9 pointsStarted my father daughter project yesterday. Got the transmission painted this morning The before picture...it was a well “loved” 702.....the transmission was so full of water that it was leaking out the seals pretty good. Got that yellow oily water mess out of it.....my daughter picked the colours....tractor pink rims and engine are going purple. She’s 6 so I’m glad she’s taken an interest in this hobby

9 pointsSaw this 4 wheel wagon listed on our local craigslist. It had been up for 2 days. Figured there was no way it was still around for the price. Texted the number and got a reply saying it was available. We chit chatted and the guy pulled the ad and held it 3 days til i could get there. Took it to its first show today. Did I mention it was only a cool 100 bucks? Yeah it's not perfect but its solid!

7 pointsLife can hand us some pleasant surprises at times.About 5years ago this guy showed up for dinner.He was truly feral and in all the years he has been around you could not get within 2 feet of him.We had an abandoned cat show up about a year ago and he became an out door pet.When this cat saw what he was missing he wanted to get petted too.Just so you know all the cats have been neutered and vaccinated against rabies.

5 pointsNeeding to lift my 312-8 high enough to drain transmission I built this mini gantry crane using a four ton come-along bought for stump removal. I do not have the garage, barn or shed to store another piece of equipment. Simply removing the feet will allow me to break it down and hang it on the back of the shed till it's need again.

5 pointsEric, I think my wife took that picture to prove to my ex-coworkers and her family that I really don't hate cats.For over 20years this license plate has been on the 78 Bronco I have.I use to catch crap from total strangers until I explained the truck didn't have any cats.1978 was the only full size Bronc without catalytic converters or cats for short.

I get mine from Spruce aviation. https://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/eppages/solidstatepump.php Around $35-40 and i figure if they use them in planes where fuel pump failure is big deal should be reliable enough for my WH. Oldest one is going on 4-5 years now.

4 pointsWell she’s all back together and we got a nice ride in last night! My son Lucas loved it! The new drive belt fit perfect and works perfect. Everything turnout great. We still need the pulleys for the mule drive and gotta trim the exhaust up and wire the headlights but she drives like a dream. I love how easy it steers and just works! This forum was a big help!

4 pointsWell, today (and last night) I slapped together the K321 for my (used to be) Tecumseh powered C120. I assembled it on the tailgate of one of my trucks. No shop or nice clean space for me! Hopefully I was able to keep small particulate out of it. Got it on the tractor around dark. Found a random coil and installed it temporarily, and it fired right up and sounds good! Hopefully it'll stay together for a while, considering I'd never been inside one before and the crank was used. Now I just need to find the correct bracket so that I can engage my PTO and wire the ignition and stator properly. I'm still getting over being sick, and was sick when assembling the engine and forgot to take any pictures of the process. Here's a video of the finished product. I had painted up a shroud that was on my pile and it was for a starter that had the mounting ears on the top side of the starter rather than the bottom.. Not quite sure what application would use that, but I'm cleaning up the correct shroud to put on it. IMG_6607.MOV

3 pointsI drug my mom's 65 Mustang around today with my 65 Wheelie Horse. They are both red. I needed the Mustang out of the garage so I can do some work on the engine and trans of my Ranger. I wanted it parked away from the second door, so it had to go down the hill and back up the hill at the end of the garage. Last time I pushed it up that hill I think I almost had a heart attack, so I towed it this time. I was impressed with how easily it pulled that heavy car up the hill. She didn't even think twice about it.

