    The 502 was Tecky powered and the 653 was Kohler.  The front engine tabs are a bit different FYI

    Thanks for the info pullstart it has a 6 hp Kohler on it it took me a while to come to the conclusion it was a 653 looking at pics and researching  thats what I believe it is

    The 653 was originally a Tecumseh powered tractor, so was the 603.  The 633 and the 753 were the Kohler models. 633 a K141 6HP and the 753 a K161 7HP. 

     

    Regardless, if you have a Kohler on it now (6,7 or 8HP) any belt guard from a 62-68 6-8HP Kohler powered models will fit.
