Here are a few pics of my center cap that I made for my 520H. The cap is aluminum and glued in place with silicone. Thanks goes out to Glenn Pettit and Terry Denis for getting me the logo to engrave the center cap.

In the past I used a C-81 with 42 inch wide snowplow blade to keep my driveway clear. That worked OK most of the time but it was too light for the big snow storms. I also used a 416H with single stage tall shoot blower which worked OK. I now use my Ariens 1034 two stage walk behind snow blower. That thing has the power and precision to put the snow anywhere I want it no mater how much there is. It is also a little easier to maneuver around things and I prefer to be on my feet rather than sitting down at least for clearing my driveway in the city. The back of the Ariens is in one of the earlier pictures I posted on this thread. At another property that i go to on weekends I use my D-160 with the snow blow blade. That thing has enough weight to it to push almost anything out of the way. I also have a 520HC there and a two stage blower but just have not taken the time to set it up. Maybe next year. I also prefer to keep the wear and tear down on my collection and keep them out of the weather as much as I. The winters have not been that bad here during the last few years and between the walk behind at one place and the D-160 at the other place I have been pretty well covered. Here are a few of my horses in their winter quarters with attachments removed and batteries out and on tenders. One of my C-175s is in the back on the left. I got a good deal on a drive in drive out snowmobile trailer. That is also the property where I use the D-160. I keep the D-160 under a tarp for now but I will build a shed for it and a few other tractors this summer.

Nice find Craig, I like that color scheme with the black incorporated into the hood best. Unfortunately horses are hard to find in OK...

Only a little. The tractors I have with the KT17 engines do not get used much so I just keep the oil level at the top of the mark or a little over. I just start them up and run them a little every now and then. All of my workers are ONANs. My main mower is my 520HC. I did have a starting problem with one of the KT17 IIs at one time. I was over choking and really flooding it so much that raw fuel was increasing the level of the oil in the crankcase. After that experience I always check oil level regularly and always make sure the level is at the top mark or a little over. When I was flooding the engine, the oil level got way over because of gasoline getting into the crankcase. If I did use the KT17s for work I would overfill a little, check often, and try to never let the level get below the top mark. I also use straight Rotilla 30W in the KT17s and I do not run them in the winter. Here are a couple of discussions on the KT17s for some background: http://www.mytractorforum.com/archive/index.php/t-61008.html http://s6.zetaboards.com/Only_Cub_Cadets/topic/8523012/1/

We'll have to ask Karl that question, I've never used that feature. After uploading my video to youtube, the last thing I do is sign out of my account... then use the back button to go back to the video...I can then cut and paste the link into my post here... this allows viewing the video without being signed into my account. If you need any help, when you're ready... PM me, and I'll walk you through the process. You'll be suprised...ii's really easy to do.

Nice tractor there Mike If you have anymore chrome plating to clean (possibly the breather cover) you might try simichrome. Not as cheap as aluminum foil but I've done 3 wheel covers 2 applications each . I've been given a small tube by a friend to do my hubcaps, use sparingly doing small areas but so far it serves my purpose. It does not get rid of deep pits but other spots are looking real good. @bay search will show you. I've received 2 more tubes in mail yesterday . I'm sure many other products would suffice also. Thats a nice horse

Only the Series II has the oil filter option. For the Wheel Horse application the port has a cover plate on it and it is in a tight spot for a filter right behind the PTO. A remote would be the best way to go if a filter is added. As long as the oil is changed regularly no filter should be needed. If the Series I is going to be run on inclines an extra pint or two of oil should be added to the crankcase. Some recommend extra oil no matter what the application is.

I'm pretty sure the pin goes through the middle hole. The tail of the mounting carriage should be on top of the pin.

NAPA #8229 is my choice, when properly cared for they last a long time. The warranty is 12 months.

I made front & rear winch mounts for my WH. By pulling 1 pin, I pivot the winch mount forward, so I can raise the hood. The picture was taken, before I bolted an eye bolt at the top, for a pulley. Works great. In the rear I use it to raise a tine dethatcher, I use to collect pine cones and needles.

Someone said America will be a great nation until the politicians discover they can buy your vote with your own money. There are a lot of generous people in this country,I pray folks will see whats slipping away, before it is gone. The greatest country ever and people in high places are intent on making us just another country.

We moved into our house Dec.31, 1969 and that is the only year we didn't decorate for Christmas. Over the years we've added a few things. Our town has had a lighting contest for quite a few years and we finally entered it this year and won first prize. We received a nice certificate and a nicer check for $500. That will almost pay for the electric bill this month..................

Craig, I would remove the original fender pan, wrap it in bubble wrap, and tuck it safely away somewhere. Only when its working days are done and its time to be a show Horse would I put the original fender pan back on.
  42. 1 point
That would make it a "Big Box Crap Crusher".

Yep, that's the fill plug. Oil capacity is 1 1/2 Qts. I usually fill through the gear stick hole so I can get more solvent in there to clean it all up, and it goes in a lot quicker and there is less of a chance of making a mess.

Thanks, I appreciate it! I'm very sorry to hear about the very frustrating issues your having with your crawler. I hate it when things go like that! I do realize that $300 seems cheap when thinking about the necessary work to fix the old ones, but when you don't have $300 you do what you have too. Thank the Lord, I'm not going to have to go threw that, as my friend has some good used ones he's sending me. Thanks Martin, I consider that a great compliment coming from you! I'm very happy to say my friend had a set of good used cast iron spindles assemblies he's sending me! This deck would have been sitting a long time if I would have had to spend $300 on it. Things have been a little tight here lately. I will put new bearings in the spindles when they get here, as they're only $3 a piece. I got to spend a little time working on the deck today. I welded in a new baffle, as well as a few other pieces that had been broke off. This really is a very strange deck design. I have pictures of other decks to go on, for verifying the missing pieces. I know the welds are very crude, but I'll clean them up. I also rewelded around some previous repairs, that were done poorly. Thanks Matt

i have bought quite a few duffers , sold them to get what i have now . I also sold a few that i didnt really wanna sell but i had to to get to what i ultimatley wanted . When looking , be prepared for longish road trips & dont be too dispondant when you get there it wasnt as nice as you thought , one day you will get there and it will be better than you thought . those are the ones that you keep & then sell on the duffers . iI bought one thinking is was really rough because the sale picture wasnt too good , when i arrived it was virtually immaculate , i still have it

Sold a few regretted one, but I know where it is, have some that I don't know why I keep. I seem to buy junk and make it look like near new but that is Wheel Horse life on a budget. Most I ever paid for a single tractor was $200, Farthest driven was 500 miles (it was free.) Deals are out there but its a right time and place thing.

I got up to 7 and just did not have the room to hang on to them...down to 4 now and that is a good number for me. The ones I sold had Techumsehs on them... just kidding...they were good horses...they also had pull starts.

I don't know...sold my C-160 this year. Then, turned around and replaced it with another RJ, a 603, and now the 1267. So much for making a little room around here.
