4 pointsFinally picked it up today. 1987 model with the M16S Kohler. It's no cream puff, but there's still a lot of work left in her! More pics to come, as it was dark and raining when I got her home.

3 pointsat first I thought - well ........ sandals, pick axe , hair and belt drives, 60 volts dc , undersize wiring and battery acid there's just way too much in the way of safety advice not to pass this on (I know its 12 minutes of your life you will not get back but you have to watch the full video to benefit from the wisdom contained there in).

3 pointsI bought my first WH at the end of last summer when I moved into a new house with a small (but hilly) yard. It's a 92-11bf01 in running survivor shape. Apparently this thing has lived it's whole life on my street but passed threw a few different hands. It made the last couple of cuts just fine last year. After a couple of carb adjustments, and a new acc drive belt it made it's first couple this year. The only things I've noticed so far are the obvious lack of a seat cushion, no third gear engagement at all, and somebody has rednecked my 95-36rx01 deck. I'd like to get a new seat for it, maybe one that sits a little bit further back as I'm a little over 6' and I'd like to get the deck straightened out. Besides grinding the welds out will I need a tensioner?

3 pointsPicked these up yesterday:C120 auto SK486 The paint isn't too bad on the 120 but everything is froze up. Motor turns over, full of mice nest. The 486 has a few chips but i Think it will polish up pretty nice.

2 pointsSince you all are throwing up your work horses, I figure I would throw another brand into the mix. (I am loyal to my brand, but I DO respect and enjoy all decently built pickup trucks. No hate here) She doesn't ever stay clean for too long 2008 I purchased in 2010. Only 2WD but I got it at a price in which I could trade it in today for over 70% of what I paid.

2 pointsGreat Horse of course! My '85 416-8 is a go-to Stallion. Kept indoors, maintained, the Horse is always ready to wo.....wo.....work! Update your post as you get workin'!

2 pointsWhat, Brian too? You guys with all your current shape GM trucks, first it was Steve rubbing it in with his 14 last year, now you guys with your 15s..... (Brian, i assume yours is a 15?) Im posting a pic of my 13 "old model' to try and fight back all you guys with your 'cutting edge' trucks..... I recommend you do the same Denny, don't just stand back and let them kick sand in our faces!!!!!

2 pointsIs that white wire from the A terminal of the switch going to the little post on the solenoid? If so, disconnect it. Only one small post on the solenoid will trigger it when 12v + is supplied. Make sure that small post is connected to the S of the switch. The other small post is not used at all. Where does that green wire to the B (battery) on the switch come from?

1 pointA trying NHL season has come to and end. But top pick has been secured! I haven't been to a hockey game in like 40 yrs. Back in the day of the Memorial Auditorium. I thought the game would be a wild one with the Sabres having nothing to lose by winning and Pittsburgh fighting for a playoff spot.but it wasn't. only penalty was Crosby for shoving the goalie Lindback and Lindback popping Crosby back. That happened early and nothing escalated after that. Best thing that happened was I got on the Jumbotron during the first intermission. The positives: Sellout crowd! Jumbotron 2 Zamboni's! 50 % off all Sabres shop goodies Pulled pork at Essex St. Pub! Crosby got blasted a few times Negatives; Not enough penalties no fights 3 players got hurt but 2 did return Too many Pittsburgh fans! subway trip down. The train was full in no time too many Penquins opening Face off Big hit! Zamboni's ! Empty net with 3 min to go Sabres thank the fans

1 pointThis was on the local news this morning. Video of a moose checking out a Wheel Horse and snowblower. http://www.myfoxboston.com/clip/11387709/moose-on-the-loose-chimps-down-drones The following video is also cool. Shows a chimp knocking down a drone with a stick

1 pointWell, it turns out that you can't get the chrome anymore. I actually called Toro direct. Only black. I'm assuming there's no chance I'll find a mint used one so I'll probably just buy the black one. I'll see how it looks. I think the black will look nice too. Otherwise, maybe Ill have it ceramic coated.

-
1 pointYes. Yes I did. 3 hours and 50 lbs of /16th 6013 rod later..... what has been seen cannot be unseen. The homemade contactor switch made from the 2x10, door hinge and Kmart flat blade screwdriver is - forgive the pun - burned into my brain.

1 pointFrom my notes the 6749 wheel is 1-1/2" wide x 5-1/2" diameter - I don't recall the source of this. Toro wants about $62 each for this one. The 2877 wheel has been replaced by Toro 110506 and is 1-3/4" wide x 6" diameter https://www.bantasaw.com/catalog/viewproduct.asp?i=&p=359 Garry

1 pointHello and The best way that I found to tighten the drain pipe is to remove the engine mounting bolts and raise the engine enough to be able to remove the pipe and elbow. Remove the elbow. Then, if the threads inside the pan are not stripped, wrap yellow Teflon tape around the threads of the first pipe and tighten into the pan. Then install the elbow the same way using yellow Teflon tape. Then install the extension pipe and cap. If the threads are stripped in the pan, you are better off finding another usable pan.

1 pointGood evening. Just thought i'd add a wishy washy photo of the badge that was fixed on to the bonnet of the RJ. Trying to catch the light just right to make it readable was awkward. I've also added it to the UK dealer section. Regards, Philip

1 pointGood evening all, I just about managed to get a semi decent photo today of the badge that was attached to my RJ58/59. It is for Garden Machinery Ltd of Bath Road, Slough in Bucks. Sorry if it hasn't come out to well; trying to catch the light just right on a faint badge was a tad difficult.

1 pointHockey teams in Nashville, Anaheim, Florida What's this world coming too. Imagine being a kid growing up a hockey fan there and having to pay to use a commercial rink to play instead of being able to use a frozen pond. That's where Hockey starts. when I grew up we had a pond across the street we played on. I even plowed the snow off of it with my 604. 20 yrs ago that pond was filled in and there is a house on the spot now.
