8 pointsHappy Rainy Saturday, Made run up to Munson Mass and did some horse tradin with @snowhound . Got this GT1600 and GT2500 Anniversary. The 1600 runs, the 2500 needs a bit of work. 2 more Briggs powered 'Horses in the fleet! I also LOVE THE CAMO treatment on the 1600. Thanks Ed it was a pleasure. And I got outta there before Ben came at me with a kitchen knife ! Inside joke a few of us can understand espescially @Sparky Tony

6 pointsI picked this one up late last fall so I never was able to try the mower deck. Today I did. Mowed really well.

5 pointsWell I just added a new seat to my collection. I wanted to try something new just to see how it would look . Not bad but I don't know if i really like it or not. A lot of work trying to sew pleats And letters. I really like the diamond design and may do one something like my first experiment As In The Last Picture but use a 1/2 sew foam to make them stand out.. But what do you guys think ???

3 pointsI worked on some RJ three piece transmission parts today. Two drive pulley side panels. I removed old bearings and brass bushing on one plate that had a really bad axle tube brass bushing. I also painted some hubs off of an RJ tractor.

3 pointsThis is my 70' Commando V8 (VH-80 cast iron block Tecumseh 8 h.p.) This is the old girl that introduced me to the Wheel Horse family over 25 years ago. I know she's probably the less desired tractors of Horse collectors (her crankshaft runs in the wrong direction....... Vertical) she's still used to mow grass, mom nicknamed her "ole Bessy" some years ago before she passed away in 2011, mom mowed a lot with her also, I guess Bessy introduced mom to the Wheel Horse family also.

2 pointsNice pick up Mike. I like the ground shot. Bonding with your tractor.

2 pointsLove the answers and so true. I'd flush that tranny and add fresh of whatever brand(s), run it for a few mowings and change it again and then as long at it's stored inside you'll be good for years.

1 pointHere is a side by side of the early and late style "Nikki" Onan carb bowl gaskets. One corner makes all the difference! Also is a pic of that itty bittty teeny tiny ball and spring that can and will disappear if you are not VERY careful when cleaning the later style carbs with accelerator pumps. Tip of a ball point pen for reference. Ball is attached to the small end of spring and ball end goes in first. The long brass piece on the bowl cover has to go "inside" the spring when assembling.

1 pointI just changed the throttle cable and need to tinker a little more to get the rpm I need. The engine does not seem to rev like it should on the top end. Seems to labor a bit. Any suggestions? I need to check the governor and get the throttle adjusted to wot and then go from there. I mowed at about 2500 rpm

1 pointWell boys, this morning she walked right out to the Tractor and started it up and put the trailer on it and drove away like she thinks she owns it. And she didn't even ASK!! I believe this automatically gives me defacto proxy permission to buy another tractor.

1 pointI too have used the old KT series 1 on my C-175 and love it. My property is not flat at all and she keeps doing the job. Although I do wish I had the series 2 with oil filter and pump but oh well. I would wonder now and be scared that treating your tractor correctly and new oil the old girl wont know how to act. Lol

1 pointThat looks like a model 1614. 16" rear wheels, 14 HP engine with 12" fronts. Jim Dandy models have 8" fronts.

1 pointbest thing you did was drain out that slurry, don't forget to check out and probably ,replace the shift boot, cause of moisture entry. with the slow speeds that you are moving oil will not wear out, it will contaminate, and hold moisture,. that's your issue. I change mine on a regular basis, keep it clean and fresh and prevent bearing failure. mixing oils at the same spec and weight is not a problem, trashing your gear box with watered down oil is , you saved it. that gear oil had also flashed/ sheared by the double color look , you are lucky pete

1 pointLate check in due to just getting power/internet/phones back. We are in the Hudson Valley region. We had a few reportly tornados or microbursts. Thank God no real damage but nearby had a lot of down trees. Very thankful to turn generator off and enjoy the quiet.

1 pointBob, I have an ammeter that came out of my 1974 c-160. I have no idea if my ammeter works because the wiring harness was basically a butchered up bag of shaken spaghetti inside the tractor. I didn't put it back in because I am a fan of a voltmeter instead. If you can tell me how to bench test this thing I'll do it. Throw me a few bucks for postage and you can have the gauge. I'll never use it and there's no sense just letting it sit on my shelf.

1 pointWas far too pretty outdoors... to leave your indoors today.

1 pointTheir yers... for 550 and I'll throw in the rest of the tractor I gotta git to an even number. ..this bad luck with bad hubs is killing me
-
1 pointHighly unlikely that trailer will return to Minnesota with an empty spot....I just know better.
-
1 pointThought I had this 60 inch deck sold but I need to find it a new home....lots of spare parts as well. I got this halfway through rebuild and then I finished it. I wanted to see how well it would work under my GT14. It fit well but I don’t have the size property to mow with it. And too many shrubs etc. It is for the C195 but will fit tractors that have swept axles like the 520.... $550. Comes C195 with mule as well.

1 pointSweet score there Dell's ! Emory's looks to be dreaming of what Horse heaven looks like . How close are the serial numbers ? If I remehmber correctly didn't @Shynon find out he has the last one off the line . This disease we all share is a good one . The cuz a I received a phone call this weekend telling us to bring $200 and come pick up a 520 H with 1100hrs . Well both of us really didn't need or have the funds for it but you can guess what happened . There's a new tractor in the herd and we even talked him down on price . Runs and mows great . It's no beauty queen but it's a no brainier picking up a 520H for that kind of money .

1 pointI did. Drained it, flushed with diesel, put two quarts of diesel fuel in it, drove it around, drain, repeat x2, then I put two quarts of 5w30 in it, drove it around, drained. Then it was time to go to work, so I opened the bottle of gear oil, stuck the nipple down in the dip stick hole, poked a hole in the bottom, and left it. I made sure it wasn’t running out before I left, but there was just a small drizzle coming out of the bottle( it was 43 degrees out) I’ll do the second quart tomorrow. I also picked up the front of the tractor and tipped it back pretty far while I drained it each time. All suggestions I gathered from here
