Removed from my 2004 315-8 after the electric clutch self destructed.  The motor is perfect in every way.   I was wrong in my original post regarding the stripped bolt and crank.  I went back and checked again and realized I was wrong. (see pic)   I converted the tractor to an old school Magnum.   Sorry no shipping

If anyone buys this engine, please know it can be used with a manual clutch assembly from a GT1100/1142.  You will need the special drive pulley that's machined on the backside for a thrust bearing. That drive pulley is unique to the GT 1100/1142. You will need to make a plate from 1/8" or  3/16" steel and mount it to the block.  This provides a surface for the thrust bearing to ride on.  I've done it and it works great.  The Kohler manual has the technical drawings needed to make the plate.
