4 points...and my collection continues... Almost feels like I was there, thank you so much Scott... you da man buddy.

4 pointsThanks to one of our members (thanks again , Ed) my Chor Trac has a cousin to share the stable. I also will be able to use the case of orange paint I bought before I found out the Chor Trac should be all red! It is a 1949 Simplicity Model L. Even though only two years separate them, there are engineering improvements on the '51 compared to the Model L. One of them is an extra gear (referred to as Low-Low) and the different style of frame. Things seem to come in three's for me, so I guess there is another Simplicity/Montgomery Ward/ Midland in my future. If it is a Midland, I will be able to post it at the top as Midland was acquired by Toro.

4 pointsCheer up guys. Geno suffers from OCD, Obsessive compulsive Disorder. I have a feeling this is not his first bout with this disease and he has had his hand in many other fads long before he discovered Wheel Horse. Like all OCD sufferers, this too shall pass and he will move on to something else. He simply can't help himself right now. To him, Wheel Horse Tractors are like Alcohol to an Alcoholic. When he tires of this, he will dump all those wonderful machines on the market at once and we can get them at fire sale prices. Gotta love this guy.

3 pointsI thought you might like the little surprise in the envelope! Keep those in tip top shape......they will be worth a lot of money some day!

3 pointsI can vouch for Ken as a quality member on this site. He's one of the best guys we have and my personal dealings with buying stuff from him is second to none. He's a true gentleman and a huge asset to us on here. I wouldn't hesitate to buy his used underwear if he said they were good to go....lol

3 pointsGuys- No plans for indoor facilities however there are 3 doors and a few windows going it.... Today the men were here installing rafters. They did not work yesterday. Tomorrow they should have the rafters finished and start installing the t&g decking. A week from this Saturday I have another crew coming over to help me install the standing seam roof panels. Anyone interested in stopping over I need to install the siding .... I finished all the curtain drainage around the building and then graded off the ground. I seeded and placed hay over it then rolled it. I would think that in the spring I may have to till and reseed the entire area around the barn. We are simply running out of grass growing time fo rthie year but wanted to get something growing. Here are the updated pics.

3 pointsHere are photos of my 653. It is 100% original. Even the carburetor looks like it has never been touched. Although not currently on tractor I believe I may have the original battery that came with it. Also not pictured is a never mounted plow with the hardware still in the sealed bag. Tires still have a lot of the "knibs" on them. Cas .

-
2 pointsYou are becoming the new "rickv1957". If you need some clarification, just click The old timers on here know what I am talking about.
-
2 pointsThat's a nice tractor and not to be rude or anything never every point out problems or say something is crap when the person(s) you got it off of are on the site IMHO talk to them first before you put it up for everyone to see.

2 pointsMaybe...ditto. Imagine Geno...if you only had some matching shelving units set up... imagine what that mess would look like.
-
2 pointsI'm gettin' worried... you seem to be accruing a whole lot of them half a tractors John... not planning to jump ship on us RU?
-
2 pointsI have parted out a few hundred WH tractors, there is no saving all of them, and it funds my hobby selling the parts, no I don't part out nice machines, but do part out usable ones, that is where you get good parts, a old worn out machine has little to offer in parts.

2 pointsI think you hit the nail on the head! I was the same way. Then I finally woke up and said what I am I going to with 7 plows, 5 snow blowers, etc. Thank god I finally got all of that out of my system!
-
2 pointsI'm not sure I would buy a WH from CT anymore... All these horses being passed around the way they are, i think they might get a CTD (collector transmitted disease)!

2 pointsI'd consider losing all my WHs a win if the EMP also killed all the stink bugs.
-
2 points1979 c-101 42" plow has worked for the last 35 years I see no reason to change now + 2 link chains and 80 lbs. wheel weights. This rig has moved tons of snow here in western Pa. with no problems not going to stop now.
-
2 pointsAfter pushing my old C100 up some ramps and onto the back of a pickup, I am convinced my WH could withstand a direct nuclear blast, not just the EMP.
-
2 pointsThanks guys... The plan is to clean and straighten everything out... turn it into a nice driver for the tractor shows next year. Finally got my vid up loaded to YouTube... "HD" files take forever at times to up load.
-
2 pointsWell, its off to Vegas for my daughters 21st birthday and time is a bit short. If anyones interested in a short 5 minute video I threw together of Scott's North Central Indiana Meet and Greet Have at it. Not my best work but the pressure to provide quality pictures and video to keep all of you happy is killing me! :*****: Enjoy------
-
1 pointI agree for sure. I really want to get it done and inside sooner than later. I need to "demouse" it before bringing it inside. It will be parked out on the back slab for the winter and then in the spring maybe do something with it. I still have my 49' Chevy to finish and make a runner first
-
1 pointThanks, I really enjoyed refurbishing it. Its actually out in the garden right now, as a friend of mine is using it to plow his garden. Its a fantastic machine, and a hard worker. Matt

1 pointMine's 16 hp but you should have no problem with a 12. Garden tractor pumps are small and run 10 GPM or less. Plus, you can always change pulley sizes on the pump to adapt.
-
1 pointI doubt that Jason, you probably messed something up trying to be a mechanic just like you dropped that 702 on top of its hood unloading it from your truck. I cut my Dads 1 acre yard with that tractor at least 4 times and it never ran like a pile of crap. If there was JB weld in that carb it wasn't something I did. If you got something to say to someone you better say it... And if your mad I changed my mind about selling it to you then that's too bad. I ain't know one's delivery *****.

1 pointI am saddened to hear that some of you had such a bad experience while attending Catholic School. The Nuns in my school where School Sisters Of Notre Dame, They were some of the finest women I ever met and I maintained contact with two of them until their deaths. They were like mothers to me as my own mother left when I was three. I couldn't attend Catholic High School because of the expense. When I went to the puplic school for grade nine, I was so far advnaced I skipped a grade and still was far ahead of the others. They could be very stern when necessary but I never thought they were unfair. There was no modern math and english was taught to perfection. If someone did not understand something the Nun would stay as long as it took to get that kid through the subject. I was a problem for them as I could be very obnoxous at times but they saw something in me or maybe it was because of the no mother thing, they found a way to nurture me and taught me that "I can't means I won't." I am not a very religious person so my feelings are not govorned by theology. Just a love for a group of dedicated women who took the time to see something in me that was worth saving for the future. Their values were instilled in me and when at 21 I joined the Baltimore Police Department, I carried them with me. I tried to see the other side of things and during my entire 32 years of service, I was never involved with a brutality complaint. Oh I had my share of battles, and I inflected my share of bruises and busted heads, but they were always rightous. I served many years in the Homicide Squad and my command of the Eenglish Language, taught to me by those Nuns served me well. Never had a report returned to me because it was poorly written. I just had to defend my teachers. Sorry if it offends anyone.
