5 pointsIm ready for winter!! I got all of my snow attachments on today. First off is my 1993 520-H with 494 hours. Second is my 1990 212-H with around 1518 hours. Third is my 1988 212-6 with 383 hours. Last but not least my 2007 315-8 with 167 hours. I swear the 212-6 and the 315 will go through just about anything!! The 212-H with the plow will be for clean up. I think its funny how the two 200 series look so small but they can do a lot!

5 pointsFriend of mine had a Fox mini bike with the 5 horse Tin Indian. Another friend had a Kawi 75CC bike and picked on that Tecky and challenged him to a drag race. They took off with the Kawi drawing an early lead, but the 1st guy reached down and grabbed the governor lever and it was all over. Kawi never had a chance!

4 pointsMy wife asked if me if these tractors breed like rabbits! I'm a newbie started with a 59 RJ and 702 in the beginning of September two weeks later a Charger 10. Then last Tuesday a half of a 702. Dennis Thorton told me (you'll find no cure here just lots consolidation ) he was right.

4 pointsI'll throw up a couple different pictures. I have a set of patterns at aluminum factory plus a set at the cast factory. Handle or No handle. Aluminum is more less for show no weight factor 22lbs where the cast weigh in at 54lbs.

4 pointsI would think that your parents would be happy with you messing around with small engines and not acting like a lot of young people your age. they were up until engine number 10. Then there were the mowers they were attached to. Having only a small one car garage things get out of hand quick and i had to throw a lot of em away(most of em were junk anyway and i only had them to look what went wrong) Tell them you are learning a trade, instead of hanging out and doing drugs. They will leave you alone.

3 pointsYou guys! I'm still having too much fun driving Skonk around to put the plow on. I might get the rear fatties on him tomorrow.I did get Ezra finished today.

2 pointsJust got back from Scott's Meet and Greet last weekend with a couple of side trips on the way home. Indianapolis Motor Speedway Tour and of course Maker's Mark distillery tour, any time I'm in Kentucky, This was my first real Wheel Horse show and it was amazing! Many beautiful tractors. Scott and his family put on a great event. Met a lot of Red Square members and now can put some faces with some name. Everyone I met was very friendly and hospitable. Just what I expected. It was a little cold but even a wimpy Florida guy didn't think it was that bad. Still have my keister, Racing Bob. Did some trading with Jake with a 400 burb in some disarray for some 3 piece trans work. Jake and his dad, great people. If I ever do grow up I want to be like Jake. For a while it looked like I was going to be the one who came the furthest distance, but then I noticed some ladies who looked a bit out of place for a Wheel Horse tractor meet. I finally asked one of them where they were from and she said they had just flown in from California but were originally from China. Very impressive. Didn't sell my 520H wheel set or my steering wheel, nobody seemed too interested. That's when I noticed the truck bed looked empty so I bought another 400 burb with snow blade and a tub cart. Whats a guy gonna do. If we ever get a foot or more of snow in Northwest Florida, I'm set. Once, again I want to thank Scott and his family for putting this outstanding meet together, and I may be back next year! Who knows there may be someone from Australia next year since this thing has gone global! -Chris in Florida. Here are the pictures of the new burb.

2 pointsI picked up a very tidy 1983 C125 this week. It is a well travelled tractor having been sold new in the UK and then imported into Australia about seven years ago. It is fitted with a 36" rear discharge deck. The tractor model number is 11-12K801. The ID plate on the deck has lost its clear cover film and consequently the number is gone. Is any-one able to let me know the likely model number? I need an outer pulley which are a smaller diameter than my 42" decks. thank you

2 pointsBroken belt or broken key in the axle hub, transaxle pulley or engine pulley would be the first places I would look. I suppose there could be other problems with the transaxle and there are many RS members who have way more experience in that area than me.

2 pointsOk, what's the problem here?? I've seen many of those weights sell for over five hundred dollars. Yes it was on flea-bay. I do plan on doing some more weights. I'm sure there are some of you New to this hobby as I've been doing now for about 12 years maybe 13, and so as the story goes I've watched e-bay a lot, so yes I've seen expensive an then Not so expensive. It doesn't really matter if it is something you want or need to finish your project you'll either buy or you won't. The original weights are expensive Handle or No handle!!

2 pointsKC For some reason, I imagine the guy sitting in that seat at about 400 pounds. With a beer in one hand, and a turkey leg in the other! Redneck engineering at it's very best!

2 pointsWith all that snow removal equipment, no self respecting snow flake would dare to land on your property! I saw this at a tractor show today.

1 pointLook at those snow blower tires!! Man I like that! ("those" might be more correct but I only assume there is another on the left side!) I'm once again assuming that you like that configuration! And while I normally snicker when I see ags on the front of a RWD tractor I'm thinking with those weights they might really help! So please, share your deepest thoughts!

