8 pointsJust a short video plowing snow at work during Winter Storm Damon Lots of ice falling with the snow. Really hard to shoot video while having gloves on and all the shifting and plow adjustments. This video is dedicated to Craig, Brian, Steve, and Jim D. Also special thanks to my wife and her amazing Chile and Brownies!

8 pointsThis may be a crazy observation...but this forum is no different than a community....obviously certain people group together...some groups get along with other groups....some people are parts of a couple groups....some people are in all groups (individualists)....others won't commit.....some want to be in a group but aren't there yet.....just like a real community....and friction will happen.... In a real community some would ignore those who irritate you (ignore feature)...... some just laugh it off or accept people for how they are...others get jerked off and argue or post negative stuff.... To me though...we should have a little conflict....jeez...we are human aren't we??? I would not like to walk around with a big grin all the time.....inside we are irritated and one in a while it gets out (like a fart)....and even if I think it may be rude....if it wasn't aimed at me (which I could care less) how do I know what was going on. Remember...we don't need a mod to close a topic....just don't post any more....

6 pointsWith over 10000 members here at Redsquare you are occasionally going to hear something that you are not going to agree with or like what is said . this issue crops up every now again , this is not a moral decline of the forum as the general behaviour of this site is outstandinding & if there is any wrong doing here there are excellent moderators here to stamp out any bad issues , that's why this forum is such an successs.

5 pointsMy father was an Army medic, from 8 July 43, to 17 Aug. 45. He is 90 plus years now and I am very proud of his service. He was in 5 campains in Europe and has 5 Service Stars. When he was drafted he was a 18 year old farm boy from western Pa. that was never more than 15 miles from the farm. He did his duity without carrying a weapon ( not allowed noncombative) and only recived combat pay for the last pay that he was in Europe. Was with the 30th , 120th Inf. assigned to the machine gunners and morters. We all In this country have a GREAT responsibility and graitude to these men and women, dead or alive for the great country that we live in. To me that was the greatest generation, not to take anything away from all the other service men and women that have served. Bob proud son

4 pointsBlond moment #1: A blonde cop stops blonde motorist and asks for her driving license. The Motorist scuffles around in her purse and can't find it. She says to the cop, "I must have left it at home officer." The cop says, "Well, do you have any kind of identification?" The motorist scuffles around in her purse again, and finds a pocket mirror. She looks at it and says to the cop, "All I have is this picture of myself." The cop says, "Let me see it, then." So the blonde motorist gives the mirror to the blonde cop, who looks at it, and replies, "Well, if I had known you were a police officer, I wouldn't have even pulled you over. You can go now."

4 pointsOk, my apologies for appearing to make light of a serious situation here on this fine forum we enjoy. That is not my intent. This thread hung a left before I made any comments at all. Just trying to help Rob and keep a light tone here. I have done my best to stay out of all this because frankly I've been here too many times before. That being said.. This all started over the price of a seat. After the seat was sold and the thread closed it should have been the end of of the negative comments, regardless of what you thought about the issue. Then the seller posted a thread about a unique custom tractor he acquired and here came that same element that couldn't let it go and started bashing him again. Then the argument got the thread locked down. Is that helping? Next it boils over into another thread about hauling help and a transaction between two guys that were doing just what you all want to see here. Helping each other. Taking that thread off topic did not help. And now here we are in yet another new thread on the subject, to rehash it one more time, all the while being told what an immoral bunch of louts we are. It must be a daunting responsibility to be the Moral Compass of over ten thousand members. I am surely not up to the task, but I will try my best to live up to your expectations. See how this whole business got blown out of proportion over the price of a seat? It's all just much ado about nothing in the end. You guys gotta remember to shake the sawdust out of your shorts at the end of the day. I started doing that a couple weeks ago and it's helped me with a couple personality issues. Have a nice evening all.

4 pointsA wise man is quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to anger. Read that in the Bible.I try to live my life that way. Doesnt always happen but for the most part it works. I'm easy going. It's easy for me to change the channel on my tv when I dont want to watch something and even easier to hit the "back" button and move on to another post. Love this forum and the people.

4 pointsIf you have a particular member that you just can't stand, just click on your name at the top right, then select "Manage Ignore Prefs", enter that members name, and you will never have to read their posts again unless you want to. I have done that and my life is much better.

