I'm looking for a serviceable 36" RD deck. (central NC, but traveling to western PA soon and occasionally thereafter) I would likely use it with my c-160 or 165 which would be a 05-36MR03. I have a very good (reconditioned, solid, smooth turning) 48" SD (05-48MS03) to trade if that is of interest.

I got a whole pile of 36 RDs. many with new parts and very serviceable I'd trade for that 48.

If you wasn't so far.

I put it under my c-165 yesterday for the first time and mowed with it today to test it. Really nice but it just doesn't work on my property with 42" gates between the front and back yards :(.

Peacemaker Jack was looking for a 48 and may have some 36's. He's not on much but I'll see him this weekend. He might get to your area in his ministry travels too.

    Just a thought.

    A 160 should really spin a 36.

had a 36 rd on a C165 --- wish i still had it - - terrific little mower - - makes great cut on lawn -- I just got another old 36 that i have stripped down -- about to go to sandblaster to clean off rust then needs 2 new spindles - - then prime and paint - - they seem to be hard to find -- especially without rust holes in shells

The 48" I have is really smooth. I had to replace the center spindle and pulley (NOS). It was loose for the PO for some reason and fouled the keyway. Blades line up perfectly. The chute was cut square at some point as some like to do and I'm indifferent about that but it does dispense the clippings well that way. There was some thinning near the chute and one spot on the left side rusted through that I built up with two layers of 8# woven cloth and epoxy so it's not unmolested but I would be critical to give it a B+ now that I've tested it. I put a new Huskee belt on it this weekend so it's ready to go.
