Proper B80 coil bracket?

Could you folks please post a pic or two of your coil mount bracket on a Kohler 8?

Mine is on a vertical Mount beside the engine and it's vibrates quite a lot. Not sure if that should bug me too much but I always thought coils and vibration were not friends.....

Here is a picture of mine on a 77 B80 it's horizontal mounted. Hope it helps.

Very nice tractor!   

Mine is turned vertically so the coil wire goes up and across.

I'll turn mine the way yours is, and route the wire through a clamp so the wire won't be rubbing on the engine top cover.

My concern is the bracket vibrates back and forth about a 1/4 inch or so at most.

I know at some point metal fatigue will take over and break it.

Maybe I can run a brace of some sort to the engine top....

You're welcome and thanks. I love this old girl but can take no credit for it's condition. I bought it this way, back in March. The guy was very good at what he did. He restored things for a hobby and then for a living. We are almost neighbors lol I live in NH. Good luck.

Yep.

Went through there on our way to the meet n greet just a couple weeks ago.
