Been working on this C195 for six months thought you guys would love to see it. What you think

Just picked up another horse today. The best part it was free.Runs good 890 hrs. That makes 4 in the last 3 months.This could be the start of something.

We had a gathering of awesome friends and family here at the house yesterday. Some are not here often. A couple had never been here. Most know of our slight obsession with Wheelhorse. I put the three that run and drive out at the bottom of the driveway near the house on display. Trina's 657 really got a lot of attention and praise. My father was enamored with the fact that all three start with a touch of the key. One of my work friends really enjoyed seeing the differences between the 8 and 12 horse Kohler engines. He's new to the Tractor obsession and has been slowly tinkering with a Sentinel brand.

You have to be careful, these tractors they are addictive & tend to multiply. Poor WHX5 had to change his name to @WHX21 in only a few short years.

I finished up in the shop today and now I'm out here horse sitting. It hit 70° today but we will be seeing freezing temperatures by mid week

Hey guys thank you for all the good commits. I do restoration for a living. I got this tractor from a client out of Peoria which he bought it out of Iowa. Engine has been all redone looking for parts for these are very hard had to make some. Tour it all the way down to the frame sandblasted everything. I will post more pictures in a little bit thanks guys

I scored some “me” time tonight, so I headed out to the shop. Doing some wiring layout and I shimmed the steering fan gear and snugged up the locking collar under the dash for good steering gear mesh.

The new guy on the block here. Found this site as I started to look for a old yard tractor for by Suburban needs. Probably the nerdiest green-horn here and will be looking for leads/information leading to the procurement of a Wheel Horse model for my humble postage stamp of a yard.

I found this tractor today that was a traid in at a local mower shop I know nothing about this modle other than it caught my eye. One owner and i have all the original literature that came with it. It has a few implements that come with it. I think the plow blade has been modified and I'm not sure if the seat is original. It runs and has a few extra parts with it. I got it for 300.00 hope I didn't pay to much for it. Your thoughts?

I'm thinking: It's a dozer blade if it pushes dirt... It's a snow blade if it pushes snow... Or for those of us who remember Logic Class in school: All WH blades push stuff Snow and dirt are stuff Therefore, all WH blades push snow and dirt... And it doesn't really matter what WH called it as long as it works!

Spent 6 hours on the tractor today. New coil, condenser, spark plug, points, and spark plug wire. Then put a good working carburetor on since the one on it was rusted shut. Took fuel pump off and had to clean it out. That was the worse part. Put new fuel line on. Put the battery in and BAM...it is ALIVE. Next hurdle is getting the loader to operate. Fluid is being pumped to valve but still not working. Will need to flush it and try again.

Well it made it in the garage finally after thawing out. Next challenge is getting it to run and loader working. Drained all fluid from transmission so will flush it this evening. Bought new coil, spark plug, condenser, and points.

Would this be a dozer or a snow plower or a dozing snow plower?

The eagle eyed will notice the wheels are different. The rears have been narrowed to take 700x12 tyres. Better for ploughing. Fit neatly in the furrow bottom. First I got a friend with a bigger lathe than mine to cut a spare set of rims. I then welded the two halves together, using the cut out section for location. Before they had been machined they'd been marked, so the two halves went back together lined up. Welded and cleaned up. Then nicely taped. There was a difference in hight of the standard size tyres and the 700's. So the fender was lifted 1" and the edge of the footplate trimmed to clear. You can also see a lower backed seat has been fitted. Makes it easier looking behind when ploughing and operating the latch that secures the plough up.

Never ceases to amaze me that with a little TLC how these girls fire right up. I've had new to me's so crusty I thought the only thing gonna make this motor run is a complete rebuild. Surprise surprise a little fresh gas and yes BAM it runs.. Nice work HC

Thanks guys. I hope so. You know how little boys are, they fall in love with something and see potential that everyone else doesn’t see. That’s exactly what Emory did last summer and has enjoyed riding this poor ole turd, er... horse ever since. It’ll be a few days before I get to work on it again, but I’ve ordered the electrical stuff I need, ags for all 4 corners, and a new seat for it. Everything I ordered said delivery by Dec. 11th. Might be cutting it close on this one, but I did last year too!😂

I’ve had mine for three years. Great tractor! Strong engine and transmission. Classic Wheel Horse design. No plastic or electronics! Spent $1,500 on it - mint condition from collector in Columbus Ohio. Worth every penny.