3 pointsAll I care about is this.................not your barn full of Awesome tractors that I would love to have in my barn. I am going through what many of you already have. Being a father for the first time. This boy changed my life. I no longer care about what I don't have and am very thankful for what I do. My point is fellas.......there is a lot more to life then tractors. Lets stop the bickering and act like grown adults.

3 pointsI just picked up this 1995 314 hydro. Doesn't look to bad after a cleanup. I've been adjusting the linkage from the Fwd/Rev lever to the cam plate on top of the hydro unit. The 314 was real slow in reverse. Now it's better but I lost some foward speed. I'll get it. This 314 has the Eaton 1100.

3 pointsI did not see the post in question. That's fine. I enjoy reading the variety of posts to see if there is WH knowledge to be gleaned. I respond at times with a compliment. I Never offer tech advice unless I have personal experience with the subject. And I am a supporter. Felt guilty get- ting info and not paying my way. My next statement is not for any sympathy. I have attended three family funerals in ten weeks. Two were dearly loved old folks and God decided it was time. The third was a child. That can certainly put things in perspective. Things you thought were important... well you know. Sent from my SCH-S720C using Tapatalk 2

3 pointsLane in retrospect I think I should have welded in a piece of 3/8 ID tubing for support. My C series don't show that kind of wear so it must be the added weight of the lights is all that comes to mind. The brass bushing is a good idea!

3 pointsIts a sad day again. But many will never know about Dec. 7th, in years to come. As I layed around today feeling like crap. Snoozing on and off and flipping through the channels. Not ONE WORD did I hear. And then I remembered, didnt the government make notice we wouldnt have anything said about this day any more? Not 100 percent sure, but I believe thats so. Regardless, I will be one never to forget. As my father was there that day. He joined the Navy in the summer of 41, a seventeen year old kid from Elizabeth, nj. No work, no jobs, so thats what pop did. Little did he knowcwhat was to follow. As he said to me and my brother many times over the years. How lucky he thought he was. He was stationed at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. Aboard the battleship the USS Pennsylvania, gunners mate, turret 2. The main guns on the fore of the ship. well pop, I will never forget, and I will carry the banner of rememberence for you and your shipmates till I am no more. so to you dad, and all the old time sailors and servicemen that were there that day. I salute you all. You are part of americas greatest generation.

3 pointsI think its time for Sandra to start her own account. Let her be an individual. We are sick of hearing from her Jester (Geno) Let the real boss of the " show " state her own opinions.

3 pointsWell crud, Ive been on this here forum for just a bit and it seems this type of thing comes and goes and we've lost some good guys because of it. I help out where I can sometimes but most times just keep my mouth shut. I Love wheeling and dealing and consider it part of the hobby overall. Been doing it for years and yes the hunt of the deal is Fun! Some people don't understand it but that's ok. To each their own. Just wish people would think more before they post. And now I'll go back under my rock💤

3 pointsIt's not so much a "moral decline" as it is just people not getting along and having more time to gripe about it. Perhaps if we instituted a post limit per day people would think twice before wasting one, two or ten on stupid childish junk and petty arguments that don't promote the forum, answer a question or otherwise help us all out. I don't really think that's the answer by the way. We go through this crap every year or so... it's often around this time when people spend less time outdoors or in the shop on their tractors and have more time to spend online. There's a few little flame wars, some hurt feelings, usually several someones end up suspended for a week or so and then people calm down. Every year I hope that this is the year we get past all the crap and attitudes, and every year I'm disappointed. Unfortunately it's an innate function of being a social media type outlet. We want people to share their finds, their questions and generally participate, and what comes along with that are natural conflicts and disagreements. Your enjoyment of the forum in these situations depends completely on you and how you choose to either pay attention to the BS or just let it go. There's more to life than pictures and words on a computer screen. Just like anything else in life, don't let someone else dictate how you enjoy your free time. Bottom line to me... ignore people that give you grief in your life... you'll be happier.

