9 pointsMany years ago before I had horses to help with the work around here, I used to blow and move all the leaves to the curb for pick up. It was literally a mountain of leaves up to 6 feet high and over 30 feet in length. This was a several times event each year. Well high school kids though it was hilarious driving into and on the pile scattering leaves for hundreds of feet. Very frustrating. I could hear the screaming with joy in the car as they did it while I was inside house. I got so tired of it that one day I made a wall of piled up cement blocks with the the leaves on top of it. Sure enough here they come after school for their usual joy ride. Well the usual euphoric screaming, a real big bang , screeching tires, and all of a sudden a bunch of kids in a panic around the front of the car that needless to say was not pretty. Later found out it was the parents car too. So I casually go up there non nonchalantly and ask them if I could be of any assistance. It was really hard to keep a straight face looking at their expressions looking at me. Not a word from any of them, they got back into the car and drove away nice and slow. As I am assessing the damage to my blocks I see them coming back on the other side of the road. I waved goodbye with a big smile. Very stoic faces in the car looking straight ahead and not even acknowledging me. That was the end of the leaves joy ride forever.

7 pointsWell I have both done. I decided to set the 416-8 up to do some pulling in the stock class. Added Firestone’s on 520 rims and fabricated rear hitch, weight bar for under the machine and still need to fab wheelie bars. Here she is as she sits now.

6 pointsThe worst comment I ever got wearing shorts was after I retired from the GM Dealership and stopped by to get my 401k taken care of and the tech I worked next to for 20 years told me I looked like I was riding a chicken........

6 pointsGetting the K341 small base mounted on an Electro12 frame. Had to drill some new holes in the frame. Needed spacers found out the spacers used on K181 shaker mounts plus 3 SAE washers exactly matches the rise of a shaker mount.

6 pointsWe need pumpkins to smash like the Xmas lights! Speaking of a white Xmas how 'bout a white Halloween!?!?!? 3 to 6 in today ...we bypassed frost on the pumpkin and went right to the white stuff!

6 pointsWell I guess you can call this progress; all the Sheetmetal and the rear wheels are being blasted , a few small parts have been disassembled , and these late models REALLY have too much electrical on them !

6 pointsOne of my other toys......just a simple 350/ 4 speed / 12 bolt with an Eaton locker and 4.33's; 10 year father and son project , finished it about 7 yrs ago.

5 pointsI found that both headlights were burned out so I ser about trying to source a replacement. Managed to find a set of LED lights the same size as the glass seaked beam units. Came with a wiring harness and solenoid and the control allows on and off as well as various flash patterns which is very cool. Took a few minutes to modify the lamp holder and they are well worth the effort.

4 pointsHope you all have a fun filled Halloween. For supporters, I put a special "treat" in the supporter area just for you! As always, if the holiday theme is too much, you can go to the bottom of any page and reset your theme to "RedSquare" to have the familiar look back.

4 points“Red Square Moderator models newly discovered pair of Prototype NOS Snow Gauge shorts. Early field tests by the Ponds determined that the shorts were a bad idea when snow depths went above the cuffs... Tester’s legs stuck to the sides of the tractors and things ended badly...so the shorts never went into full production.”

4 pointsThanks for bringing this back up Kevin! @pullstart My shop is 36x24 with 10 foot 2x6 fully insulated walls. (I did a shop build thread here a while back....) I roughed in for a radiant in-floor heat system and gas-fired boiler. Finally got the boiler hooked up. Really looking forward to see how it performs this year.

3 pointsCould be the battery is weak and the regulator is heavily charging it drawing more power from the stator. Could be a corroded connector increasing resistance in the wire.

2 pointsThey weren’t practical for every day use, for sure. Kyle @fast88pu had a nice flag on his turbo rig at the big show! I’m not sure who’s Trump rig this is...
-
2 pointsSounds like you possibly have an exhaust valve not closing 100% 100% of the time. Marvel Mystery oil in the fuel may correct that by lubricating the valve stem. Garry

2 pointsi regularly add STABIL to my top offs , i buy the large bottle for 8 $ at walmart and it treats 60 gal of fuel , since regularly using this to any of the gas i use , i have not had any fuel issues at all . i absolutely will not pay big dollars for gas , my plugs are clean and my fuel mixture is very good. this just , moo , pete

2 pointsI BUY ETHANOL FREE FUEL AT LOWES AND IT COSTS TO MUCH........BY THE GALLON,,,,,,,PREMIXED OR JUST FUEL......CHEAPER THAN THE HEADACHES..........
-
2 pointsIs there an airport any where near you? The air industry knows how bad ethanol gas is and does not use it in planes. If you have even a small airport near by you may be able to buy gas from them.
-
2 pointsNo car parts around. There were 2 broken pieces of concrete laying about and some small chunks in the grass along some marks in the grass. I estimate the concrete weighs around 300 lbs. Tractor is a 77 Economy Power King 2414

2 pointsIf you notice..the hair pins are at different angles. It does make a difference which one is up and which one is down for ease of placing those hair pins.