Pipe isn't straight through. There's another pipe inside with baffles. Here you go. No problem with stack and paint.

Just now quitting for the night. I did manage to weld the front and top of the hood together to make one piece. It was already butchered with a stick welder when we got it and the factory spot welds were broken loose. I had to weld the bottom of the hood, as the sheet metal was fatigued from flexing. I also put a strip of steel under the rear of the hood to stiffen and straighten the back. All told, it looks and fits better now. Now I dread the mud work!

All done.. venison vacuum packed and in the freezer. The cape is fleshed and salted ready for mounting later.

This was in the bag of goodies I got thought I would share it with you all.you will have to expand it to read it unless you have really good eyes.

Though the carb may look gold, it's actually silver. Nice high back seat that it came with. Foot plates with skate board top grippy stuff. Flywheel cover. And fitted. Bonnet in English. Hood in American. And the result after a year, though not the final result. More to come on mods that have been done. But I need to sort photo's first. So that's all for now. Bye!

I am ready for the winter also! 314-8 and 42 inch plow all set to go!

I finally got the aluminum cut for the fuel tank. I got the tacked together and needed to trial fit it before final welding. I had to cut out the angled portion in the bottom of the tool bin so the tank would drop straight down. Fits like a glove. I drilled the filler neck hole and the vent/feed holes and took it back to my son’s for final welding. Think I am going to do this to the 953 I have also. 👍

@Stormin thanks for sharing the build of this tractor even several years after it’s completion. I’ve always thought that it was one of the coolest looking plough tractors here on the forum. It certainly is worthy of its own thread! Are you sure that your rear tires are only 22” tall? They look to me more like 25-27” based on the fact that those sported 23” typically from the factory. You do great work mate! Whenever you plough with it, be sure to post pics in the plowing thread😉

hey nut i just got it done..............................after crazy weather and health haven't been cooperating i just got it done lol and shifts like a million dollars and would like to thank everyone that has contributed for there help and a special thanks to stevasauras for the vids and conversations to get this back in motion red square members are the best .........will say the differential was the most difficult just becuase working with just a angle grinder and eying everything 3 1/2 hr task by itself so hopefully next week end i'll have it in the tractor lol...................getting ready for a gig now and play some old rock n roll

I used a massey two prong key switch I don't remember if it has 2 terminals or 3 on the back. @WHX21has one on his 702, maybe he could look and confirm 2 terminal or 3. Been awhile, but I bought it off

@Razorback It is truly a honor and a very awesome opportunity to be able to help out in this scenario. I think it's gonna be a great time. Especially being that she grew up around here. Also I firmly believe for what it's worth to do such a simply act for someone lik her, I think it will be a great and a fun surprise for her. I love helping the older generation out, because they are all to commonly forgot about and I feel we owe them some kindness and respect for all they have done for us. And lastly I can honestly say sitting and listening to the stories and seeing the happiness that comes from them while expressing there past and life journeys is the best part. It's truly priceless and a learning opportunity that most people of my age group look over and see as a waste of time. But I will definitely keep all posted on how it goes afterwards monday!!!

My driveway is close to a 1/4 mile long and stone. We just had a foot of snow about 2 weeks ago. The ground underneath wasn't froze at all, yet the wheels rolled over the stone and didn't dig in at all. Actually I was quite impressed on just how well it worked. This is the 1st year I've used the wheels on the blower. I switched over to these because the skids did tear up the stone and dug into the ground. You've got to be careful blowers will blow stone just as well as it does snow.

I believe the single cable for the choke and throttle is correct for the GT-1100. The B&S controls below the carb have the throttle actuating the choke probably at wide open throttle. Online parts lists are too general because the manuals are shared with similar models and there is just so much they can do. For best results find an original manual where everything makes sense. A sad day. Besides and above all the dedication to public service, a truly decent man that really represented what this country is and should be. May we all now look back at all of his life and learn from it so we stop wasting ours and our children's.

I was told the same thing many many moons ago. Maybe 30 years? at the time the information was that if there was no oil filter available the dirt should be able to settle into the bottom of the pan and not be picked up by the rotating engine over and over and over again. The oil nowadays is of such good quality by almost all of the manufacturers and sellers that I'm not sure it matters much if you use non detergent or detergent. There are as many different schools of thought on this one is there are stars in the sky. I believe the current Wheelhorse / Toro recommendation is for detergent oil in all of their engines. What matters is how often you change your oil.
