10 pointsI posted a couple pics about a month ago.My 702 was just a stripped frame then.Check out the pics now.I sand blasted, primed and painted the frame and front axle.Blasted, primed and painted the rims.Put on new tubes and tires.Assembled whats done so far into a rolling chassis. The seat ,rear fenders and tool box are blasted and waiting for primer and paint.Gotta combine the best parts of 2 Kohler 7 horse engines into one, clean up the engine and paint it.Been slow going.Had a cold for about 3 weeks that I just can't shake.Enjoy the pics.

7 pointsSon 'n grandson went thru the woods to gather wood for the wood stove before the chill. The '90 520-8 keeps on rolling, trailer was filled to the top and lots more. Two other Horses have dozers mounted waitin' for the cold, wet, nasty white stuff! I made the boys clean the old Stallion, a good rub down. Gotta love and care for the Horses don't we? Have you heard of Geno's prison camp? He works the Horses so hard the Stallions sleep like rocks!

4 pointsA couple weeks ago, I picked up this D180 and snow blade for $200. It doesn't run because it needs rewired and the air breather put on. The seller still has the air breather which he'll send to me as soon as he finds it. The tractor has hydraulics, drawbar and brand new Carlisle Ag tires on the rear. I would like to get it running but will need some help. First, does anyone have a wiring diagram for a D180? Where can I find a manual for this? Also, where would be a place to get parts for this? The tractor is entirely intact (minus the air breather) except for a couple sheet metal panels which I'd like to put on. Thanks in advance! -IvanW

3 pointsWell, it didn't take you guys long to crap all over this thread.

3 pointsThis is a whole different basement from the season thread Koen. The light turns on with a string, there's a bucket over in the southwest corner, and no donuts. But there might be some leftover fruitcake from last year.

3 pointsWell I am missing the kids as we are on Christmas break right now. Since I am down with an upper respiratory infection I thought it would be a good time to get this thread updated for all of our dedicated followers. Here is what we have going on..... More disassembly took place on the B-80 with much more hand sanding. They just love grabbing a sanding block and going to town! The kids were ecstatic for another generous gift from Mr. Thames Goon who is a local collector. We now have our very own blast cabinet to help speed up the process of the smaller parts. Here is Thomas working on getting everything hooked up so the cabinet is ready to use. More of the tractor was disassembled and getting ready for the next stage. Slowly but surely we are tidying up a few loose ends on the first tractor. I would never have imagined it would take this long. We haven't given up hope yet. We will persevere. Our new blast cabinet has been a welcomed addition! The kids are amazed on how much it speeds up the process. We have been blessed this past year with some monetary donations. With the generosity we used the donations to our fullest on Black Friday. We were able to get a shiny new shop vac to connect to our blast cabinet. As well as another set of tools so that all hands can stay busy. Now since we have an amazing building to enjoy, and we were all in the Christmas spirit, we thought it would be fitting to decorate with some super cool tractor themed Christmas lights! And here is how we left the B-80 as we all headed off for Christmas break. Much progress has been done and much more work needs to be done! 2014 was an amazing year for this club. Thank you to all of you that have supported, encouraged, and followed our journey! We can't wait to see what 2015 has in store for us!

2 pointsHello All and Happy New Year, It was such a nice day and the rain quit early. Temps close to 50.... So I took my kids out back on our property to use the new (to them) 125 Yamaha I bought for Xmas and I brought along my Henry Lever 22 I bought used for myself... Days like this make me appreciate the woods and where I live even more.... so anybody else have some Xmas gifts to show off? 2 pointsThe Calendar order post was pinned at the top of the Tractor section for 3 weeks. I do not get extra made. I did that in the past and ended up paying for calendars that had to be sold at a great loss 6 month's down the road. I do not make a cent on these. Geno I can't believe you missed it. You probably had 300 posts in the time the ad was up!

2 pointsIt takes more than selective hearing, and split glasses... to decipher that nonsense Scott. Is this an example of the modern English they teach in class these days... or just really bad grammer... ...yet again?
-
2 pointsCan you translate that into english for me? Cuz I've read that like five times and it's making my head hurt. Maybe I've been speaking redneck too long..

2 pointsHere's one I made up with a Brinly plow attached. 2X5/8 stock, the shank is 8" long at the "T".
-
2 pointsI want to thank all you guys again for your assistance. I put the new starter on a couple days ago and what a difference that made. Starts in a split second now. Been using it the last couple days and everything is running perfectly. I adjusted the carb and the vibration was a couple missing screws in the tin that I found when cleaning off the bench. I truly think the starter was my main problem from the beginning but I am glad I did everything else because now everything is fresh and ready to roll. I'm really excited to get to using this tractor and see how it pushes/blows snow.

