Last night was the Brewster High School Varsity Football / Cheer dinner, it was also the Brewster High School Salute to Veterans. As mentioned earlier, my girls chose to perform at the Veterans Celebration over the dinner. This isn't some back woods event, but a full production to honor our veterans past and present. The evening is orchestrated with music from our award winning marching band (recently played in Dublin Ireland St. Patricks day 2013) and an ensemble of the 4 choirs at BHS. There are speeches by NY State Senator Greg Ball (Air Force Veteran) as well as many others including a Gold Star Mom who's strength is amazing. I uploaded to YouTube the finale to the show, where the BHS band and entire Chorus salutes all branches of the military. I stood during the Air Force section in honor of my father.

A couple of years ago i took my son to France to commemorate the D day landings & i would just like to say that the US Military Cemetary is one of those most beautiful places i have ever seen . If ever you get the chance to visit europe then i would highly recommend the most humbling place to visit is the US Military cemetary The picture below is of the US military cemetary in Cambridge South East England again this is also a very beautyful place with nearly 4000 US serviceman buried here THANK YOU

I have been waiting almost 2 years to finally install this dealer sign the I got from a friend and member here (Riley08). This started as a double sided, 4x6 ft sign but it would have been much to big and by cutting it down I can use the opposite side elsewhere. I mounted it on the old barn beam and used the brackets that it was hung with to support the barn beam. This weekend we are going to get everything wired up and hopefully figure out a way to get this sign to light up....

well it was the battery. i put a good battery in it and she runs,drives,hydro is good,deck spins good. now on to tear into it and clean,grease,flush everything.

It's been a fun 7 year ride!~~~~made alot of friends, met Mr Pond twice, made trip to PA twice, took TT's tatto pic and now my horse barn is FULL! Wonder what another 7 years will bring?....(note to self: empty out the barn)

Things seemed to have slowed down some the past week, but there for a while it seemed tractors were popping up right and left around here with people cleaning out their garages and sheds for winter. Despite some attempt at will power, I ended up doing my part to help others with their cleaning projects. The first of my two most recent scores is a Bronco 14. The seller listed this tractor on CL a year ago for $500. Too high to interest me, but he relisted it several times, and finally worked his way down to $200. At that price, my resistance weakened and I couldn't help but take a look. It hadn't run since before he listed it the first time, so I had to take his word that it would run and drive OK. The engine, with the starter/generator setup is obviously not original. The tag on it comes back as a Wheel Horse 10HP from '66 or '67, but there is also a sticker on it saying 12HP with a replacement spec number on it. The engine block is primer gray, so it is probably a replacement. The snow plow is a short frame that has been lengthened, and has the older style axle mount. Not pretty, but I'd been wanting a hydro tractor to play with, or at a minimum, some parts to use on a project I had in mind, so after a little haggling it found it's way onto my trailer. The second tractor I picked up was a '73 8HP 4spd. This one was a roadside-sale find that I had told myself twice I didn't need. My mistake was taking pictures the second time I went by it. After seeing the on here recently about an 8HP 4Spd, and looking again at the pictures, I reconsidered, but told myself only if it was a good deal. The seller was a nice older gentleman who told me it didn't have many hours on a fresh engine rebuild, but when the battery died he parked it in the barn and starting using a different mower. There it sat for the past 20 or so years, until he recently pulled it out to sell. He said he tried to start it and it would crank but not fire, He accepted my $100 offer, so it came home with me. It may be a little crazy, but my plan for these is to merge the two. I have been wanting a short wheel base hydro, so I'd like to use the hydro drive and lift from the Bonco, and the front frame and hood from the 8HP 4Spd. For the engine, I'm going to try to shoehorn the 12HP in there. I've done a bunch of measuring and so far the only real stumbling block I see is getting the air cleaner to fit. I'm sure there will be other issues, and having the two side by side I can see it will be more of a challenge than I first thought, but it should be a good winter project. First things first though, My immediate plan is to get each one checked out and hopefully running, so I can see what is good and what is not. Mechanically, the 8HP 4Spd is pretty similar to my 854, so that one is somewhat "old hat", but I'm sure the Bronco's hydro will prompt some questions. Thanks, Dave

November 14th, 2006 the original forum (whtractor.15.forumer.com) was established. It became immediately known as RedSquare but why? In 2008, whtractor.15.forumer.com was officially known as WheelHorseForum.com, although it still pointed to the old former site. Finally in 2011, WheelHorseForum became independent, meaning that the site is fully owned. It's been a fantastic 7 years and there's been a lot of change, but the one thing that has remained consistent is it is the best place to come and discuss Wheel Horse tractors! So... looking forward to the next 7 years!

I definitely like the separate thread for the bowl picks. Like RMC said, we might get more players in a new thread. Not everyone is a Big 10 fan. There's the SEC and many other conferences in play in the bowl games. It makes it interesting to expand your horizons and pick from teams you know even less about than the B1G teams.

