"hey Joe" there is still whiskey in the jar. How about a little Neil Young with Crazy Horse...I know...you either like Neil Young or you do not, but when Crazy Horse is playing with him...unbelievable. I always joke that the closest I get to country is Neil Young....this is Country Home. The Country Crowd may even like this. "I hate to go down to the flats...cause I can't park on a hill."

Well, I made a purchase today and will pick the goodies up later this weekend, and YES, I have pictures. It is a 1974 D-200 (Kohler engine) with a FEL, a push blade that fits on the FEL, a 3 pt grader blade, a tiller, and a 60" rear mower. Oh, there is also a little sun canopy for the FEL. The tractor and the FEL need a little work, but that will keep me occupied this winter. My wife actually said we, yes WE should do a complete dissasembly, repair what-ever, have it (professionally) painted and re-assemble. What do you think all of this is worth?

Smear a good gob of grease on those needle bearings and they'll never fall out again. Its a trick my brother and I use when rebuilding trannys and has served us well.....

I'm a happy camper, I sprayed the primer tonight and some of it that I only put 2 coats on was ready to sand, the rest was close, I'll sand it all tomorrow, then I dug out that little pile of stuff you always have when tearing a tractor apart you know the stuff that you say I'll get to that in a min. or tomorrow, and the pile grows with small odd stuff, or the things you really don't want to do, well I got 90% of it all sanded or prep ed for paint, some of the little stuff got painted black or rattle can red. I hope like hell they appreciate the work I'm doing just so they have a decent looking ride for the show....... I know they will but you know you think that or say it out loud to your self as your plugging away. This is FAR from a restore, but it will be a good looking, worker tractor when done.

Well I picked some auto primer today, it's cheap but is a 2 part epoxy, I've used it before, it fills and sands good, I'm in to eat dinner but after that I'm going to spray some on the parts, I have spent the last 1.5 hours repreping the parts, I was a bit POed lastnight taking the junk primer off, and I scratched the factory paint I had left on it, and in some spots I gouged the metal, oops!! well I sanded most all that out, now to wipe it down and spray it all again, I should be putting color on tonight not re priming.

Very Nice Tractor! I can't really tell by picture 2 but it looks like the mower drive belt is going to the wrong groove on the PTO. It should go on the inside groove. I would hate to see something happen to it. May not matter Just Saying!

Hi AMC, Yeah I remember Mark. Had a 1973 AMX. Wish it was still in the garage. A friend in the next town over has a 74 same color as my 73, only his is a 401 4 speed, mine was automatic. Those were the days......

Jake, I know it sucks, but that has been the law for quite a few years now. Unfortunately it is not that "they" think you are using the paint for the wrong reasons but more that too many people already have! I suffer from allergies, for years it was not something that really caused me issues because there were these cool little red pills that made it go away quickly and without problem. THEN, someone discovered how to use those little red pills to make methamphetamine and now you cannot get those little red pills! Allergies now cause alot of problems and suffering in my life! The new pills do not work! But...they can still make meth out of them? It is not the stores fault, it is not the lawmakers fault, it is the law breakers fault! Something you should get used to in life Jake is that all to often in life society pays the consequences for the actions and mis-deeds of a few. I am not saying it is right, just that it is how it is!