2 pointsThe only "lawn game" I can think of would be "mine sweeper". The name can't be found in Wikipedia as I just came up with it. This game is played by picking up doog poop without stepping in it!

2 pointsI put fenders on mine, I think they came off a 702. Now that my kids have out grown the sulky and you'd never catch my wife on one I turned mine into a wood hauler...
-
2 pointsThis build has now taking on a more personal meaning. This is for my son mostly but figured i can get the wife to come along especially if the boy is involved. In trying to determine what/how to make the bench it dawned on me....................My wifes grandpa "pop" passed approx. 5 years ago. He was an amazing man who did so much in his life. After he passed the wife and I were given and old swing of his that had traveled from his ranch in Kansas to here in CT where is spent the remainder of its swinging life. The swing took its tool over the years, and was painted black and then red over its life. I decided this swing bench with some modification would be the ultimate tribute to "pop" and I think my wife will appreciate it as much as I will enjoy building it. I dug it out of the corner of the barn where it has collected spiders and dust for years. So I am now naming this build a tribute to "pop" in his memory and the pictures show what im starting with. The wood is still solid however the top layer is pretty soft. I sanded one piece to see what I was working with and it cleaned up nicely. I imagine the wood could be 50+ years old. It has weathered nicely.

1 pointA week or so ago Buzz made an entry on Facebook that he had a fever of 103 and his head felt like it was going to explode and he was headed for the hospital. Then yesterday on Facebook his granddaughter posted a photo of Buzz in a hospital bed with oxygen. Apparently Buzz had some kind of surgery on his back last week and they glued the incission closed. Later he got sick and had to go back to the hospital. Turns out he was allergic to the glue they used. They sewed him up and sent him home. A few days later came the fever and pain. Back to the hospital. Turns out he aquired a bacterial infection which caused the pain and fever. So now they're feeding him doses of antibiotics and will remain in the hospital until the pain and fever subside. That's my story and I'm sticking to it!!

1 pointI would use oil lite bronze bushing material for the bushings.Make the bushing OD .001 -.0015 larger than the hole in the block so it has to be pressed in.Keep in mind this will compress the ID when installed,so you will need to make the ID of the bushing at least .002-.003 larger than the new cam dia,so after install the cam will still fit plus have .001 plus clerance to turn.I'm one the the people that LIKE Tecumseh engines.

1 pointEveryone is welcome to come on over, but..... I'll warn you in advance, I might get a little loud! First time visitors that come over during an OU game get to see a different personality than usual! Are you guys excited about "reeling" me in?
-
1 pointThink I found the problem. One of my spade connectors at the PTO safety switch had a loose wire. It was the wire running to the coil and I didn't have it crimped tight enough. Put on a new terminal and used a different pair of crimpers and it started right up.

1 pointNow the fun starts...the Big 12 is in all 3 games tomorrow (2 against the Dreaded SEC and 1 with a good team from the ACC). Everyone to Brandon's house tomorrow for munchies and cocktails. The Big Ten is 2 wins and 2 losses so far. The Big 12 plays their 1st games tomorrow...and I still hate the Pac 12.

1 pointBean bags are filled with corn. I didn't name it, but I somehow knew the question would arise.
-
1 pointNow...there's a story that needs tellin'... how did it get the name cornhole Bob? http://www.diynetwork.com/outdoors/how-to-build-a-regulation-cornhole-set/pictures/index.html
-
1 pointGreat job thats using what you have , sounds like you may have grown up during the depression, as my father and father inlaw did. Whatever works. Bob
-
1 pointWe've been playing the corn hole game recently. Fun for the adults, plus we made a smaller set for the kids. Next is bocce ball. Always fun to see a bunch of old folk rolling balls around in the grass.

1 pointYummy. M first attempt at smoking ribs went bad due to my wife not telling me she bought PRECOOKED ribs that only required a 10 minute warm up. After 3 hours of "babysitting" a rack of ribs I took them off the grill, mouth watering, to bite into beef jerkey!!!!! I almost cried when we discovered they were PRECOOKED. Now I just go to Friday's or a new local place called "Bears" for good ribs. Yours look awesome.

1 pointIf everything works and the paint looks good I would say it's worth it. It looks really good from here.