No not a tractor but I wish it was. But a nice chunk of V-ribbed rubber matting. 27 feet had to be replaced at work for safety reasons. Some scuffs and a bubble was all that was wrong. I cut a nice chunk to bring home for doing step pads. Should last a long time. We get it from Mac Carr in Bulk.

While enjoying a tractor show I spotted a group of owned by a fellow who introduced himself as "Wild Bill". While talking with Bill he asked if I was a member here, I told him no, I didn't enjoy internet forums. He assured me this was the best, he was right! Thanks Bill. And thanks to all of you who have shared your intrest with us.

I can not think of any better way to show are gratitude for are Freedoms in this country than to just say to a Veteran those simple two words than Thank You. So to all the Men and Women who have paid a debt from the days of General George Washington and the Continental Army to the Troops serving today. THANK YOU

If there is some possible other deals in the works, I don't blame you for not giving out any details until all is said and done. There are some, who if they get any kind of information "specially if it's something really good", will steal that "possible deal" out from under you in a heart beat friends or not!!! Morning all, I hope I am putting this in the right section here... Although it's to do with a Wheel Horse's, it's not a Wheel Horse build.. So why have I been so quiet? Well, the build itself hasn't been too taxing.. But the filming and editing has. With so much footage to sort out I knew that if I didn't edit every evening I would never get it done... So has the time spent been worth it?? I think so.. Hard work but very enjoyable Let me know what you think Guys 'n' Girls, because your views and opinions will help me decide in which direction to take my videos in the future...

Here's. my little guy have model number tag but has serial number I'm guessing its early 60's

I can relate to a lot of this. I don't like to keep tractors around just for the heck of it. I don't have the room and with a mortgage and son in grad school the funds. All of my tractors are used. Even my show tractors. My 704 up until last winter had been fitted with a plow or back blade for snow and was the trailer/lawn sweeper tug. Got used every week. The C-145, Marvin was originally bought to be used as a back-up worker for the C-160 because of the Hydro and Hyd lift. now it's customized (Thanks Terry) ready for show but it's got the tall chute blower on it now and it will get used if needed this winter. My Power King Elvis with a loader sits the most. But is basically show ready as well and will move snow and dug a patio and hauled mulch this past spring. Now I have come up against the grain. I'm on CL all the time looking for deals that I can resell to make extra cash for the hobby and most importantly, the Big Show in PA. Wouldn't miss it for the world. Recently I came across a 73 8 spd on CL. A little more money that I wanted to spend. Tractor looked decent in the ad but the pics always seem to make them look good. I happened to look at it on my I-pad and blew the picture up. I could now see the few scratches and scuffs better but it still looked decent. Called the guy and found out he was the original owner and it was his baby and was hoping a collector would want it. Wife and I drove out to see it and it looked BETTER than the pics showed and ran sweet. I made a deal and on the way home it hit me. 73 is the feature tractor this year at the show. I would really like to bring it but I already planned on bringing Marvin and my trailer isn't wide or long enough for 2 tractors. Plus I invested a lot of show money in it figuring I would sell it and make a few bucks. Now the wheels are turning. Sold the original 2 piece seat off of it which I don't like anyway because they are too low and too close the the steering wheel and hope to sell the deck of of it before the show next year. I would get 3/4 of my money back. Now I'm scrambling for storage room. Moved a lot of things around to find a good spot for everything. It's going to be my new trailer/yard tug. The trailer I hope to extend to fit another tractor on and now the 704 is going to be the odd man out for a while. Might be the driving around the block tractor from now on. Gotta use em!

Nope. no snow yet, but Im ready for a change. I did find use for the blower though. Instead of raking up and hauling apples I just fired up the blower and blew them over the fence. A little messy but did a fine job.

I don't blame you! As the Nut said .........pull the covers and shrouds off around that motor. Make sure the fins are not plugged up with clippings, oil or a mouse nest! Also.........Check your oil and the proper weight of oil for summer operation. Most Kohlers should run straight 30w in the summer. If your Xi has a gauge for the oil pressure, make sure it is where it should be. If it has an idiot light for oil pressure, make sure it lights on the self test before you start it. Make sure you have the proper spark plugs in it. Use a high test gas since hi-test "ignites" at a lower temp your engine should run cooler. Check/clean the air filter also. Next, make sure your drive belt is free and not binding. Make sure your mower deck and mule drive is free and not binding. If all is OK there, check where that senser is on the engine to make sure it isn't blocked up. If the gauge still goes into the red, check with the experts in the electrical section on guidance on checking the functionality of that gauge. Good Luck! BooVuc Mill Hall, PA

The guy who started Redsquare, Chris, is a freind of mine. I've known him since he was 14 years old. He sent me an e-mail to say he had started two new forums and would I join up. One was a forum on Power-Kings and the other Wheel Horse. Thats how I became member #2 right behind Chris. I dont remember all the details but I think starting the forums might have been a high school project. I think the Power-King forum folded but THE WHEEL HORSE FORUM LIVES ON!!!! Mike.........