2 pointsSad to see such a decline in member quality. When I first joined no priblems, now there are a few members who consistently just stir up trouble. So what if someone can afford to buy more tractors than you ? Don't be butt hurt. The reason we are all here is to show off all out different toys. I know the mods work hard and to a good job keeping this place ship shape, just wish some of the member would act like they aren't the most important person in the world. If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say it at all. (Bms)

2 pointsI have heard people talking about this before. Now this is a two stage, my experience is with single stage. I own both tall and short chute singles and never once had them clog but have heard plenty of complaints about them clogging also. I just picked up a tall chute and used it a few weeks ago here in Pa. The snow was only about 4 to 5 inches but as heavy as it gets. It brought down many trees and was very heavy to shovel. I figured if the blower did not clog in this , it never will. Sure enough, never clogged. I think people miss judge how to use them and having a hydro helps a lot. A few times it tried to plug up but never did. The important part is to have a smooth surface inside the blower and keep them full of snow. I think people make the mistake of taking there time thinking the faster they go, the more likely it is to clog. I find this to be the opposite. I go as fast as the motor can handle before bogging out. No clogs here. I actually wanted to put some input in on robs post under implements, I to believe wheel horse has a solid design with the single stage! Kyle

2 pointsI think joking Is fun but sometimes it does get carried away. I have seen a couple of post where someone says hey I got one and people have to immediately posts everything they got that week and even I did it to a guy not thinking. But some people might think you are just bragging so I won't be posting any more of my finds for a while.i have this week found two large collections and bought 42 tractors. If you know me you know I love wheel horses and simplicity tractors. And the fact that I can buy what I want when I want for how ever much I want gives me no right to steal a guys thunder. I love my collection. But mine means no more to me than a guy that has a rust bucket his dad used to ride him on so this being said I am going out to start working on tractors instead of talking about them. And to the person and anyone else I did this too thanks for bringing it to my attention and again I truly am sorry for stealing your thunder that was not my intent

2 pointsLane- looking good. I think I need to find me some front weights. I think it would definately help the steering when the blower is down. Rob

2 pointsAnyone who's been on this forum for more then a few years knows that we have seen waves of these issues. It comes and goes but seems to be greater when winter time hits and there's less to do. I for one have been known to have an issue here and there but always get reeled back in. For the most part this forum has had harmony. Then we've had members come along who don't offer anything "POSITIVE or HELPFUL" to the site and use it for there own personal gain or just cause problems. We love helping those who aren't tractor savvy or have a specific issue that they're just not versed in. We have a vast array of talent here that have worked on tractors for years or has specific knowledge wether it be electrical, mechanical, body, paint etc. Most of us have paid our dues one way or another. I guess when someone comes along who doesn't really help or have a need, and just wants to "show boat" or "make money", I know it gets my gall up. There are members here that don't have a ton of post but a lot of those posts have really helped people or gave out great tractor related information. Then there are members who have thousands of posts with nothing really helpful or technical but have tractor related content and that's fine too. But the "LOOK AT ME" or the "ALWAYS FOR SALE" posts I just can't take. Probably the same reason I closed my Facebook account. I don't know what the answer is and I really don't think there is one. I guess it will be up the Mods and Admins to police the forum and decide when enough's enough. Probably could use some "Sargent at Arms" Mods who sole job it is to look for these type of issues and stop them before it gets to far. Just my $0.02

2 pointsI have not been involved with posting in awhile due to ... life. lol. Still reading along ,collecting, adding and building ,which, I will have show and tell for you guys soon. But I felt the need to add to this one. This forum is very well laid back and a good group of guys and I can say that without knowing most of you. There are two train forums I belong to that are just ridden with one individual that feels the need to bash, be right about everything or even if if hes not, he will back himself into a corner and just scratch his way out till he researches where he went wrong. Then comes up with a reason why his crap answer was leading to his new conclusion. He has his nose in every post and has fouled the forum for years now. Most long time members have learned to deal with him / ignore him but rarely see any new blood anymore. Be glad this forum has no issues like that. Trust me , it only takes one person to tear it all down. Technically , he is not doing anything wrong but is like the kid saying, I am not touching you ,not touching you, not touching you. With any group, young to old, you will have disagreements, poking fun, or teasing. Its all apart of life. I like that people just post what they did today with a horse, or pictures of new toys and everyone is giving thumbs up or likes the posts. I thought awhile about becoming a support here due to my bad train forum experiences but have no regrets since. Lets keep it that way PS , sometimes a topic like this does more bad then good and starts a whole new can of worms. BEWARE...

2 pointsThank you from me also Austin. It's not hard to see AJ. I was in the middle of one last night that got the lock down trying to make peace and it's not the first one for me. I said it there and I'll say it here, people come here to relax and have fun enjoying the one thing we all love here, the Horses. My dad always told me "If you don't have anything good to say don't say anything at all." This is a great place, we just all need to learn to check our bad days, attitude, whatever, at the door when we come in here and enjoy what we have in common...
