5 pointsIm ready for winter!! I got all of my snow attachments on today. First off is my 1993 520-H with 494 hours. Second is my 1990 212-H with around 1518 hours. Third is my 1988 212-6 with 383 hours. Last but not least my 2007 315-8 with 167 hours. I swear the 212-6 and the 315 will go through just about anything!! The 212-H with the plow will be for clean up. I think its funny how the two 200 series look so small but they can do a lot!

5 pointsFriend of mine had a Fox mini bike with the 5 horse Tin Indian. Another friend had a Kawi 75CC bike and picked on that Tecky and challenged him to a drag race. They took off with the Kawi drawing an early lead, but the 1st guy reached down and grabbed the governor lever and it was all over. Kawi never had a chance!

4 pointsMy wife asked if me if these tractors breed like rabbits! I'm a newbie started with a 59 RJ and 702 in the beginning of September two weeks later a Charger 10. Then last Tuesday a half of a 702. Dennis Thorton told me (you'll find no cure here just lots consolidation ) he was right.

4 pointsI'll throw up a couple different pictures. I have a set of patterns at aluminum factory plus a set at the cast factory. Handle or No handle. Aluminum is more less for show no weight factor 22lbs where the cast weigh in at 54lbs.

4 pointsI would think that your parents would be happy with you messing around with small engines and not acting like a lot of young people your age. they were up until engine number 10. Then there were the mowers they were attached to. Having only a small one car garage things get out of hand quick and i had to throw a lot of em away(most of em were junk anyway and i only had them to look what went wrong) Tell them you are learning a trade, instead of hanging out and doing drugs. They will leave you alone.

3 pointsYou guys! I'm still having too much fun driving Skonk around to put the plow on. I might get the rear fatties on him tomorrow.I did get Ezra finished today.

2 pointsJust got back from Scott's Meet and Greet last weekend with a couple of side trips on the way home. Indianapolis Motor Speedway Tour and of course Maker's Mark distillery tour, any time I'm in Kentucky, This was my first real Wheel Horse show and it was amazing! Many beautiful tractors. Scott and his family put on a great event. Met a lot of Red Square members and now can put some faces with some name. Everyone I met was very friendly and hospitable. Just what I expected. It was a little cold but even a wimpy Florida guy didn't think it was that bad. Still have my keister, Racing Bob. Did some trading with Jake with a 400 burb in some disarray for some 3 piece trans work. Jake and his dad, great people. If I ever do grow up I want to be like Jake. For a while it looked like I was going to be the one who came the furthest distance, but then I noticed some ladies who looked a bit out of place for a Wheel Horse tractor meet. I finally asked one of them where they were from and she said they had just flown in from California but were originally from China. Very impressive. Didn't sell my 520H wheel set or my steering wheel, nobody seemed too interested. That's when I noticed the truck bed looked empty so I bought another 400 burb with snow blade and a tub cart. Whats a guy gonna do. If we ever get a foot or more of snow in Northwest Florida, I'm set. Once, again I want to thank Scott and his family for putting this outstanding meet together, and I may be back next year! Who knows there may be someone from Australia next year since this thing has gone global! -Chris in Florida. Here are the pictures of the new burb.

2 pointsI picked up a very tidy 1983 C125 this week. It is a well travelled tractor having been sold new in the UK and then imported into Australia about seven years ago. It is fitted with a 36" rear discharge deck. The tractor model number is 11-12K801. The ID plate on the deck has lost its clear cover film and consequently the number is gone. Is any-one able to let me know the likely model number? I need an outer pulley which are a smaller diameter than my 42" decks. thank you

2 pointsBroken belt or broken key in the axle hub, transaxle pulley or engine pulley would be the first places I would look. I suppose there could be other problems with the transaxle and there are many RS members who have way more experience in that area than me.

2 pointsOk, what's the problem here?? I've seen many of those weights sell for over five hundred dollars. Yes it was on flea-bay. I do plan on doing some more weights. I'm sure there are some of you New to this hobby as I've been doing now for about 12 years maybe 13, and so as the story goes I've watched e-bay a lot, so yes I've seen expensive an then Not so expensive. It doesn't really matter if it is something you want or need to finish your project you'll either buy or you won't. The original weights are expensive Handle or No handle!!

