6" of snow over night and 11 degrees. Plowed the drive out at 0600 this morning and with the CREE lamps I could actually see where I was going.

This is my new toy for moving what the 414-8 can't. 1948 ford 9n with a back blade. My new neighbor wanted to charge $60 per hour of plowing this winter. So I bought another tractor instead. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

My 312-8 with 6-12s on back Don't need chains or weights

pulled the horses out today for some sunshine but all we got was a cold windy day instead sorry about the pic guys I don't understand why it keeps turning them sideways

Well, I never posted photos of the full crew to ward off the snow. We were expecting a dusting so I decided to just use the C-105. It was actually over 3". Should have realized it when the schools closed for today. But still not enough to break out the diesel. I did three driveways and now realize what a difference a 48" blade vs. 42" blade makes, plus the the convenience and speed of a 5xi. Frozen feet but had some fun! By the way, no chains, Carlisles that need to be replaced, and a 30 degree driveway at my neighbor's house. Having four suitcase weights help. Easy application of power does the trick.

I did get out in the snow today! Drive only had about 2 1/2 to three inches but I was able to use the 314-8 Wheel Horse and 42 inch -five sector snowplow for the first time! It worked pretty well and I really like the extra angles on the five sector front end. Looking forward to some more use of the 314 this winter!

Here's a lil video. I started the blower in 12" snow plow ice bank which I'd cut through earlier. So it's probably half the width of the blower. All the while towing my 6 and 2.9 y/o boys. I was really proud of how well my oldest took care of the situation and helped lil bro. I think they rolled 4x that day. A dam fine day it was! https://vimeo.com/116033089

Make sure both surfaces are clean and smooth, and use nothing on the gasket. Just torque up the bolts and you should have no problems. Just my 2¢ worth.

Last Sunday I had some things to get at Lowe's, wife said it would give her time to sweep the floors so I went to Sears first to waste time to give her some.... looking at hand tools, was considering a nice rail of 1/4 inch drive deep well standard sockets, but first I heard a rumor little while back sears is now making all their hand tools in China - so I start picking things up, open ends , ratchets , sockets , kits ....all made in China ....price is still the same .....now what - I've spent over 25 years devoted to Sears made in America line and they do this ....yep, " totally disgusted " and I left the store with nothing ...went to Home Depot bought my made in America Channel lock pliers and a rail of 1/4 inch drive sockets made in China half the price of Craftsman .....wondering on the way home how many more American jobs went down the toilet to China ..... Made in China IT MAKES ME SICK

Happy New Year, now from Michigan! We came home just in time to get ready for more cold and snow. The mighty snow guns of Lake Michigan lake effect are starting to blow. While visiting our exchange daughter who was with my family last school year, her parents brought us to a friend's personal tractor museum in Duisberg. I was able to drive the Kramer and had a blast with my girls playing on many different makes and models. I didn't even know that Porsche made tractors, they were amazing to look at and inspect to say the least.

here are a few pictures of my first collector tractor that i picked up around 16 or so years ago... it turns alot of heads when it comes out of the shed and makes it to a show. i got it out of a garage sale, at the time for my son to drive. my son is 18 yo and is building a 654 to carry on the tradition
  16. 2 points
I really shouldn't have said little guy. This thing is built like a tank. This is by far the heaviest tractor I have had to push around.. That roller inside the deck is quite possibly the greatest thing about the tractor..

Watchin' the weather. Praying for y'all in the midwest, west, cold frigid. Feeling fairly cold but nothing compared to what a lot of y'all are dealing with. Praying for your safety nonstop. The Stallions in the barn need Horse blankets even though I turned their overhead LP gas heater on. Set their thermostat on 50°F and hired the grandsons to rub 'em down and lube their dozer linkages. Put chains on, "Get ready to mount the Horses boys!" The boys have been waitin' for this since March 2014. Ugh! I hate them! Maybe not.

I'm late to the party. I'll have the 314 chained and weighted sitting in the shed. Worked well last weekend in the iced up snow banks. And a pretty awesome time towing the kids around.

My custom 10 minute tall chute conversion worked surprisingly well. Now I have to shorten the chains on the other tractor with the blade on it and fix the angle rod.

Here in Central PA, the maintenance guys came by with a leaf blower! dry, fluffy snow but only 1 1/2 inchs so far. not "plow worthy" per the Wife. I got smart, since last time she plowed before I even got home, I have since took off the blade portion....

First thing you need to do is go to Walmart or similar store and buy a multimeter or at least a test light.

If it ever snows this winter I will be using this 314 H. In all honesty I don't want the snow unless its on a weekend. Work day snow storms no good.

My Grandfather went into World War One at the age of 17. He was in the 113th Field Artillery, Battery C. He made it out alive, however his horse did not. It was shot out from under him in battle. Here is a pic of him with his brothrs in arms. He is fourth from the right on the top row. His name was Robert B. Neville Jr. He was born in 1900 and died in 1979.

Update: I am in the process of making some larger bore; 7/16" thread Lift Adjustment Knobs . They will be done and available later this month. Hope to keep the price down at $10-12, not sure until I start casting. That 7/16" size is getting hard to find in knobs & inserts. Anyone that may have purchased a 3/8" Knob from me in the past that is too small, I'll be very glad to exchange it even-up, bring it with you to one of the shows I'm at this year (or send it back and I'll include the larger one with your next order). Mentone, IN . . . April 25 Arndtsville, PA . June 19 & 20 Portland, IN . .. . August Leesburg, IN . . . October 3

Stay out of Pennsylvania you HORSE THIEFS! Now with that out of the way.............................. if you use Search Tempest and you want to look at all of Pa at one time, I put Harrisburg's zip code in, (17112), as my location then search "Wheelhorse" within 200 miles. That will cover all the state and the borders of those "other" uncivilized lawless lands beyond!

One idea I saw years ago is to put an air conditioner filter on a large box fan and run it as a dust collector while you are working. Not perfect, but it will get a lot of the dust.

I finished this tricycle just in time for Christmas, I'm really pleased with the way it turned out. It belongs to a friend's mother, she rode it as a little girl. I'm sure she'll be surprised when she see's it.... Many thanks to "Vinylguy" Terry Dennis for making the custom decal and to Glen Pettit for making the custom hand grips in the color and size I needed. Both the decal and the grips made this project turn out so much nicer than it would have without those finishing touches and both of these guys did this free of charge. I can't thank them enough!
