10 pointsWell, it's only been a year but I finally found the time to get the 854 going that I picked up at last years show. I went through it front to rear but isn't a restoration. One of the things I did was a complete rewire. I was bummed on the first test run when I saw that it was showing a discharge on the ammeter. Got the voltmeter out and quickly realized some dummy electrician hook it up backwards The drive doesn't seem to 'connect' properly so I've got some checking out to do there. I got a decent deck with it but I won't be using it. This one will mainly be a shuttle to and from the garage down the hill and for my wife to putz around.

7 pointsBeen looking for a loader for a few years now. They're hard to come by up here ......... Final found one. Waiting for confirmation that it's mine........ Fingers are crossed Oh ya........ it come with a 1054 attached.

7 pointsjust a reminder that any damage to the show grounds the club is responsible for, in the past we had people doing donuts in the grass field out back and other running their tractors through the wood and in the mud. The fair board can and will hold us responsible for this damage and could even refuse to rent to us if it where to get too bad. SO PLEASE resit the urge ( to have a little bit of fun of punching it) and tell other you see doing things that they shouldn't be doing to stop. we don't need anybody getting hurt or worse and don't need the fair board coming down on us don't mean to be a Debbie downer just trying to avoid hassles down the road eric j

5 pointsI am definitely bringing my 1955 RJ35, 1962 502, and 1961 "hot rod" 551 to the big show this year... ... and probably my 1977 C-120 "Wildfire" puller which I haven't had there at the show the last two years.

5 pointsThis evening we put a new battery in Trina's first tractor. The 657 known as Pony. This is the one we did the full restoration on last year and it has the 8 horse Briggs engine in it. I replaced the positive cable with a better one and cleaned up a couple terminals and Trina added some felt for spacing in the battery tray. We haven't moved this tractor under its own power for seven or eight months. Put gas in. Set the choke. It turned over maybe two or three times? Started right up. It now lives in the portable garage/stable with the other Wheelhorses.

4 pointsTook the 753 with me to work today so I could fix the leaking tire on the front...got ready to load it back up and my old buddy wanted to take it for a spin...I’d say by the look on his face he was having fun. Went by the storage shed on my way home and robbed the battery out of the Commando V8 to put in the C125 so I can take it with me tomorrow and fix the leaking tire on it as well.

4 pointsto the Beautiful tractor. Don't get discouraged. This certainly sounds like a fuel delivery problem. And this can happen when a tractor is loaded and moved on a trailer. In this case, I would remove the fuel line at the carb , hold it in a container and crank the engine. If you have a good supply of fuel spurting, then it is time to clean the carb. If there is not a good fuel supply, then check the fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel lines and fuel tank cap vent.
-
4 pointsWell, I had to load in the rain today and both of the 953s had to be hand winched onto the trailer. Got drenched in the process and about 1:00 pm when everything was all strapped down the rain stopped! Go figure! At any rate the goodies are all secured and I will be pulling out in the morning. I pray for Traveling Mercies for all of us.

4 pointsThe gates were open on Friday and Arendtsville has paved Main Street the whole way to the Fair Grounds. Smooth SAFE travels to all.

4 pointsBut Stevebo’s kid was able to find the little bit of mud the grounds do get left with after a rainfall !
-
4 pointsI wish you all a Nice meeting and good Weather for the Big Show. Hope i can come next year, to see what happen at your side of the Pond. 👍

4 pointsGot some new blades on the 42" deck on the C120! The old ones had about had it. Hopefully it'll cut better now! The old ones were still mediocre even after sharpening.
-
4 pointsRylee’s “Screamin’ Jimmy was in dire need of a better seat. This one I believe came on the Charger 12 that became Frank. I swapped it out and made her smile before bed time. Those girls are so excited to make it to the show!

4 pointsLike Jim said, the weather was not the best but we still had a good time. Here's a few of my pic's. Our friend Dale doing an old dealer demonstration with his John Deere. Dale's JD is running at an idle, in gear while being supported in the air on 4 Coca-Cola bottles. This demonstration was to show how smooth JD's 2 cylinder engine was. If you look close there is a rope tied to the clutch handle and staked to the ground. This way if some thing would by chance go bad, the clutch would be disengaged if the tractor would roll forward. A light duty military flat truck. Some hit/miss engines. Cross cut saw. Some steamers. @WHX24 photo bombing a pic of the Port Huron. What a ham Always good to see young people involved. This young man is on his way to becoming a great black smith. A Fordson Major giving the eliminator a tug. Having a little fun in the Garden Tractor Mafia tent. With a two piece band plus the two ladies singing the party went on till late in the night.

