It's not doing any good to try to stop so what the @$!#. Got a call from Todd Pitts the other day and we had been talking about a bunch of stuff so he brought it up last night. The condition of this stuff is unreal. I cleaned a spot on the tiller with Windex and it looks almost new, there is still paint on the tines. I didn't think stuff was out there in this condition. Sandra says pressure washing is out of the question unless it gets warm so no pics of the cleaned up version. We got a 72 Bronco 14 auto with hydro lift + electric clutch, tiller, aerator, 11 more decks that are stacked up outside, the WHEZ Vac setup, and 2 more plows. I have 38 decks and 21 plows now, that should be some sort of record...

Well I seen this wheel horse from the road way back up by this guy's house. I tried the old envelope trick in the mailbox Friday I got surprise call from the guy who own it. He didn't know what model it was neither did I thought it was a classic 310 from a distance. It ended up being a 1989 wheel horse HC with a 60inch deck. Under 300 hours if the odometer if is working right. I had the poker face on a got a great deal on it! Stole it for the price I got it for!! I try to deal with him more on the John Deere 410 trying to show him more interest in that tractor lol. But at the end I wanted the 520HC. The tractor would stay out all winter but now it has a barn...520hc are rare around here....

The day started out early ... just as the sun rose I was out working on my eh trailer.... have to be prepared when you venture into the territory of the he who dominates the WH market in this area ... a while back after talking with Geno about some other parts - he got to talking with me about a 520h he had .. it wasn't in the best shape but is mechanically sound - however he wanted to pull the motor for another tractor he had. A deal was struck ... I had a new project tractor - what that project is, I'm not saying yet So i've ventured to the dragons lair with my B80 & Plow (needed to try a NOS part to see if it would work before duplication) AND a 520H for a upcoming project... I know how ya'll want picture(s) .... (no comments about my 25.00 trailer please ... it'll get some TLC over the next few months Thanks Geno!! Appreciate the tractor and the time relaxing in your shop ... looking forward to the 6th!

That is a job for those who have the right set up. In the end the extra money spent will be well worth having someone else do it.

I'll tell ya, I had NO idea I had a broken spring, and if it weren't for the inspection I wouldn't have known either (until I took off the wheel). I routinely hookup 13,000 lbs to the back of this and what a disaster that would have been huh? The price of a new spring is in the $150 ball park (USA made via internet). The biggest issue with the install will be getting the shackle bolts out since I don't think that the impact wrench will fit in there with the bed on. I'm sure a little heat will help matters, but it looks like a several hour job per side. I'd have to imagine that a spring shop can do this in about an hour or so. If one side broke, I think that I'll replace both just because I really don't want to screw around with a truck that pulls heavy.

Well this topic hits the nail right on the head. I just got my daugters jeep going again after finding the broken wire under the coil pack harness. JUST told my co worker that it so far has been good for two weeks and if it will just last till after Christmas I would be happy. Not 10 minutes after that she texts me a picture and asks what the green stuff is running out of her dash on the floorboard.I texted her back a you tube video of two guys tearing the dash out of a cherokee. Again, NOT HAPPY. I cant get a break. Karl, I feel your pain.

I worked on cars for 20 years for a living and I don't even change my own oil anymore. That shows you how much I enjoyed my old profession!👎

Dino, I'm thinking anywhere from $450 to $600 for both springs. If you talk wiith the guys at the shop Karl they might even be able to beef those springs up for you. If I remember correctly you pull a fifth wheel trailer and a lil extra beef never hurt No bobody as long as it works for you. It should be right about that amount even for the Big truck like Karl's. I would definitely take it to the shop like Stevebo and others have mentioned. Craig and Geno you can keep you garage mechanics corp and piles of chevy. I've got a Ford that will run circles around both. Sorry guys but I'm a dedicated Ford fan.

