      Price: 800.00

    Hello All,

I was going to stick this in classifieds but figured it would get more action here...

Long story short... I picked up this very clean C120-A (manual lift, Tecumseh 12...) this past weekend.

Was pleasantly surprised to find it has points instead of the electronics that work or don't and are impossible to repair or find

Was also pleasantly surprised to find the carburetor spotless---although it wouldn't start and the previous owner gave up---thats how I got it.

I found the tip of the needle broken off and thats all it needs---I had it running with no needle just to listen to it and check for smoke, the results?---no smoke... no noises.

It has a new Briggs vacuum pump on it but not ideally placed or setup... battery is good... tires are fantastic.... seat is very nice with one small tear

Deck is clean with new blades... plow is clean.... on and on... its just a very nice original with very minor "damage" / modifications...

I did not get this for free and I did go around 100 miles to get it.

I'm putting it out here for $800 as it sits... plow, deck, weights, chains, tractor, hubcaps (fronts), original seat and so on... I'm hoping a Tecumseh guy just has to have it.

I realize the Tecumsehs don't command the respect or love of the Kohlers... but I figure theres someone that wants it. Hey.... I like all the Briggs powered "junks" lol....

Message me if you want more pics or specifics...

    Tony

    Hi Tony

I have zero experience with T engines and want to learn and see if T engines would be of interest as I'm a Kohler fan. Parts are hard to find in general for the entire engine? The T engines were an option for a limited time? Rare engine?

Needle broken. Needle valve in carb? And why is there a Briggs vac pump installed? If I get rid of some items May... possibly consider this. TIA.

@ANTPER Not Rare... just another option "back in the day" parts not hard in general. Parts for the electronic ignition ones are IMPOSSIBLE. Thats why points is huge plus... fuel pumps are also impossible. But the Briggs one works correctly and is as easy as 2 sheet metal screws to mount and hook up hoses. When you refer to the needle and seat in carburetor (controls fuel flow into carb and maintains correct fuel level) the rubber tip of the needle is broken in this carb. A trip to lawnmower shop for a "needle and seat kit" is all you need.

Its a clean semi unique unit...

    Tony