1 pointNo need to insult me with that doctor/lawyer stuff Mike, I can't even put a band-aid on correctly...I use direct pressure. I knew back then that I was destined to make videos of rebuilding Wheel Horse transmissions on Red Square. I actually graduated 1st in my class at watching paint dry also...and the competition for that was stiff. So I have all that going for me. GO CUBBIES
-
1 pointAnd the teacher sat there marveling and musing, " My oh my! That Steve is really starting to buckle down and taking school seriously!" " I bet he'll be a doctor or lawyer some day" In all seriousness, sure are glad you turned out like you did!

1 pointHey AMC I was on goggle trying to find some parts getting a 1961 WH Suburban and the brake lever is broke in half. I can weld it but wondering if you had one by any chance.... thanks for your time

1 pointAll I had was a 10 speed bike. They rode those mini bikes everywhere. I was a lot taller than them but needless to say they were a lot heavier!

1 pointWishful thinking Bob. OK! Back to reality. This one is where it came from and I am working to return it to a better condition.

1 pointI'm a Red Sox fan but have a soft spot for the Cubs and Wrigley Field. Not it to mention the curse. Goats and all. Its time for it to be broken. Not to mention that while working on testing Railroad track geometry in one of my previous jobs, while working in Chicago area, one of the inspectors pulled in some favors and gave me and my friend Box Seat tickets. Was a great day and experience. One of of my better baseball memories. Only parks that I have experienced that are on par would be old Kominsky, Candlestick before they tore it down and Fenway. This year I am rooting for Cubbies.

1 pointWow! Thanks everyone for weighing in, some great thoughts all around. I don't have time to install a filter before Saturday's plow day because of everything I have yet to do but I'll definitely put that high on my priority list. I'm planning to go to a plow day in Buck Creek, IA a week from Saturday and I'll make sure that I have it completed by then. I can't wait to post a couple of pics with the new AG's on the front! This thing really has a tough look set up this way. About the video link above with the plow...I took that plow in on a trade about a year and a half ago. It is a 12" Brinly vs the typical 10". We had several 10" Brinley's in the family but this was the first sleeve hitch 12" Brinly. It is so much larger than a 10" that it is hard to believe. It takes quite a bit more power to pull especially in tough ground. It is moving so much "real estate" that it can man handle a garden tractor pretty easy given the right conditions. It can "punish" an unsuspecting tractor and bring it to its knees, therefore I named it, "the Punisher" after the comic book character. The skull sticker on the back side of the mold board is the Punisher logo! The 314 really handles it well though! Im working on a front frame weight that will add over 60lbs. Hopefully that will be enough to keep me planted. If not--I'll add more! Hopefully with more weight, my steering gear will take less of a beating! Time me will tell, but I'm looking forward to getting this thing just the way I want it for serious plowing!

1 pointAnd also check the fuses and the connections to the fuse blocks, and the big 10 pin molex connector. They all have a history of corroding to the point where the resistance increases enough to cause connectors and wire insulation to melt.

1 pointHi New wheel, There are several post on here that, refer to this issue. For starters, how old is your battery? Age could be the problem. Sometimes even new batteries can go bad. Make sure you have good, clean, tight connections with your positive & negative cables to your battery posts. Also make sure your negative cable is grounded proper. The issue I recently had was, one of my wires to the voltage regulator was disconnected. Voltmeter would read a little over 12 when turning the key on but, when I would start the tractor it would drop below 10. Charged the battery back up and saw the disconnected wire on the voltage regulator. Hooked it back on and when I started the tractor...the voltmeter went up over 14. Make sure the wires on the voltage regulator have good connection and the regulator is fasten down tight. I would assume if it's not the battery and all of your connections are good. Then it may be the regulator. There is a way to test things with a voltmeter. Don't know how to tell you to do it but, I know the info is in other posts on here that will tell you how. That's about all the help I can give you. Or another member will jump in here and be of more help. Good Luck!

1 pointI was surprised also at the extreme sale price. My question is about how many versions of the Front Weight Assembly "tombstone" they made? I have a couple original manuals on it and it doesn't show the handle style. The manual i have is 8-1221 dated 7-1969 and the picture show it mounted on a GT-14 with one or two weights. We have all seen them mounted on different wheel horses as the weight carrier can be easily fabricated from wheel horse. I assume the handle version came later after customers complaining about pinched fingers. The person that is making the reproduction ones, do they have a handle or handle less?

1 pointGot a good bit of powder dropped on us yesterday, about 11 inches or so, and I could not wait until I got home to fire up the old horse to take care of business. Don't mind that bungie cord there, lost my cotter key for the plow angle lever. I need some chains and weights for the rear, but without them it does surprisingly well.
