2 pointsMy first was a 1998 ford ranger 4.0l ohv 4x4 with 3.73 axles short bed double cab sport. I loved that truck so much and wished I would have never sold it when I was 19 years and stupid..

2 pointsHello Glenn, Thank you for interest. I'll try & share as time goes on especially if i can grab the plough or blade soon. I'm not sure when i'll get it done but i may take it out, as is, for the 1st couple of shows. There is certainly a wealth of knowledge out there which is proving very useful.

1 pointMy new 2015 work truck arrived here today... sitting in my driveway with a total of seven miles on the clock. Wanted the full size bed, as I'm tired of only being able to rustle home one at a time. The only drag being...I'm gonna need a new rear window decal, really hated to see that go.

1 pointFinally picked it up today. 1987 model with the M16S Kohler. It's no cream puff, but there's still a lot of work left in her! More pics to come, as it was dark and raining when I got her home.

I recommend you do the same Denny, don't just stand back and let them kick sand in our faces!!!!!

1 pointThat, I believe is a 48" Side Discharge. You can save belt wear by removing the belt guide at the front of the deck. A long-time WH dealer shared that hint with me.

1 pointThe rear seat pan has a slight factory crease just below the rear tail lights. When I did the bodywork I did not go crazy trying to duplicate that crease. In order to sort of hide the roundness in the pan I added a pinstripe. It does what I wanted. The hoods have a lot of paint and no decals so I decided to add pinstripes there too. I am not sure if I am in love with the stripe going on the sides of the rear fender pan. I may end it in the back corners. For now here it is. Thoughts? I also got some correct speed nuts to install the rear tail lights. The last pic show some of the hay I put down yesterday outside the barn. Hope mother nature helps me out!

1 pointSounds like you need this file for you records The D is the tractor details and the A is the attachment list which will give you all the model numbers. Here is the illustrated parts list for the 48" side discharge deck Operator manual A search of the manuals using a model number should bring up more manuals. If not let us know and will get them posted. This chart likely has the belt dimensions on the last pages of the file in two lists Garry

1 pointThe screw on top of the carb...screw it in until it "gently" bottoms out...pay attention to how many turns it takes...might be like 2 1/2 turns. Then pull that screw out...there is a little hole down near the bottom of the shaft of that screw. Using carb cleaner and a small piece of wire, clean out that hole. Put screw back in by bottoming out and the backing back out the revolutions you counted in the first place. If that hole is clogged or dirty...it will do what your horse is doing. I would also take a look at your points...should be .0020...I like about .0018 on older machines. The points control your timing on these Kohlers. Hope that helps.

1 pointWould of lasted me one mowin' too! After this winter filled with white junque, cold, ice, wind, we need all the sunshine exposure we can get. Lucky my Horses live in a heated barn, not too hot, just a nice temp for sleeping. I do open the barn doors once a week during winter so they can roar and purr for a bit, breathe a little. Grandson used one yesterday, tine dethaching. Next Grandson today, used another Horse mowing. The Horses love grass!

1 point... ... Only issue is I would have it ripped off in no time with all the trees around me ....

1 pointDo you have a Battery Warehouse in your area? I always take my old cables there and for about $5.00 per cable they make me new ones with the proper size terminals on the ends. Just measure how long a cable you need, and what kind of terminal you need on the end of the wire. You can get black or red, but I always use black for everything.

1 pointUnfortunately I never got to meet this gent. His wife said "He absolutely Wheel Horse....." He sold and collected "broken" ones. Do not final sales/distribution date, but last manual found was 1980. I was lucky enough to get into the contact group and eventually buy all his existing NOS and a few "broken" stuff. Friend pacer Bill, had a couple C-100's follow him home. Anyway in the NOS was one of his fender stick ons; I asked son if he wanted to keep and would he mind if we posted the stick on. He gave permission and a copy to post. The family is still in business, Radio Shack and fireworks. The son is a very fine fellow living in NC but still treks back here as needed.

1 pointI've only lived in Kentucky for ten years, so I don't know anything about the dealer where my tractor came from. The address is an old empty gas station.

1 pointSounds like a very cool project! Here is my dealer to add to the list: Dealer: Countywide Wheel Horse, Elkhart, IN, Date of Opening: Unknow, Closed: Maybe 5 years ago. This former Wheel Horse dealership was sold to a guy maybe 5 years ago or so and is now named Yard-N-Gard Outdoor Power Equipment. They sell Gravely, Toro, Simplicity, Stihl, Echo, Billy Goat, Ariens, and Husqvarna equipment now. You still can order Wheel Horse parts from him though since he is a Toro dealer. Hope that is what you were looking for...

1 pointI'll start off with my own hometown dealer was Lincoln Radiator, Lincoln IL. It was owned by Daris Knauer who was a family friend. I've spent countless hours talking with him about old stuff. He opened in 1959, and had the very first RJ-58 that he sold back in his showroom for many, many years. It was traded in several years after purchase and he never resold it. He had an amazing back room full of parts and older tractors. There are probably a lot of old timers here who will recognize the name and have bought parts from Lincoln Radiator. He sold out his inventory in 2008, coincidentally to someone who eventually became a member here lincolnpower38. That shop has since closed. I couldn't pass up the opportunity to own the sign when it came up on auction. It's really faded, it hung on the west side of a brick building for about 40 years. Who else owns one of their hometown dealer's signs?