2 pointsKC For some reason, I imagine the guy sitting in that seat at about 400 pounds. With a beer in one hand, and a turkey leg in the other! Redneck engineering at it's very best!

2 pointsWith all that snow removal equipment, no self respecting snow flake would dare to land on your property! I saw this at a tractor show today.

2 points'61 to '64 "round hoods" for me. I'm quite fond of the pewter WorkHorse models too.

1 pointYep... already went cruising through the current Ebay Rupp listings early today Van.

1 pointBob, I put a new clip on the back of the voltage regulator and when I took it out to do some work the amp meter stays on the positive side and dropped when I lowered the throttle, the way it should. It stayed that way the whole time I had it running so I'm guessing the problem is solved. I'll check again tomorrow and hook my volt meter up and check the reading.

1 pointYeah Somehow Curt Flood fell down on a fly to center field and Bob Gibson lost his 2nd WS game in 9 decisions. (Mickey Lolich was a better pitcher in the 68 WS than Gibson, who would have thought?)

1 pointHard to say, maybe a few hundred? Plus your time to fiddle with it which I am finding lessor and lessor of. Used parts are available on eBay. Complete running machines are out there for reasonable money. I have 2 D-160s and paid $500 for each. One needed a starter rebuilt and the other just needed a few minor adjustments. One came with a plow, wheel weights on all fours, a mower deck, and a cement weight on the back. The other came with a mower deck and a 3 point hitch. They both have the ONAN BF/MS twins and they both start and run great. They both are the same year so one can serve as a spare for the other if anything goes wrong. I could probably build a third with all of the extra parts I have accumulated.

1 pointRichard, is that like going fishing an stopping at a market on the way home and get fish? Marvin

1 pointI think you should check the voltage at the battery. Let's make sure it's charging. It should be +\- 14.6 volts with the motor running and revved up.
-
1 pointPush it; Blow it; Pile it up; or give it the old brush off! You got it covered.

1 pointI know, this air cleaner's decal is white. Gary, I agree. The Rupp decal isn't correct but, in my mind... those crossed winners flags seem like the perfect way to commemorate the Indy 500 Special.

1 pointNo I do not Think I have ever did that. But after sanding down the Shaft as you can see I have the new one on it was all the rust on the shaft from year of neglect. Take care. Gary B... Well I think I am all set now. I sanded down the crank with 80 grit paper. It was the rust on the crank from years of neglect being out side. Here is the new pulley. Cleaning the engine now getting ready for paint. Gary B...

1 pointThat was another idea.....making something to apply friction on the linkage out of sight in the tunnel.

1 pointThe soil conditions are nearly perfect for plowing! We made a dozen passes the other night and the garden tractors and Brinlys did really well. This is the view that you from the upper road looking down on my uncles farm... My parents house is on the far right, the plow field is in the center of the pic and comprises about 10 acres. By plow day we should have the beans off on the other side of the barn which will give us another 15 acres if needed. There is a strip of alfalfa on the far right of the picture and that is a couple of acres. That will be the place to park trucks, trailers, and any swap stuff you might want to trade or sell. These are a couple of our rigs from the other night. Dads 875 Iron Horse, the Mule (my sons 100), my cousin Russell's 100, and in the background the White Knight (my cousin Mikes). So, if you live in Wisconsin and you have never been to one of these events, come on out and check it out. I'd be happy to let you jump on my 314-8 and take a few passes! If you are set up with your horse to plow and have more experience than I, bring it out and join the fun! If you live in a surrounding state and would like to make the trip, come on over! We would love to have you take part.

1 pointIt has been a constant struggle through the years to keep my wife from knowing how many I have. Between making sure that not all are out at the same time, making sure that visitors don't start that conversation, and ensuring that the shed doors are always closed, I have been going around feeling like a criminal . Finally unexpectedly a few months ago somehow she popped the question," Exactly how many f@#$%^&*()" tractors do you have?". Let me just tell everyone that it was not an easy answer to come up with at the same time I was trying to keep my nuts from falling on the floor. It was a good thing she asked because I now feel so liberated and I can play with them all. :)