Tomorrow is going to be a logging day for us so we were preparing the saws and tractors and splitter for duty. Yeesss I'm sure there'll be pictures... The garden was put in by Trina's mom. They spent more time working on the chicken run. On the Cinnamon Horse I retorqued the head bolts and let it run for a few minutes and upon returning to it I noticed fuel all over the top of the tank and running down the tractor as far as the step. I changed out the cap and the problem did not go away but was better. I put a straight edge across the top of the tank and noticed a couple of low spots so I adjusted that with a hammer. Gently of course. That seems to have eliminated about 99% of the problem so we'll try it out and see how it goes. Trina took a couple of staged pictures with the flag for @fast88pu Kyle's thread. The last 90 minutes or so at the end of the day we spent some time "harvesting rocks" and grading the contour in front of the shed. She removed at least 5 or 6 inches from the top on the left side. Filled in the valley bottom a bit. Also scraped more from the hill across the front of the stone wall. The gravel that is removed from there will be used around the corner inside the chicken run or just flattening out the land beside the shed. There's at least enough in the pile to fill one of those 10 cube trailers.

3 pointsIn the past I've have quite a few experiences with feral cats. I've partnered with a great organization here in Portland called Friends of Feral Felines. There have been at least 7 feral or Barn cats here over the years. Predation is Extreme here so they don't last long sometimes but FFF says they'd rather have a happy cat for as long as it can be. I'd taken in one that supposedly causing some serious problems in the neighborhood it was in. Within a year or so he was an indoor cat. We've discussed adopting again but it isn't in the cards right now. Great job with that cat!!

3 pointsLittle over a year ago we adopted a feral moma cat and her two kittens. Took a while but now the moma cat sleeps with us and the kittens are becoming lap cats.

3 pointsIf you want a little more out of that Predator, check out the Go Cart sights. They have a ton of mods for those engines. Some mod kits are claiming 11hp + at 7000RPMs. Important note: the stock flywheel will come apart at 5000RPMs, so if you wish to reach beyond that you will need a billet fly wheel. I planned on keeping my governor so I did not replace the fly wheel. I did file half of the key on the crank down so that I could advance the timing a little. Installed a billet rod & piston, larger cam, and heavier valve springs. A few picks of my install. The belt guard I made new & the rusted it to match the rest of the tractor.

2 pointsPicked this up cheap, mostly for parts. Guy's mechanic told him it had a cracked head. It sure did have a cracked head to match the crack across the block. The poor thing looks like it was sleeved already. I still came out way ahead for the price. New tires, wheel weights, deck and blade.

2 pointsMy neighbor just bought this tiller and a snowblade for $250. He showed me today. I never saw this model tiller before! Looks like a regular Wheel Horse horizontal motor hook up tiller but has a mule drive/ mid-attach system for a vertical motor setup. The drive belt for this looks to be longer than the regular horizontal tiller drive belt too. Just thought I would post this as maybe a new item for others!

2 pointsSuccess! The no spark issue was a result of the Gunk/washdown. I let it dry overnight, and it had spark this morning. Fired right up. Does not need as much choke to start up now. High speed needle and low speed needle seem to be on the rich side - I'll tinker with those as I use the tractor. Thanks for the advice and encouragement. I went to a local car show today. There were some tractors there too. I passed up on a project tractor - $1,200 for a 1947 Farmall Cub.

2 pointsI had the same situation --- after asking around, one of the members here had a totally rusted out deck with the later spindles still good. With a little back & forth I bought them. They all mount the same so will bolt right up. Go down to the for sale section and ask in the 'wanted' ............

2 pointsHere is information I saved from a previous thread that should be helpful. If your throttle shaft has any side to side movement (more than a tiny tiny bit) you can put a bushing on the top of the carb to correct it. Kohler makes one part #2515802-5, 7/16" o.d. x 1/4" i.d. x 1/8" thick but I have never found it in stock at Partstree or other online parts places (you might find it on ebay). If you have a hardware store with all those little parts drawers you can get some brass thrust washers 7/16" o.d. x 1/4" i.d. x 1/16" thick Hillman part #58087 and stack 2 of them in that little recess in the top of the carb body. sometimes i find after installing them the throttle shaft fits a little tight, so i take a 1/4" drill bit and ream them out by hand. don't chuck the drill bit in a drill it will be to aggressive

I’m forever thankful to those men and women and will be sure to take some time to remember them. Last weekend I watched Hacksaw Ridge for a second or third time. I’m still awestruck when I watch it.
