The spring and detent balls are located in between the 2 shift rails..If you pry the rails up slowly they will come out of the case..but be careful those little 1/4 ball bearings tend to dissappear..lol. the plug you drilled out is just for re-assembly. The high/low shifter will be belowall the other gears.. You will see this once you have everything dis-assembled..I almost bet you high/low shifter fork is bent or broke off this is a common problem with the High/low trannys.. MIKE

Jim I'll hold off on pics till we get some of the outside property renavated It will be nice to have a larger playground PERIOD! Um...more property = bigger tractors. No the old house is still up for sale, I'm afraid it will be awhile in todays market. If anyone is interested in a remodeled home in Millersburg, IN...I may leave some red in the shed for the right buyer.

I have always told my wife that if we ever move , just leave everything in the old house and buy everything new for the new house.

Jeez, Why don't you just go to your cut-off saw, lop it off and get it over with . I too have seen the dreaded exploding wheel make a new spot for the excess blood in my body to escape from. Also, some helpful info for ya Matt. You can safely store those extra shards of grinding material in your finger for years (a little something to look forward to). And, when they work their way to the surface? They will lay just under the skin and every time you touch it on something? They will send that little stinging reminder of how they got there in the first place. Won't that be fun? . I too, wear gloves (welding). Yesterday, I was drilling a piece of stock, had it chucked up in the drill press. It was going fine and all of a sudden the drill bit broke. The end actually shot into the cuff on my welding glove and penetrated it. That would have been my forearm .Gloves and a face shield for me thanks. Hope you heal up fast. Pat

Wow! Looks like a gutted deer. (Maybe it doesn't since it's been so long since I had to gut one)! Looks like I'll be wearing my leather gloves when I grind for awhile!

I use a 36" SD on my 310-8. For me, it's perfect for it as a 42" in higher grass makes it work harder than I want it too. Not an issue if you keep your grass cut down on a regular basis. I'm amazed you can't find mower decks for your tractors. Those tractors are the standard bearers that fit every C-series, 300, 400 and 500 series Wheelhorse for decades. I have an extra 42" but since I put some welding into it and new spindles, I'm holding onto it just in case. I would constantly check your local Craigslists and classified sites and newspapers. I got rid of two decks last year locally because I was tired of moving them around. Good Luck and I almost forgot! :WRS:

Ya know, some of tire sellers and tire manufacturers must think they're dealing with a bunch of morons.Like no one is going to notice any difference in the tire size and quality. The Squaw even noticed they looked crappy. The business's that pull this inferior crap deserve to go out of business.Them selling these crappy tires didn't lower the price to the consumer one nickle. It must look good for the business owner. At least for now. When sales fall off to almost nothing, they're gonna be scratching their heads and saying WTF.OK done ranting. Thanks for reading this. Amen . . I'm anal about tire size an looks and that pisses me off I'd send them back with picture and tell them you want reimbursed for the shipping both ways . . that's BS. Show them their junk doesn't match the specs. Thanks for posting, now I know what brand is not getting MY $$.