4 pointsDan putting the hammer down on the 30, his brother Tim on a MM & Ryan on his Super M. Tim & Ryan @Rp.wh put a little money in their pockets & a trophy for seconds. @Achto laid an egg! BTW Ryan's first time ever pulling! Sadly the rain put an end to the GT pulling on Sunday so never did get to hook up Dan's diesel Red Horse. Dan's 90 YO mom tractor sking! We did get some parades in. Saturday nite parade... dodging mud holes did not work and there were 12 of us ... the dirty dozen! Always a nice flea market at this show & scored this 301 for 40 clams. Figured a good block worth that. Had it running within the hour.

3 pointsLoaded up my 753 last night to take to work with me and fix a tire...the guys at work are always ribbing me about my little red tractors, but before loading it up to come home Heath talked me into letting him take it for a ride around the driveway. Had a heck of a time getting him off of it so I we could all go home, now he keeps bugging me to sell him one out of my herd, think I may have got him hooked.

3 pointsSorry I forgot to mention how many hours are on the tractor. The answer is approximately 550 hours. I am at work at the moment and cannot remember the exact number. Also, thank you all for the responses. Looks like I have plenty of things to check into. Very glad I joined this forum.

3 pointsGot all 5 horses I’m bringing loaded. Trying to finish the stuff I’ve sold. Then, got to pack and our clothes so we can head out in the morning!
-
3 pointsWe just got into town. Same spot same hotel as last year!!

3 pointsSOLD. 854 with 42" sickle bar mower. $700.00 I've decided to sell my 854 Show Queen. I have never used the sickle bar but it is complete and gear box works as it should. There is NO OIL IN GEARBOX. It has the travel rod and a guard so it can be driven at shows. The 854 is in good condition with just a few glitches. The rear axles leak. It smokes once in a while. Steering is a little loose. Other than that it is a good tractor. I've seen the sickle bar sell for $450 and the seat with back rest sell for $150. Sell them and you have an 854 for $100.

3 pointsPutt Putt didn’t make it on the hauler, but that gives me more room for PA finds!

3 pointsNot much of a turnout this year and what was there got wet. The weather being suckasaurus certainly didn't help. Rain & cold. Did manage to break in the new toy hauler tho. Got four tractors in no problem & sure was nice getting for getting out of the rain. Our lineups. Warning very vicious guard dog on duty!

3 pointsStill just chimpin’ at the bit to finish the hauler. My wife mentioned leaving tomorrow night to get some miles under us with the big load. Big Show 2019 Here We Come! Only two more bits of E-Track need to be checked off as done!
-
3 pointsHopefully I can unload all these NOS parts and buy more tractors...…….,good thing I got the extended cab!
-
3 pointsAh man, not that thing again. I'll fill the oil in it to the top of dipstick fill tube and watch the smoke show after you start it.
-
3 pointsWhy did they make the seat raised up in the middle? Do they make a seat that is recessed in the front for guys? 🤣
-
3 pointsFinally got the 753 put back together today and everything hooked back up. Bought a new battery for it today, and went ahead and picked up a new drive belt and muffler while I was at the store. Since buying this tractor a few weeks ago I have replaced the fuel tank, completely rewired it, new throttle and choke cables, and a few other odds and ends. Was hoping to be able to get it out and go for a ride this evening, but my ramps to get it out of the shop were over at a friends house, and got talked into staying for dinner when I went over there to get them. But I did run it back and forth in the shop a few times, and all the gears seem to work smoothly.

2 pointsFirst phase of the tare down: Engine removal. Next phase will be the hydro unit and lift.
-
2 pointsI think the rig is ready! I’m going to do a 30 mile trip real quick with full holding tanks and see what Norman thinks!
-
2 pointsAudio-tour of battlefield was good. If I remember correctly, they rent you a disk to play (and pause as your want) to take you through various events of the battle as you drive around a preset course. Stay dry inside your car, and get a history lesson. Jim

2 pointsI didn't get to much for pictures due to all the activities going on and trying to entertain my wife's family that came, had a good time, always a fun show hopefully next show I can actually take pictures
