pgiro 36 #1 Posted May 2, 2017 I have a 77 D160, and the electric PTO worked most of the time until recently. Now it's not working at all. I checked that I have 12v going to the electric clutch. Does anyone know what the resistance or ohm reading should be for a healthy clutch? Interested also in what others have done to repair or replace the electric clutch.. Thanks,
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 10,498 #2 Posted May 2, 2017 This service bulletin is dated 1984 so likely applies Garry
pgiro 36 #3 Posted May 3, 2017 Thanks for the document. Looks like the clutch should read 2.75-3.40 ohms. Mine tests at 1.7 ohms so good chance that it's bad.
pfrederi 17,147 #4 Posted May 3, 2017 Take a look at this thread. I do not have a D with an electric PTO but it should be similar to the others. the coil may be interchageable
82Caddy 851 #5 Posted May 3, 2017 Which electric PTO do you have? I have some random D series PTO's around that I won't be using.

pgiro 36 #8 Posted May 5, 2017 I don't have it disassembled yet so it's hard to send you a picture at this point. I will hopefully get to work on it over the weekend.
