First off let me thank one of my fellow family members for their kind gesture . It doesn’t go unnoticed and I will pay it forward. !!! So some of you know my story and the predicament I’m in . Seems the last two months or so things just aren’t going to plan . It’s just life and sometimes you forget that no matter how bad or hard things get there’s always someone who’s worse off . So I recently visited my old rehab facility to talk to old friends and meet some of the new clients. One of the new clients wanted to know my situation and how I handle things . When I was done she asked me if I was angry . I told her that of course I was but I also experienced every emotion possible at some point . Now use that anger and put it to use to push as hard as she could in her rehabilitation . She started balling right there and looked at my wife and said you got her to help you. At this point I’m crying too and I asked her if she tell me what had happened . She told me she fell down her basement stairs and when she hit the floor she couldn’t move. Then proceeded to tell me she laid there for four days before a neighbor found her . She told us that she’s never been married and doesn’t have any kids to help. We told her that for whatever reason you’re still here and you found this place. This is your new family and once you’re here you’ll always be no matter what . We told her that we’d be checking in on progress and she isn’t alone in her journey . I guess this whole situation made me think of what I have and how lucky I am . Things can always be far worse.

It is at least to me, not only inspiring but also sobering to read your post. Many of us simply whine about our problems, whether they are health or life related most paling in comparison to what happened to you. I could never imagine what it is like to be in such situation, but I sincerely admire with envy your attitude, strength and willingness to talk about it. Thank you for sharing those attributes with us. I hope that everyone reads your post because they will benefit from it. It is far more consequential than finding out someone has a new toy that they are drooling over.

A few days back an acquaintance told me his neighbor had a non-running Wheel Horse he wanted to find a new home for. I took a look and saw quite a bit of parts potential, same trigger ignition system as my GT-14 and the seller said the Sundstrand transmission and hydraulic lift worked. Had to jumper across the solenoid to get it to turn over, but the battery was good and verified it had spark. Had some time today and after replacing the old nasty fuel, installing a new plug, ignition switch and choke cable it came to life. Engine was a bit shaky at first, but Seafoam in the fuel and sprayed in the air intake did the trick within ten minutes. It is a '69 Charger 12 andcame with a rather nice 48" SD deck and it is one of the quietest ones I've ever used. That being said I don't know if I have the heart to part it out, in spite of an ugly black paint job it is too nice a . I don't need it, have plenty; so, what are your thoughts.

Looks perfect doing road-side mowing duty... Keep it for a beater... Older I get, less I notice what stuff looks like - only question I ask is does it work and will it fall off... (Mostly thinking of my body parts, but works for tractors too...)

Wouldn’t need an Air-Horse on that ship but the next one that passed by my window was packed with jets! You can see em all on the top deck.

Thank you for posting this. Just what I needed to read. My day hasn’t started off well but I don’t have to go all day with a bad attitude. So many times we get all wrapped up in the things around us we dont see how well we have it right in front of us. Thanks Jeff. You are an inspiration. May God bless you throughout your struggles and may you also touch many others in your journey. Take care my friend.

Jeff, you are truly an inspiration to all of us. Richard said it well. God had a special plan for you and He's smiling with his arms around you.

Jeff, thank you for sharing this meeting with us. In spite of the hardships that have befallen you the spirit you exhibit and a loving family will see you through, I pray that the young lady you met will come to appreciate the abilities she has. I firmly believe that this was not a chance meeting, God knew she needed to meet you and your family and caused your paths to cross.

I think a high-banked oval in a steady left turn just kinda creep down ½ a lane at a time. Made for retired Nascar drivers.

How will I get back down to the Barn?

Rear end was full of chocolate milk after draining that and filling it full of diesel fuel and swishing it around got most of the gunk out. Replaced axel seals thanks again to red square current parts numbers and suggestions on how to made it a breeze. So after getting the gas tank figured out and sealed up I painted the frame, lift handle amd center tower. Here is a pic of how it looked before tires and rims were painted

Bob...I am starting to think you do not have a problem. Wheel Horse with their belt drive would really act like what you have going on. I think in their manuals, they suggest that you only go up hill and not down. A little more history here would help us...like how long have you had this horse? did you mow with it OK before and now something is not right?? Did you change things (like he belt) because of what you have going on?? Tell us what you think is going on with some history of your horse.

I remember in boot camp in San Diego...the USS Enterprise came into harbor. It was so big on the horizon that you had the feeling that the earth was moving instead of the ship. I will never forget that.

@Bill Sherman I don't know of any other company that made it so easy to use different attachments on different year machines as wheel horse. There built to last and last. I use a 43 year old C160 tractor for plowing snow and the deck from my 2000 314-8 speed fits perfectly on it. Try that with a craftsman or a cub cadet. The wheel horse is one of the best built machines ever made. And WELCOME TO THE BEST WHEEL HORSE SITE IN THE WORLD.

I was in Charleston, SC back in the 90's and toured Patriots Point. The USS Yorktown is the carrier there I think and even though I know its probably small by todays standards, I couldn't believe how massive it was. It seemed so big, the steel is so thick, you just think, how in the world does this thing float!! And the sub there is so tiny, I would freek out in something like that! Randy

You should be able to find one of these most any place! My Ariens and Toro snowblowers have these, and I know some of the old snowmobiles took the same 'Indak' key. Mine looks a little different, it's from an old Toro and has their old logo with their trademark 'bullhead' on it. I treasure this old key! C-85

The great thing about Amazon is that it is a great search tool. Type in what you are looking for and it shows up from many different sources. That way you can compare prices and shipping in one spot.Just about everyone sells through Amazon so you most likely will get best price there. If you are also a prime member you get free second day shipping.

So I had to try the hood first since it is a focal point right. Might as well try my hand at restoring the most prelevent thing first correct? After the hood the tear down of the rest of the tractor started. Plenty of pics to help with reassembly.
