Refinished Wheel Covers

It's amazing how nicely these wheel covers clean up with diet Coke and aluminum foil.

Mine were in pretty bad shape when I got them and they have no rust now.

The set I had powder coated the chrome was actually peeling of like wall paper and pitted that's why I went this way, another set I did clean up, Jeff.

I was lurking around craigslist a while back and found a NEAT big-tired tricycle for my boys for next to nothin. We went and picked it up and it needed all new tires and was looking a little down. (Though the boy was happy!) The front tire was leaking down to nothing about once every ten minutes.

So I decided that it needed a bit of work done to it. This is my first experience with powder coating (I had a set of tractor wheels done at the same time) but it turned out real nice. WH Red (I guessed RAL3002, but not sure how it compares to 3003, but it looks like a dead ringer to the mint 48" deck I have) And RAL1013 for the off white. I spent a small (relative) fortune on it between the tires, bearings, and coating, but it should last a good long time for them. I also built a trailer frame and had it and the wheels coated to match so I can make him a dump trailer to tow around.

I have to admit, I am a bit jealous of that one!
