Wheel horse model number

12 hp Kohler

I just picked up this wheel horse for $100, I know it doesn't have the original engine, but I'm not sure what model the tractor is. I originally was under the impression that is was an 854 but it doesn't appear to be that.if anyone has an idea of the model I would like to know.IMG_0264.thumb.JPG.9a277975f2f5cdc00193d4aceeb49811.JPGIMG_0267.thumb.JPG.69d4d0929a55ae755fa3628d87030402.JPGIMG_0268.thumb.JPG.075db81b2c1ad8d8827adf21f65d3996.JPGIMG_0270.thumb.JPG.550251447f86b5d1828639d7e571049e.JPGIMG_0274.thumb.JPG.cafd4c3248bd7449281de925e9e802b5.JPG

Your going to have to be a private detective look underneath and measure the bolt distances Width (side to side) Length (front to rear) where the original engine was bolted down and then do a comparison to see if a Kohler 702 or Techy 502 or 552 was in it. A 502 was pull start and 552 was electric start. That will get you closer to really know. Good Luck!  :handgestures-thumbupright:

I think Garry nailed it again. It's not a 64 based on the steering wheel and not a 62 based on the front axle. The 854 also had a different dash plate and I think I see a starter switch which wasn't on the 64's. :)

The 1962s did not have the star wheel for the lift lever...it is a 1963.  :)  Now check the bolt holes to see if the Tecky or the Kohler would be original.
