  • Wheel Horse 310-8 (K241S) w/ Rear Discharge Deck

    I came across this Wheel Horse 310-8 and, after doing a little research, quickly learned that these old tractors have a pretty dedicated following.

    My original intention was to use it as a lawn tractor. However, once I realized what I had, I couldn't in good conscience just use it like an ordinary mower.

     

    It has the 10 HP Kohler K241S cast-iron engine, 8-speed manual transmission, and rear-discharge mower deck.

    It starts, runs, and drives great. 

    Based on the engine spec and serial number, I believe it to be a 1985 model. The tractor ID tag is still present, but the model and serial numbers have faded away.

     

    I put a new set of rear tires on it, and the previous owner sprayed black paint on some rust spots, which are visible in the pictures.
    Other than that, I haven't done anything to restore, repaint, or modify it.   

     

    Overall, it appears to be a largely original Wheel Horse with good sheet metal, original decals, and a good seat. It has the normal wear, paint loss, and surface rust you'd expect from a tractor of this age.

     

    I'm really just looking to find it a good home with someone who appreciates these machines.
