Hey friends, I'm new to the Wheel Horse RS. I just bought a 1991 520H. This machine is immaculate shape as show in pics. So far its runs and cuts great, and I'm enjoying it. I have yet to test the inefficiency and power when using any attachments. I am very interested in attachments and any info on attachments, what fits and works correctly and what DOES NOT fit my 520H. I look forward to new wheel horse friends and using my Wheel Horse 520H. This Machine is Not for sale.

If that lever with the knob activates the fender pan latch, it's definitely a M-I-L mover!

That's used for putting down and picking up road cones. On its down time, they are the steed of choice in two man polo. One player drIves while the other team mate swings the mallet. Very popular sport but not played often anymore due to the environmental damage from all the combustion gases. Also, head on collisions usually didn't end well for the guy in the front.

Well guys, I'm calling this my first true haul because I've never picked up this much at one time before. It's mainly all parts and some will probably be used for some projects in the future and some will be sold, but for how much there was and what the price was, I couldn't say no. So, I picked up a C-111, a 657, and a 704. The C-111 may actually be a runner. Not the original motor, but she has spark, and I sprayed some carb cleaner in the intake and got a backfire out the muffler, so she will probably run, I then put some gas in the tank and the bowl instantly flooded so it may need a carb cleaning at least. I did also notice that the right foot pan was slightly bent, along with the belt guard on the bottom, so I will have to straighten that out before I can drive it otherwise the belt will shred in seconds. The 657 has a 7hp Tecky from an Ariens snow blower on it. No Spark, but turns over, has compression, tires have seen better days, but frame and tranny seems to be relativley solid, may make something fun out of it if I get the itch! Now....the ugly child; the 704 has no hood, the tranny is frozen, and I don't really know what to do with her. She has a mower deck that may be saveable, but not too sure yet, and K241 on her, that is not seized, but has no compresion, with quite an odd carb, maybe some of you guys may know whats going on with it, but I have no clue about this style, any info would be appreciated. Oh, and it all also came with a 60" deck for a 520. It had previoulsy been restored or at least painted, and seems to maybe have never been on a tractor after being redone. No grass on the underside, really decent shape. Now I need a 520 with a swept front axle...... but all in all, for what i have into it, I feel like I made out well! It surely will keep me busy for a while.

The Summer Show was this weekend, and it was HOT! The attendance was low and a few vendors were missing as well as exhibitors. It will be a full house for the Fall show in October!

I went to an auction this weekend and ended up with this B80, snowblower and plow(sorry couldn't get the pic to rotate). The thunder storm in the middle of the auction chased away a lot of the bidders and I was able to get a great deal on them as well as a trailer to haul them home with, One of the best auctions that I have been to. The B80 had a dead battery so was not able to start it but a friend of the previous owner said that it ran fine last year when it was last used. It is in good condition and the RD deck looks almost new. The blower is in good condition but the plow will need some TLC. The lift handle is missing so I will need to track one down at some point. Now I just need to find time to get the B80 up and running.

    Nahh...wouldn't have a seatbelt.

A glowing example of a solution to a non-existent problem but.... I like it! With a hitch mounted to the front it would be the bomb for parking trailers etc and with the rear steer it could turn on a dime!

Hey Guys, Just purchased this "Barn Find" Wheel Horse 520H. It carries ID3120OEQ2 and 9058 serial number. I'm not sure but I think it is a 1989. I bought it from the original owner's family after he had passed away. He took delivery of it November of '89. I am really excited about this as it is only the second Wheel Horse I have ever owned. I even got the owners manual, parts manual, deck manual and original delivery documents. It seems to be complete with everything it was born with except the plastic headlight "surround buckets" or whatever they are called. This tractor has not run in many years and it shows just over 1000 hours on the clock. It came with what I think is a 48" deck. I have no idea what to expect as I dig into this thing as I could not get any history from the family members about it other than the owner loved it and used it a lot. I have rebuilt many Onan engines over the years so that part doesn't scare me. I bought this to power a 20" buzzsaw rig I have so it is going to be a real challenge but a lot of fun. It really would be shame for me to not restore it somewhere along the way. I gave $300 for this tractor. Do you guys think this was a reasonable price for it? Gary

The K-241 on the 704 is from a 1054 with an oil bath air cleaner. It is missing the starter generator. Just found the s/g! It's on the seat!

Well....I did a thing. I just couldn't say no for the price though. Probably the most random assortment of things I've ever gotten at one time, as well. all in all, I'd say I got some interesting projects ahead. I can't believe that someone told the person I got it from that the 60" fit on the c-111.

7-24-1992 Tires Recalled for Blasphemy A major Japanese tire maker is recalling automobile tires with a tread pattern that resembles the Arabic word for Allah after receiving protests from Islamic believers. Akira Mikami, spokesman for the Tokyo-based Yokohama Rubber Co., said his company had stopped producing the tires, and in Islamic countries was recalling or replacing them with new ones free of charge. The company also apologized for its lack of knowledge of Islam. Mikami said the treads were designed by computer to maximize driving safety and were not meant to blaspheme Allah. The tires are used mainly on Jeep-like vehicles.

Despite the fact that the tires say they are the same size, I've heard that the "deestone" ag tires run small, and give a super hard and uncomfortable ride. If I could remember who said that I'd tag them, Ill dig up my old posts and see who it was, I can say though, that I've run Carlisle All Trail tires on my 310-8, size 23x8-12, and they are not as agressive as the AG tires, but still meaty enough to for sure, help. I ran them with no chains and no weights in the winter two years ago and did okay plowing. I'll attach a pic of them on the tractor. You can find them priced relatively reasonable on amazon as well.

Interesting Mod. just to do something different I suppose. Not sure I'd want to be the one out on display sitting up front though. Maybe his wife is a bikini model? Remove that seat and add a forklift would be cool

Lane, if you dont mind me asking, what is the gauge of wire you are using for the belt brake I see there? I need to either do that or fab a new tab on the bottom of my guard on my 702. Just entered the round hood fun after fooling with later model tractors mainly

I dont know about you guys. Im 39 and the internet is baned in my house. They get an internet treat every now and then but unless its school or im alowing it, its not happening. The reason kids are the way they are is the internet. Dont get me wrong I make my living from it. I grew up on bbs and dial up. Ive see it transform to what it is today and its a time suck. I thought 10 yrs ago kids would be smarter and i would have to retool, but i dont have to and thats sad. They have no clue for various reasons. Im hanging my hat on the thoughtless internet.