You guys talk about inspections as a bad thing ?? I look over my vehicles pretty good but every once in a blue moon the shop finds something wrong & I'm thankful for that . Driving a semi in the city for a living , I can't even begin to tell you all the crap I see . Mufflers held up with coat-hangers , missing / broken rear view mirrors . wheels wobbling & some to the point where I wonder if all the nuts ( no pun intended ) are tight . I even spotted a guy with lumber in his car sticking out the window , now what if the end of that wood clipped a sign or pole or something ? I have this to say , if i'm driving home or to work one day & someones wheel ( or other part) flies off their car & into my windshield , they better make sure I'm dead . 'Cause if I'm not , someone's gettin' a whoopin' ! ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Thanks guys, I was able to get the carb adjusted, I can now apply power smoothly without the dreaded cough.
  26. 1 point
Yes, forgot all about that little glitch - I removed the butterfly and shaft from my old carb and put it in the new. Those two teeny screws can sometimes be a booger to get out what with being brass. I broke one of mine off and the other rounded so bad as to be unusable, I think? I found that they were 4-40? anyway I retapped them and used button hex heads as replacement. If the screws come out its an easy swap over...

this is my humble snow-removal entry. it was a 1973 8hp. I am half heartedly looking for a kohler k91 to power it, but at this point I have a Honda gx160 . it is also 9 cubic inches(like the k91) and is rated at 4.8hp. I have used it to move gravel in my driveway and to push large piles of yard debris, etc. it performs really well.

That is correct. Every year a different model is the feature and this year it's the Bronco 14. The feature tractors and their owner/drivers lead the parade, and all assemble in the middle of the display area for group pictures.

8yrs. ago I was in California. Then to Naples Florida, then to Ft. Lauderdale Florida, then to Cleveland. Between the moves, I also saw many other states where I was used to help turn accounts around. I had little, to no time, to be on the internet.... My days/time was consumed with turning accounts around and driving revenues. So no time to even search out a hobby forum, had no time for additional hobbies, and had no use for a garden tractor...... 2 years ago, I was asked to move, to Cleveland..... Not that I prefer Florida over a northern state.... But I sure did not want to come to Cleveland.... Florida is much to hot and muggy for my body chemistry and Cleveland is much to much of a suppressed city to hold any interest for me..... Then I see the neighborhood I now reside in.... idea comes to me, get a garden tractor, with a snow blower/ Make some additional money in the winter.... The first year I found a great deal on a John Deere 212 w/mower deck, 37" snow blower, weights, chains, and a box of additional parts... After that 1st. season I had picked up 7 customers and had made over $1,000.00 after all costs of fuel and parts were deducted. Never really started the snow blowing to make any real money, just something to do, in the winter…. By then end of that winter, my arm was so sore and stiff, I made the decision, to trade up….. Fast forward to April 2013…… I am looking at the 518 before I even join the forum…. I am searching the forum for information on the tractor… Not much info about the “xiâ€, but what is there, seems useful….. I decide to pull the trigger on the “xi†May 5th 2013, May 6th I join RS, and May 7th I made my very first log entry…… As soon as I posted the first thread, I knew I had made the right decision, on 2 things. Purchasing the “xiâ€, and joining Red Square! Only time in my life where I have gotten more than 1 thing right at a time… Several members are called “friendsâ€. I do not use that word often, because that word has gotten so “watered down†it is so far from what the original meaning of the word meant. It is a place that I can laugh, share, encourage, barter, rant (even though that may get you suspended – still worth it), and be yourself! Since joining RS in 2013, I did search out other forums… Like it has been mentioned before, the other forums do not compare to what this forum has…. It all boils down to the leadership. Leadership good, forum will be good, leadership so/so, forum will be so/so…. Leadership bad – well you know the rest…. Kinda got carried away with my response, but wanted to share how, I was drawn to RS and the results since…… Great job keeping the forum up and keeping members like me in line! Rob

Not sure what you're asking here kid. Bigger is better for me so I like the 10.5's. You just need the proper width rims. Tube or tubeless? I'll run tubeless until they give me fits then I stick tubes in them.
