Any of you guys remember all those state license plates I collected from you guys at a couple of shows last year. They were for C-101Plowerpower (Koen) from the Netherlands to decorate a bar they were building. Well Koen went ahead and sent me a thank you gift, that I think was supposed to be here for Christmas, but they finally got here yesterday. These are really cool. Thank You Koen. Check these out...and they fit...

...January 6, 1996...after 17 years smoking a pack a day, I chose this day to run out of cigarettes. So, for me, the blizzard of '96 was a good thing...as I fought my way through, and haven't touched one since. http://www.history.com/this-day-in-history/blizzard-of-1996-begins Twenty years now, nicotine free... still going strong, and will never go back.

I love hearing all the quitting stories! I only smoked for a year or so at the age of 18/19....but my part time job pumping gas that paid me $3.50 and hour in 1982-83 (Connecticut minimum wage was $3.34) wasn't enough to keep gas in my Chevy Vega, maintain the car insurance, food in mine and my girlfriends stomach, etc etc....so something had to go. My new smoking habit was terminated....what a blessing! Mike.........

Wonder if you can use those as a mug at the show?

@AMC RULES Congratulations! I don't have any bad habits, (as I sit here about 1/2 crocked on COORS LIGHT!) Had the day from hell at work today! I never had that bad habit, but my dad, sister, brother, daughter, son, step-daughter all do! Dad always said, "When cigarettes get up to $1 a pack I will quit....Yeah, right!

I want to thank my good friends Jeff (fireman) and Vin (Vins RJ) for stopping over an helping me get this 57' running that I got at the big show two years ago. We replaced the engine that was in it with a good running K91 that I bought there the same year. Both were sitting on the shelf for the past two years. IMG_2971.MOV Click on video at bottom. Funny...I said I would bail at $2.00 a pack... and I did it too. I can only imagine what they cost now??? Cigarettes have an average cost of $5.51 with the price in most states being between six and eight dollars. This number is taken from the combined prices of all of the states but the actual numbers varying greatly with the most expensive cigarettes costing on average $12.85 (New York). Overall smoking is an expensive habit and in one year in New York it is possible to spend over $4,690 for cigarettes alone. The main reason for the extreme prices of cigarettes in New York is the cigarette tax. The state imposed a tax that comes out to $4.35 on every pack of 20. In addition to the cigarette tax there is a New York state sales tax which adds on $1.60 to the price. The cost mentioned earlier of $12.50 is just an average of the state’s cigarette prices and some researchers have found prices all the way up to over $14 a pack. Some people speculate these high prices are to help dissuade people from purchasing cigarettes and to start on healthier habits.

I have never been, or will I ever be, politically correct, a pot is still a pot, and a kettle is still a kettle And a horse is a wheel horse of course, just sayin'

I would start with a new spark plug, they can last a life time or go bad in a second.

Any pictures of it now? Sometimes a good cleaning and polish will look better than repaint. Before After

Hey all. So I finally live in a place with some land, and thus I could really use a tractor. I came across this forum while scouring google for information and wow ... you guys have got it together big time! I think I found a good deal on a WH 520-H even though its a bit of a drive from me. They are asking for 2800 and it has a KwikWay loader on it. ~450 hours on it. I just want to make sure I end up with a good machine and don't get taken for a ride. (Ha ... puns ... I make them!) I have not seen it in person only in photos and those aren't trying to hide anything from what I can tell. They are including new agricultural tires, new 4 ply front tires, and a weight box. They mentioned the KwikWay having a 350 pound capacity? Also told me it has the 20 HP Onan engine, hydrostatic transmission, a swept forward axle, hydraulic lift, gas gauge, and full instrumentation. I am finding out if they have a mowing deck. They also mentioned having non-agricultural 4 ply tires for the rear and I think they only want $100 for them it seems. So my dilemmas ... Is it worth the money? Or is it a bit too much? If they don't have a mow deck how much will I be dropping on one? Is it really good for snow like they said? I have a lot of snow, dirt, and gravel to move around here so this seems ideal if they really do work well for it like they said they do. Should I bother with the $100 non-agricultural tires? Anything else I should know before I jump into this?

All of the replys are all good info, around here that price is in the ball park. Any kind of tractor with a FEL on it around here is bringing premium price. Loaders are always in demand so they demand a good price. Sure there are deals out there for less. They are few and far between though. If it's something you need now and checks out ok and there is maybe some room price negotiations, I would not wait. Like said tractors with FEL won't last long. They get snatched up.
  36. 2 points
Assuming the tractor and loader are mechanically sound, around here it would definitely bring that with a deck, without one, it still might. But in the end, all that matters is what is it worth to you.

Craig, I think I remember that AC movie or one much like it from one of our 4H Tractor Safety classes, each month we would go to a different farm implement dealership and get some seat time and class time on the latest and greatest; then go home to reality.

Some pics... I realized that the serial number tag is not present on the new one, so I guess it'll have to assume the identity of the donor tractor..

Hi, my name is Dick Schmidt and I go by 953 nut, mainly because I'm nuts about 953s. This year my wife gave me a cool Wheel Horse Umbrella. I have one grand daughter, here she is at her first birthday party. and here we are ten years later. I purchased my first Wheel Horse 953 in 2002, already had a 1055. This past summer I per purchased a 953 project to be picked up at the "Big Show", but spinal surgery prevented me from going. Wheel-N-It (Van) and James came to my rescue and brought it to North Carolina so I could retrieve it after some recuperation. Thanks guys. and this is my membership card to the "Titanium Troopers Club"
