dstriker 2 #1 Posted June 24, 2018 I got this tractor for free so can’t complain it has a 12 hp Kohler on it from what I can see from the tag the model # is k301xx wore off after the 1 any idea what this is and how to keep it running it runs good for maybe half hour then just dies and have to let it sit then will start back up
dstriker 2 #2 Posted June 24, 2018 I’m guessing it’s a fuel problem but not sure seemed to loose power after it runs for a little bit
953 nut 51,682 #3 Posted June 25, 2018 If the vent in your fuel cap is plugged the fuel pump removing fuel from the tank will create a slight vacuum that the fuel pump is not strong enough to overcome.
dstriker 2 #4 Posted June 25, 2018 That appears to be open it also seemed to run longer when I filled the tank completely full of fuel

moe1965 718 #6 Posted June 25, 2018 I had a similar issue and it turned out to be the mechanical fuel pump. I switched it over to a eletric fuel pump and have not had any further issues
