then I ride around and suck them up with my 416-H with 60” deck and Peco vacuum. Recently added a buddy seat so I can bring my little girl with me! She rides around with me and seems to love it.

I am looking at this cart just curious if it is actually a W/Horse cart? I know the tires are not original. Should it have a I.D. tag on it. Owner has had it for about 20 years any info would be help full. Can send better picks later. HAPPY THANKSGIVNG TO ALL.

After some thought, I developed a procedure for removing the steering wheel that is well controlled and easy on the steering wheel. Follow along: Step 1. Purchase a steering wheel puller from Amazon... cost about $15, and a pair of 5/16" x 2-1/2" lag bolts with washers from HD or Lowe's Step 2. Drive out the roll pin at the base of the wheel through the shaft with a 3/16" punch (this is the hardest thing to do). Step 3. Remove the snap-in cover on the top of the wheel. (Probably gone anyway ) Step 4. Using a 1" hole saw, drill into the top center of the wheel and remove the "plug" of material that covers the end of the steel shaft. When you're done, it will look like this (after spraying your favorite penetrating oil into the "well" as shown in the photo.) Let sit for a few days, rotating the steering wheel occasionally so the oil soaks into the entire circumference of the shaft. More oil as needed. Step 5. Drill two holes into the steering wheel hub, correctly sized for the 5/16" lag bolts to bite into the plastic. After some experimentation on another wheel, I found these two locations (1:00 O'clock and 7:00 O'clock) are the best to prevent drilling into the radial ribs (which are NOT at the same location on the bottom side of the hub) Step 6. Install the gold puller hub onto the wheel with the lag bolts Step 7. Thread in the puller's center rod and turn with wrench, as-intended. My wheel removed with some minor complaining (from the wheel, not me) Step 8. Clean up the center hub I.D. rust with a fine Dremel sanding drum; use sandpaper on the steering shaft. Step 9. Step back and savor your victory over rusty oxidation.

Little update.. First of all, thank you all for the prayers and well wishes. 5 days of continuous chemo, 2 to go. Still feel fine except for starting to lose my appetite. They tell me you bottom out a few days after chemo is done. Talk to you all later Jay

No, they related to weasels, same Family. I Found yesterday a K30 Chevy Pickup 6Cyl. Gasoline Engine short Bed shift Gear and called the Guy to reserve it, the price shall be about 3000, and it looks interesting on the Pics, nice Patina I come in a hurry and we started immediately, but 90 Km depends it‘s time and if we arrived 1/2 hour later, he told me it was already sold about 5 min. Ago.🤪 I looked at a local marketplatform via ipad, because i need a Car to go to Work however, and one of the first offers was an exact similar car at 18:00 local time - just in different Color in complete opposite direction. Same Car i had, with just 183.000 Km on Tacho except the „Luxory“ of Central Locking.👍 So Kati fired „the Big“ and we „fly in a hurry“ for a quick checkup.😎 that was my quickest checkup i did at any Car purchase, because the seller want’s to close his shop, I buy it as a extremly cheap „Winter Car“ with a rest of 3 months TÜV, than we see what happens with it, if it‘s worth to be repaired to get another 2 Years or not. If so, i will upgrade with Parts of the Old White one, i had allready prepared for TÜV, if not i keep my Parts for the next. Tomorrow i go to registration Office and get Licence Plates and in the later evening i grab the Car, and bring it home ( hopefully) I hope no troubles will occur, and it runs as expected, but I payed just a Few bucks, so i‘m ok with the situation. That was my cheapest buy in my complete Car history....😎 i dealed it for just 370 bucks, but i just need a Car immediately to bridge the Winter season and the Seller wants to close his Shop. Engine fired right up and it runs smooth like mine ( no rattle noise, what is normal known at most of that small Engines) Oil is dark but doesn’t look too bad, ( finger Test passed) Coolant was Clean and it runs smooth even at a 15 minit run. I have allready a brandnew Waterpump in spare if needed, buyed it for the White, because it dribbs a bit. The Gearbox switched smooth, and the Clutch seems good so far, the only found issue in a 30 min, checkup was a non working Handbrake, i can Deal with. guess just not correctly adjusted, or Bricks close to finish, also a known issue. No big check about Rust, because i buyed it as Wintercar for 3 Months. Let‘s see if i did right or not..😎

I have the 50” mid-mount on a work horse GT-1800 and yes it works great for scraping up packed snow. Also works well for grading my dirt road, spreading topside etc. It’s one of my favorite attachments. I also like my two stage bower, and the dozer blade, and loader, and Sweepster broom, and the....., wait? Now I cannot decide!!! 😂

A painting contractor we had in the plant to put aisle stripes on the floor once had a green tractor with a shot blasting attachment to clean the floor.

Happy Thanksgiving!! First, with wet snow I had to use the power king plow to plow up snow/ dirt! The ground isn’t frozen yet! I’m still working on the tall shute snowblower with all new bearings and partial paint for the wheelhorse.

EB the brake and clutch rods are just 3/8” stock. You could easily get a 3/8-16 die and thread a cut end for a threaded rod coupling. Use of two rods cut in different spots may be just the ticket!

Lake Sumter is in Florida but she'll always be a big Notre Dame fan. She's the one that suggested that we go there.

Our granddaughter from Florida recently signed at Lake Sumter State College with a full ride for her softball skills. Our daughter, son-in-law and her came up to visit and we decided to take advantage of a picture perfect late fall day and walk around one of our favorite places. This should tell you where. I took a ton of pictures but unfortunately I could not get many of them to download from my phone. There are many statues throughout the beautiful campus. We walked into Purcell Pavilion and the men's teal was practicing. I hope they worked hard on their 3-point shooting. A trip to the campus would be well worth it just to see the Basilica of the Sacred Heart. Pictures alone just can't do it justice. Of course I had to include this iconic structure. Even with the leaves nearly gone from the trees this is a beautiful place to visit, Notre Dame fans or not. Spending the best part of the day there with our family is truly a special memory.
