prink3 0 #1 Posted April 24, 2009 Hey everyone, I've been lurking on here for a few years, and I think I have a question I finally haven't been able to get answered by searching. A testament to the wealth of knowledge on this site. I have a 518 I bought from TT as a parts tractor that I've recently repowered and set up for mowing with a 42RD deck that came with my C series. The 518 had the T shaped lift bar in the frame for lifting the mower deck. I adjusted the nut at the back of the deck to get it cutting level, and then the nut on the tractor lift to get it so it would pick the deck up higher. When I started there was hardly a difference between up and down. Now it lifts the deck, but the mower lift bar contacts the bearing housing for the steering shaft well before the rubber stops hit the floor board. Is the mower lift suppose to come up between the steering bearing and the right frame rail? Any other adjustments the deck that I'm missing? Thanks, Mike
